Chapter 9 - Return

"He has GDM?" Galih was shocked when he found out that the person he was looking for had GDM.

"Yes, sir," answered Bayu straightforwardly.

GDM or Major Depressive Disorder is a mental health disorder characterized by a persistently depressed mood or loss of interest in activities, causing a significant reduction in the quality of daily life. Possible causes include tension that stems from a combination of biological, psychological, and social conditions.

A growing body of research shows that these factors can cause changes in brain function, including abnormal activity of certain neural circuits in the brain.

Galih refocused on reading the information that Bayu had received for him, but he felt as if he had betrayed what danger sign was this? Going to his office is certainly not a good choice, considering Agasa has given him leave for the next few days.

Galih grabbed the car keys that were on his desk and walked in a hurry to leave the Angkasa Group area. Driving his car alone without a driver, of course his destination was the apartment belonging to a lawyer with a senior associate position.

But unfortunately the unit he was aiming for, in fact had been uninhabited for a long time. For sale or leave no one knows. The bitter pill of disappointment had to be swallowed again by Galih Surya Atmadja for failing to fulfill his little angel's wish.

Kinanti and Zaskia had left the Bakti Husada Hospital an hour ago. Ayu chose to stay in this place with the alibi of visiting one of her office colleagues who was giving birth.

Even though Ayu's intention was not that, the real reason for staying in this place was to get more information about the patient who had had a single accident.

Although parts of his face are covered with wounds, Ayu knows that the patient is the man she has been looking for all this time, the man who will always be a complement to her life. Walking back and forth in front of the emergency room is like waiting for a boil that has turned red and then bursts.

"Doc, how's the patient from the accident just now? Are you okay, Doc?" Ayu asked in a trembling voice.

The doctor who was questioned also raised his eyebrows, "I am the family of the male patient, Doc," Ayu added.

"Only bruises from the impact and there is also a tear from being hit by glass shards on his temple," explained the Doctor because he easily believed Ayu's words.

"I want to meet my brother, Doc," Ayu asked.

There is a little pain that Ayu feels when she covers her best friend's identity. Ayu was half running when the doctor allowed her to see the patient.

But getting closer to the hospital bed, a few doubts bothered his senses. Her steps were not as fast and long as before, this time Ayu stepped like a thief in action late at night.

Ayu's whole body froze when she saw that the patient was indeed the person who had disappeared from her life 4 years ago.

The way the universe works is sometimes beyond human comprehension, but one thing that Ayu will always understand, the best things will come at the right time. And maybe this is the best time for them to reunite after being someone who hurt each other in the past.

"Firman ... You're back? Is it really you?" Ayu tried her best to hold back her tears, but she was too weak to do that.

Firman Afif is not just a friend to Ayu, he and Firman may be a good unit in some ways. Ayu sobbed as she put her head on the chest of Firman.

Hugging and giving as many kisses on Firman's forehead, as much as he wanted.

"You, how come you have a heart for me? I want to hate you, but I can't, I'm always weak when it comes to you."

"There are many stories that I want to tell you, how was my struggle to give birth to Zaskia alone? How has Zaskia grown and developed so far? But I'm sorry for not being able to fulfill your one wish."

"Do you know? Akbar …." Ayu's sentence suddenly hangs, why can she forget to tell Akbar about this discovery.

Ayu swiftly took out her favorite flat object to contact Akbar regarding this valuable discovery. Akbar is as surprised as Ayu, a man who is the same age as Ayu finds it difficult to believe what her best friend says. How could Ayu easily find Firman?

Meanwhile, he alone had to mobilize many subordinates to find Firman Afif. Akbar just believed Ayu's words when his friend sent a photo of Firman lying on one of the hospital beds.

Ayu's focus returned to Firman, observing the irises of his best friend's face. Nothing has changed about him physically.

"I'm afraid you'll come back in the same form, but your feelings for me are different." Ayu thought.

The distance from Darma Corp to Bakti Husada Hospital is indeed quite far with an estimated 30-minute journey. But somehow a Thareq Akbar Satria only needed 20 minutes to get there.

Out of breath, Akbar entered the emergency room according to Ayu's instructions. Without the slightest shame or hesitation, Akbar opened the curtains one by one in the emergency room.

Similar to Ayu, Akbar's body suddenly froze when he saw a figure who disappeared without a trace from his life for 4 years. The figure who had made him live in regret.

"Yu," Akbar said softly. It was as if a thorn stuck in his throat made it difficult for him to speak. Ayu looked up at Akbar with a smile, the smile that had been lost when Firman was also lost among them.

Ayu can't be selfish, she understands that she's not the only one who wants to express her longing for Firman, Akbar also wants to do that.

"I'm out for a while, you take care of him." Ayu's goal this time was the canteen.

There are lips and throat that he must wet. Akbar's tears fell as well, his defenses broke unstoppable, "Man ... Is this really you? You're back and you're not going back, right? I beg of you, don't leave me again. Lo and Ayu may have been betrothed by the universe, you have to be the ones who hurt each other before you become worthy of each other."

"You have to wake up, you have to fight for Ayu, I've taken good care of Ayu and Zaskia while you're gone, now it's your job to make them happy." Akbar joked while giving a forced smile.

"Man, don't you know that Zaskia ...." Akbar's words just changed because of the arrival of a nurse who brought the news that the police who handled the ID card processing at the scene wanted to talk to the family of the victim.

Akbar hesitated to entrust the word to the nurse in charge, let alone to leave him alone. Akbar is afraid that Firman will go and disappear again, even though it sounds illogical, but Akbar is still afraid. In the end, it was the doctors and the police who came to Akbar.

"Patient's family?" guessed a policeman who was probably the same age as Galih.

"His best friend, both of his parents have died since he was 7 years ago," Akbar replied without deceit.

"According to our investigation at the scene of the accident the victim experienced …."
