Chapter 6 - An Alimony

"Dad, you don't work?" asked Kinanti. Currently there are only the two of them and Zaskia who are being fed by Mrs. Surti in the back gazebo. Because Ayu has left for work early in the morning, whether she really goes to work or has other business, let it be her privacy.

"It's also about to leave, take care of Zaskia, okay? If there's anything, let me know right away!" Kinanti smiled as she grabbed the back of her husband's hand for her to kiss.

"Sir, let's go to Agasa and Partners Law Firm first," ordered the number one person in Angkasa Group to the driver.

The man who still looked dashing even though he was almost half a century old focused his gaze out the window, observing the passing vehicles. Suddenly, he realized his only daughter's request yesterday.

Galih reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a flat object bearing the apple logo that had been bitten on the back. "Bay, please investigate the man who is Bella Qanesyah's fiancé." Galih asked when his phone connection with the trusted person was connected.

After receiving an answer from Bayu Rianto, Galih hung up the phone. Galih leaned his back on the car seat, he seemed hesitant to find the man he hoped to be his son-in-law, first.

"Sir, we have arrived," said Ferdy, the driver of Galih's family. With firm and dashing steps Galih entered the two-story building.

"I want to meet Agasa," Galih said to someone in front of his friend's room.

"Mr. Agasa is waiting for you inside, sir," replied the polite woman clad in a maroon robe with a matching hijab.

Galih opened the door to Agasa Maha Putra's room without knocking it first, as a result the owner of the room grumbled in annoyance.

"This is my room, knock on it," said a civil specialist lawyer who started his career 20 years ago.

"You also like to go to my office like your forehead, right?" Galih doesn't seem to want to lose to his best friend.

Galih Surya Atmadja and Agasa Maha Putra had formed a friendship when they were still in white and gray uniforms.

But Galih had a better fate than Agasa. At the young age of 19, he married his first love, Kinanti Sekar Kinashi.

No one can predict the line of marriage, including Galih. The woman he married turned out to be Agasa's first love. But Kinanti's love for Agasa actually clapped her hands, Agasa didn't even return Kinanti's love.

"What do you want, here?" asked Agasa but his focus was still on the case files that he was ready to win at the court later.

"Here," Galih gave Yudi's divorce suit for Ayu. Agasa was shocked when he saw the Religious Court logo at the top of the file that Galih threw in front of him.

Will the household ark that Kinanti and Galih sailed for 27 years? That was the conclusion Galih caught when he looked deep into Agasa's two eyes.

"Ayu was sued for divorce by Yudi," explained Galih. Agasa was more shocked to hear his friend's explanation.

He gave a faint shake to cover his surprise. "Ayu your child?" accused Agasa. Galih chuckled in annoyance, did the lawyer in front of him really lose his intelligence or was he acting stupid?

"My children are only Angga and Ayu, you know that." Agasa's face suddenly turned pale when Galih mentioned Angga's name.

The events of the dark past were again engraved in his soul, even though 26 years had passed, but Agasa could not shake off the guilt that had pervaded his soul.

"Can we start the consultation?" asked Galih in his baritone tone, awakening Agasa from his daydreams of the past. He took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly. He pushed aside the file that had fallen into the corner of the table and left only the file that Galih had given him.

Several times Agasa was seen knitting his brows and scratching his forehead which didn't itch at all.

Agasa closed the file again, his hands crossed in front of his chest, "Too far-fetched," said Agasa.

"You said Ayu worked two years ago, why is her husband only now protesting? Even if he objected, he should have said something like this," protested Agasa. Galih just shrugged his shoulders, here he only has the capacity as a parent who wants the rights of his children and grandchildren to be fulfilled.

"I'm not here to hear all your protests, I want you to help me, so that my children and grandchildren get their rights from Yudi," explained Galih.

"What do you want to demand? Are you poor? Are you bankrupt to the point where you can't meet Ayu and Zaskia's needs?" asked Agasa with a tone full of scorn.

Galih is not a law school graduate, let alone a lawyer, but the man who turns 46 this year knows and obeys the law. Galih is not unable to finance, let alone support his children and grandchildren, he is the owner of the Angkasa Group, the largest advertising company in Indonesia.

Even the seven generations will not run out of rupiah coffers. But Galih wants Yudi to learn about responsibility, it's enough for his first wife and child from Cindy Desi Anggraini, whom he abandoned.

"I want Ayu to earn her iddah, past and mut'ah income. Likewise, Zaskia has to get her rights until she is 21 years old." Galih answered with emphasis.

"So, Yudi didn't provide for Ayu during the wedding?" asked Agasa with narrowed and probing eyes. Galih is now aware that when it comes to legal matters, he is still far behind his best friend.

On Agasa's guess just now he just smiled wryly. And Agasa rolled his eyes in disgust.

"Ayu can't demand a living from the past if Yudi has been providing for her all this time," said Agasa. Maaliyah livelihood or so far we are familiar with past livelihoods is something that is an obligation on someone that was not done in the past or in the past.

"Can not?" Galih repeated. Agasa firmly moved his head up and down, in response to his friend.

"I can't, Ayu can only demand a mut'ah and iddah living," replied Agasa.

Mut'ah is a gift from an ex-husband to his wife who was sentenced to divorce in the form of money or other objects.

Meanwhile, iddah maintenance is a living that must be given to the divorced wife and this maintenance lasts for 3-12 months depending on the menstrual condition of the divorced wife.

"Do whatever you think is good, I entrust this to you," said Galih.

"Then tell Ayu to come here, I want her to sign a special power of attorney," said Agasa.

"May I see a sample of the power of attorney?" asked Galih. Agasa was seen rummaging through his desk drawer, looking for some documents his best friend had asked for.

"Here!" Galih accepted the sample of the power of attorney given by Agasa without the slightest suspicion.

"In the power of attorney there are two attorneys who act as the recipient of the power of attorney, you know for yourself, my client does not only come from within the city," explained Agasa while he laughed.

Galih's two eyeballs seemed to want to scatter when they saw one of the names acting as the beneficiary, the person who had disappeared since 4 years ago was here at his best friend's law firm.

"Sa, where is he? I want to meet him, show me where he is, Sa?" asked Galih in a shrill tone that made Agasa's ears suddenly heat up.
