Chloe looked up at the office building. She had been there once the summer before last with a friend she met at her book club for a birthday party. The host's fiancé had told her about the building and the spa on the fourth floor and suggested she go there, as it was the best spa around the area. She didn't have money to go to a spa like that and Jonathon would never have approved.
She had enjoyed the party, they had bar-b-qued on the roof and entertained in their condo until nearly two in the morning, at least that's when she left, and there were still several people around when she headed home. When she had gotten home, Jonathan was not back yet. He had a meeting out of town and should have been able to make it back late, but he had texted her around 9:00 p.m. saying he missed the flight back. He would have to catch the later one and wouldn't get home until very late, and she should not wait up for him.
