Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: First mutation

As Urraina was walking, she ended up in an area that had a major and unnatural increase in air density.

"Great, first broken ribs, now this? Sheesh."

As she walked, the bumps on her back were growing larger by the minute (about 2in per minute) when she stumbled on a pretty-looking pine tree that had an abnormal amount of small birds around it. "The hell's this, some kind of bird tree? Many o' the birds are resting though, this is a good chance!"

She stealthily walked with a surprising amount of silence and even though purple and yellow are pretty bold under sunlight, they were good surprisingly good camouflage in the literal mess of colors that the jungle is. When Urraina got close to the largest bird she could reach without disturbing, and pounced, alarming the other birds. She immediately ran away with the struggling worm in her mouth, since learning at the giant-ass lake that if there's so much prey in one place, there's gotta be a big boss. She ran as far as she could and a few minutes later, there was an angry yet high-pitched roar coming from the direction she ran away from. "Hoo, I was right! I can't keep stealing from the big shots in this jungle if I want to save my ass... if I could call it that." Urraina looks at her back and realizes she now had a crystal on her tail and larger bumps on her back. "Wow, these appendages really did get bigger somehow! Haha! I'm gonna be able to fly! Maybe I'll become a draconian soon! Wait... I can't skip the argonian stage, can I? Spindlebones, this is gonna take a whole lot of time." Urraina then proceeded to walk to the nearest tree with a hole to take a long nap.

And while she napped, it seemed that something was watching her through the sky...

{interesting reincarnator, isn't that right Yggdrasil?}. [Bah, don't remind me of my own pathetic reincarnators! My asgardians are cowardly now while your warriors are still strong and brave!] {give the a motivation to actually do something with those pesky little world fruits of yours and you'd have soldiers just like mine.}. [You know my situation, Yggardael! Some snake-worm's been eating at my roots and a pigeon's been eating my leaves! You know I can't do much with those two around.] {you can always shake them off, but it's just that you are too lazy to do anything that involves actually moving, no~?} [Dammit...]
