MAYA
We stood guard until nightfall, still there was no sign of or news from the Alpha. My mom came back totally out of it, she could not trace my dad anywhere, and she can't leave the pack solely to me when she knew some persons might be plotting amidst us.
I was felt something bad was going to happen soon. If the so-called werewolf hunters were to attack, will I be able to defend my pack?
I'm not eighteen yet, though I could feel my powers awakening slowly but, it doesn't mean I can fight werewolf hunters. The trainings I had was with Nathan, and we sometimes do a one-on-one combat, but that was more like a friendly match between friends, if a real fight was to occur I'm not sure if I can fight them.
My mom has overestimated me, I can't lead Blood Rose pack, not now, I don't want anything to happen to my parents either.
I sobbed quietly so no one could hear me. Moon goddess, if you can hear me, please let everyone in Blood Rose pack be safe.
I did not sleep a wink until the next day, so also my mom and the pack warriors. Lucas slept and snored like a frog.
Tania slept only at the break of dawn. Everyone was looking pretty much exhausted but still worried about we haven't heard from the Alpha nor his followers yet.
Tania woke up a few hours later. Surprisingly, she walked up to me and sat down beside me.
"Hey, can we talk?
"Yea, sure", I said.
"Do you think they will be okay?, I mean our Alpha, Nathan, and everyone out there."
Hmm, now I don't have an answer to Tania's questions because I am as devastated as she is now.
I wanted to tell her everything she thought about might be really true, but seeing Tania come down from her high horse and looking so broken got me tearing up without a word.
"Tania… I can't tell you they will be safe, but I really…. really do hope they are safe."
NATHAN
I took Alpha Rogers and our pack warriors down the forest leading to where my dad has been captured.
"Nathan?, are you very sure it was werewolf hunters who captured your dad?".
Alpha Rogers asked me for the third time. The Alpha Rogers is smart, and he would discover my lies soon enough.
Suddenly, he halted and so did everyone.
" Nathan!, you should have known am no fool, now tell me for the last time, Who kidnapped my beta!". Alpha Rogers used his Alpha tone and I fell to the ground on my knees.
"I'm so sorry Alpha, My dad's life's at stake, I was told to bring you here by Alpha Derrick. He…. he… Threatened to kill my dad if I refuse to". I sobbed bitterly.
" Nathan! What have you done!? Alpha Rogers growled.
"You should have told me before we left the pack, I would have saved your father right away. Do you know what you have done?, you just gave the enemy an entry into our pack!.?
"No need to shout at the kid Alpha Rogers, I'm here now."
"Derrick?, what is the meaning of this. Why did you kidnap my beta?
"Wrong question, what you should be asking is why are you here?"
"So, why am I here?"
"Good question!, well, you are here because your time as Alpha in Blood Rose pack has finally come to an end".
"How dare you!?, what right do you have to decide when my time was up or not?, In your dreams Alpha Derrick!."
"Now you are greatly mistaken, I have no right to decide on your pack, but my certainly do now.
"Your sister…you mean Lana?, wait why would she want my pack, she's not Luna neither is she an Alpha!, Rogers spoke angrily.
"Well am sorry to tell you Alpha Rogers that my men are already on their way to your pack, too bad you don't have loyal subjects as you think, else it wouldn't have been easy infiltrating your territory."
I trembled in fear, I can't believe I helped Derrick and Lana in their plans. I have to find my Dad.
"You won't get away with this, Derrick, You will have to step over me before you get a hold of my pack!".
The next scene was filled with wolves shifting, blood splattered everywhere, Alpha Rogers and Derrick got into a terrible fight including the warriors from both sides.
In the fit of the battle, I escaped to go rescue my dad. When I got there, two pack guards were stationed at the door.
Getting down this two guards won't be a problem since I'm already healing. The wolfs bane used on me was not that much, I guess.
I shifted to my wolf and launched my attack on them. I targeted the neck of one of them which was left bleeding to death, the other went for my shoulders as he sunk his teeth into me, I quickly wriggled myself from his grasp and aimed for his under belly which was left bleeding.
By the time I was done, the two wolves laid lifeless on the ground.
I rushed in to find my dad struggling to free himself from the rope.
"Dad, am here now." I said untying his rope.
"Why are you here?, what about the pack and Alpha Rogers, did you inform him?".
I ignored the questions as I continued untying the rope.
"Answer me!, what did you do?". I paused, I could not meet his eyes as tears ran down my cheeks.
"I'm sorry dad, I had to choose my family.
Dad there was nothing we could have done, I saw with my eyes that Lana had more followers, she practically owned the pack now. Her soldiers were stationed around the pack's territory."
Beta Raymond felt so disappointed in his son, he could not believe his son would help in the destruction of their pack.
Raymond hit is son so hard on the face.
"You are a disappointment, how could the moon goddess give me a child like you!?,
What have you done!?."
Raymond dashed out of the room in rage.
"Dad, where are you going?, please don't go back to the pack. Alpha Rogers and Derrick are already at war.".
At Nathan's statement, he stopped walking.
"You see what you have caused, Nathan, you have brought about the downfall of your pack!"
I'm so ashamed to bore a son who is nothing but a coward!."
Raymond left limping as he ran towards where he sensed his Alpha was.
"I should have known I won't be able to stop my dad from the battle.
Everything I have done has become useless.
Damn Derrick!, he never had the intention of letting my family off because he knew my Dad would fight to the death, yet I became the pawn in his game.
What have you done, Nathan?.
Arrrrrgh....
FIGHTING SCENE
Alpha Rogers and Alpha Derrick fought ferociously.
Derrick tried using his witch spell on Rogers to make him weak, but Rogers was much stronger than a witch spell.
Roger's calculated Derrick's every move,, but he wasn't just attacked by Derrick alone. Four more wolves attacked him when they found their Alpha being defeated. Rogers being a strong Alpha, laid off the four of them instantly.
He bit and tore Derrick's shoulder, leaving him whimpering in pain.
"You should never have messed with my pack, I would rather fight to the death."
Derrick laughed like a maniac at the words of Rogers.
"It's over Rogers, there's nothing you can do now, your pack has already been invaded as we speak.
I sent a signal to them already, and they are on their way to the pack.
What a pity Rogers, your pack will be having a new leader by tomorrow.
Now you should worry about how you can get our here alive because there will be no way out for you.
Derrick used this medium to buy time for his torn shoulders to heal. He attacked Rogers again, and they fought as two Alpha wolves seeking to dominate the other.
Some other wolves joined in the fight with the Alpha. Rogers was cornered by three wolves, but he killed them all in one swoop, dismembering their head from the neck.
He wasn't called the bravest and strongest Alpha for nothing, but what he didn't know was, Derrick was using every means possible to weaken him, so he can use his last planned resort on him.
Rogers tried so many times mind linking his pack,, but it never worked.
Derrick made sure all links was cut
off the moment they stepped out of Blood Rose territory.
More werewolves attacked Rogers, and so he killed every one of them, but strangely, they kept coming in masses as though they never feared they would meet the same fate as the rest he killed.
Rogers wondered why the wolves were relentless in attacking an Alpha they know they cannot defeat. He noticed something was off,, but he had no time to figure that out as he continued killing as many that came attacking.
Derrick watched, smirking that his plans will soon take effect.
