Lora didn't know what to do, or what to say. (Screw you Samantha! How could you do this to me!?) She thought to herself. She turned to Dante with her face slightly looking down…
"Okay...s-so let's continue our tour." She said. Dante nodded with a warm smile. She went on to show him the art rooms, science labs, music rooms and of course the bathrooms…
" Okay...you weren't kidding when you said you had everything." Said Dante.
" Well… yeah. They really put alot into this school." Lora replied.
"So what's your favorite place...in this school that is." He asked.
Lora thought about it for a bit. In about 8 minutes they were at the top of the school. Lora went and sat at the balcony and Dante followed, almost all of Starview could be seen from there. The houses, the city...even the hills that were famous for a perfect place for star gazing.
"Whoa… I see why you like it here." Said Dante.
"It's cool right?" Asked Lora.
"Yeah it is...this is a wonderful town…"
Lora stared at Dante as he gazed out at the horizons. When he turned to look at her she looked away…
"Hahaha! You are one bashful lady…" Said Dante.
"Wh-what! No way!"
"You act way different from when we're playing Minecraft…
"No!, I just didn't think you'd sh-show up so suddenly.."
"Didn't I tell you I was going to transfer here?"
"Well...okay you did…" Lora admitted. However she kept looking downwards. Dante stood up, walked over to Lora and held out his hand.
"Maybe we didn't do this the right way… hi, I'm Dante Santez, and you are…?"
Lora looked at his hand, then her eyes met with his. She couldn't help but smile…
" I'm Lora Sullivan." She said.
" Nice to meet you Lora, I hope we can be good friends…"
They both smiled at each other, until they ended up laughing.
" Are we seriously acting out a scene from an anime?" Lora said as she laughed.
" How else was I supposed to make you comfortable…around me?"
When they were done laughing, Lora noticed his wrist watch…
"Oh...what could be the time?" She asked. Dante checked his wrist watch.
" It's almost 3PM" he said.
"Really? I have to go then…"
" What!? The sun hasn't even started to set…"
" Well...ever since my aunts were murdered in no less than two weeks, I haven't been so jolly about staying out late."
" Oh …right, I'm sorry."
" No it's okay… death comes to everyone right…?" said Lora. There was a deep silence.
" Yeah… it does." Dante replied. He had a sad look on his face, almost apologetic. Lora wondered if he was upset because she had to leave.
" Why don't we walk home together?" She said. Dante looked up at Lora….
"Sure, why not?" He said with a smile.
" Yo bull dog, I need some more. The last batch you gave me got robbed…" Donald said over the phone as he sat in his room. The place was dirty and his clothes aswell as junk was scattered everywhere.
" What the hell man, how could you let yourself get played like that?" Said the voice on the phone.
" I think it's some scumbag from school, he'll be dead by tomorrow"
"Haha! , don't be too hard on him."
"I can't promise anything…"
" Anyway we can meet at the usual place, y'know… behind that hardware store."
" Good, I have to go... my mom might walk in on me again."
"K bro, see you tomorrow." He hang up. Donald walked up to his door and locked it. He pulled out a magazine from under his bed and opened it. The pages displayed naked girls in lewd poses.
" That's the stuff…" he said as he got to work.
Lora woke up feeling uneasy. Matthew said he managed to get rid of the weed...so why did she have another empty dream? She wondered as she stood in her room. She could tell that this was far from over. Will this ever stop,or will she have to bear this curse of dreams for the rest of her life? She couldn't say for sure, and it's because of that she couldn't stay positive. When she dressed up she went downstairs to the kitchen and found her mother doing the dishes as usual. Her father just drove off. She sat at the table and her mother set her breakfast in front of her.
"Morning Lora…" she greeted her.
"Hi mom." Lora replied plainly. Her mother cleaned one more plate and then turned off the faucet. Silence filled up the kitchen and the only thing that resisted it was the sound of the refrigerator buzzing.
"Lora… are you okay? You've been seeming off lately." Said her mother.
"What do you mean?" She said.
"You barely ever look at me when we talk these days, at dinner it's like you're not even there… did you even help your little sister out with that project?"
" Wait, I don't remember her telling me about a project…" said Lora.
" She did, during dinner last night, you nodded your head when she asked." Said her mom. Lora thought about it and she could only remember her sister talking to her, however only the mouth moved and the words refused to come out.
"Oh… I guess she did…I'm sorry…" Lora said to her mother. Her mom let another silence sink in...then she continued,
" Are you still sad about the death of your aunties?" She asked.
Lora stopped her fork at mid air. She knew this wouldn't be easy in the first place, the nightmares, finding the killer, school, family… she'd have to juggle between all these without losing her grip, not even a bit. Her mother was still grieving over her sister in law, more especially her sister. Lora stood up and hugged her, she thought of her aunt Lana and couldn't help but harbor a bit of regret. They hugged for about 3 minutes, then she said goodbye to her mom and started off to school. Meanwhile, Matthew was already in class with his laptop. Searching through Donald's information by means of hacking, a skill he acquired in his free time. He had just realized he was a fool if he thought Donald wouldn't make another order for weed. All alone in class, he checked through Donald's information…
"There will never be anything scarier than an empty browser history…" he muttered to himself as he stared at the screen.
He then noticed that he had made some calls online to a certain number he dubbed 'bull dog'. He proceeded to take a notebook and write it down, he got his phone and ringed the number.
