Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The soccer ball

Gerrik and mug walked the city with no destination in mind. Over bridges, past carts and buildings they roamed.

"Hey, Mr. Best?", Gerrik began.

"Hmmm?", the mug responded in kind.

"What type of conclusion are you looking for?", Gerrik asked

"I don't know that's why I'm looking", the best father's day mug continued walking.

although he never walked too far in front.

"I'm glad to have you, I never liked being lonely", Gerrik said shooting the breeze with the mug.

Soon they came across a grassy knoll, a small hill area with a large patch of green grass.

The grass was a grayish green with dull yellow flowers here and there.

What was noticable was the brown aura around another etherial ghostly object of a circle. About the size of a hula-hoop or a yoga ball sitting quietly in a dirt patch.

They decided to walk up to it.

"Greetings", it said to them

Gerrik could make out a checkmark on it.

the mug said succiently, "are you a ball?"

the object replies, "I don't know". it changed form from baseballs, to tennis balls, to handballs, volleyballs and more.

"they all just don't feel right", the round object said to them.

It became a lopsided playground ball.

"Where did you come from?", the mug asked.

"I don't know", it responded

"This place just feels familiar to me", it admitted.

"Have you tried adding shapes like a checkmark or a star shape?", Gerrik suggested.

the mug was interested in Gerrik's comment but didn't say anything.

the playground ball started adding stripes and stars, it became a frisbee, a shuttlecock, before turning into a round disk.

"What an odd fellow", Gerrik said to his acquiantence.

"yeah, definitely odd.", the mug seemed to say sarcastically.

They walked away leaving the round object to find it's shape. Perhaps it may just be missing a triangle? who knows.

Gerrik and the mug started wandering again eventually stumbling into an old acquiantence.
