I know that I should keep going. I need to get to my quarters. I need to be alone. I open the door and my luck is in, there is no Sally. I close the door behind me and it almost feels as if I want to lock it. I slide down the door with my hands in my hair and then it hits me. I am doing the exact same thing I tell my patients not to do. I run away instead of facing my problems, head on.

 

I lift up my head in disappointment. How can I say this to all my patients if I can not even face my fears head on. I stand up and think, I should just come out and tell him what is going on. I remember how I would tell my patients that if that person should reject you, you would know that he or she is not worth your time. Then, without warning, a burst of confidence fills my being. I open the door and walk determinedly toward the Captain's quarters.
