Chapter 28 - I'm weak

The sun creeping through the curtains on the window to fall on Marcys pillow kissing her cheek. Marcy winces at the brightness creeping in as she squints through her eye lashes. She looks around confused for a moment when it all starts flooding back in. She remembers exactly where she is and how she got there. She remembers that she has to get up because the pack will be there to decide when to go home today. Then there was last night, last night! Marcy rolls over to find Ian not only still there he's smiling at her, be must have been watching her sleep she thinks to herself. Marcy smiles back noticing Ian has sucured her to him by hooking his arm around Marcys waist. Marcy looks up at Ian through her lashes with her tired eyes widening Ian's sheepish grin as he leans down to kiss her on the forehead.

Marcy can see it though, Ian tries desperately to hide the worry on his face with no avail. "What is it?" Marcy asks hesitantly not sure she wants the answer as she looks up to see Ian's face. Ian runs his knuckle down her cheek "I'm weak!" He says trying to hide his whirlwind of emotions. "I put you in an impossible situation again, bacause I'm selfish and weak. I never deserved you and never wanted to bring you into this life. But here we are exactly where I longed for us to be but exactly where I never should have put you Marcy. It was never me fighting you it was me fighting me for what you deserved!" "You aren't weak, I'm simply stronger than you are" Marcy smiles as she sits up to look at Ian face to face. A smile pulls at the corners of Ians mouth and he shake his head at Marcy. "You don't understand, I should have told you from the moment I knew I had feelings for you what my world came with." "I know, most of it anyway" Marcy says holding her ground with Ian unwilling to waiver. Ian is caught by surprise knowing he had told her next to nothing about the way his world worked. "Max?" He asks not waiting for her to answer "we mate for life Marcy it's much deeper than marriage with in a normal world or setting, now because I wasn't fully honest with youl, you have been marked for life. You can never go back to the way you were before and we both have to live with that!" Marcy nods her head aware of what she's been told, and only now seeing the pain it is causing isn to think he took her life away from her. "I made my choice Ian and I hope since you were so hell bent on protecting me that means you are okay with your choice as well. You are my best friend, I couldn't imagine a life without you and he have naturally been drawn to each other since the day we met. So if I get to keep you for life then good, if I get to take some of the pressure off your shoulders even better, if I can give you the care and compassion you deserve let me. I'm not leaving my old life behind really the only that has changed is us!" Ian filled with delight at her words and grabbed her by the face to kiss her. "This won't be easy for the pack" Ian says placing his forehead on hers.
