Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: learning about mutations

As Urraina was swimming, her fins started to grow longer and more full in color, her scales were more streamlined, and her tail's black crystal became slim and long. Her fangs grew sharper too, so as she was biting a fish she accidentally bit too hard and chipped one of her fangs.

"OW! The heck?!? Oh, my fangs got sharper. Was this what that argonian meant when I would evolve? If I'm gonna evolve, I'd rather have it look kinda like my old body but kinda tall." As Urraina contemplated on her situation, a small, piranha-looking fish attempted to eat the crystal on her tail and ended up breaking its teeth. It still ended up somehow biting Urraina's tail, so she was "awakened" out of her stupor.

"GASGH WHAT LITTLE FUCKER BIT MY TAIL?!?!" She quickly turned around to look at the wriggling bite-fish on her tail, and promptly ate it. "Grrr, for a flesh eating fish, you taste pretty bad. I don't even know what's on your teeth!" She licks her wounds on her tail as the rest of the fish in the lakeshore swim away quickly to make space for something dangerous. Her instincts quickly warning her of something, she immediately ran off into the forest hiding behind a very thick tree.

Out of the water came a giant (around a 1,000lb human) blackish blue iguana with a dolphin-like mammal in its mouth. "Well. Good to know there was a giant-ass reptilian in there. Great, how am I supposed to go back in that area without getting seen? Oh wait, the forest! I bet I can find some kind of village in there since I saw that Maine-guy in there!" And so, the large-medium dog-sized purple finned lizard ran deeper into the forest with reckless abandon, passing by devouring saplings, blue beetles, red dragonflies, and some small yellow-scaled lizards.

As Urraina ran, she ended up tripping on a root and hitting a tree with her side and hit a few cracked ribs in return.

"Geh... not really my day today, is it? I can walk this off sooner or later since I don't know shit about the plants here." Urraina raised her head, sniffing for any smoke-like smell or other things such as rust and spices unique to sentient beings. Then, she ran three feet to her left and then ran as fast as she could with a limp into the underbrush that had many surprises waiting.
