Our day was pretty relaxed. Cam suggested we watch movies all day, so he took me to what he called the entertainment room. It was huge, with a big comfortable reclining couch and a TV about half the size of the wall. When we turned on the first movie, the sound caught me off guard. Apparently he had installed a hidden sound system too. I couldn't help but thinking that he had too much extra money at the time.
After a day of snuggling on the couch, watching TV, I'm tired. With my head curled up on Cam's chest, I start to doze off. The next thing I know, he's gently shaking my shoulder to wake me up.
When I look up at him, he asks, "Do you want to go to the bedroom, my love?"
Sitting up to stretch, I ask past a yawn, "That depends, what time is it?"
Cam looks at his cell. "It's a little past 6."
Only six o'clock? That won't do. I can't help but to think I'm wasting my days just laying around and sleeping. What can we go do that won't be too much? Looking over at Cam, I say, "Six is way too early to go to bed. I'm feeling lazy, to be honest. Can we go for a walk or something?"
He thinks about it for a minute. "Well, the sun should be set by now, so that should be fine for you. There's a bit of a chill though. Do you have a jacket?"
I jump up from the couch, excited to finally be getting out of the house. "Absolutely, let me go grab it real quick."
Rushing to my bedroom, I search through the closet for my hoodie. As I stand there looking for it, I feel that ache in my chest again. Jeez, it feels like someone put a heavy puppy on me or something. I take a deep breath and try to control my breathing. Cam must be feeling the same thing, because it starts to lighten. When it's almost completely gone, I hear him enter the room.
Coming up behind me, he wraps his arms over my chest. "Are you okay," he asks. The pain must have been pretty decent for him too, if he's asking.
I nod. "Yeah, I'm better now." Leaning into his hug, I enjoy his warmth for a minute. So our bond basically forces us to be close to each other? I wonder why that is. Though I drop the thought. There's nothing I can do about it now, after all.
Stepping out of Cam's embrace, I find my hoodie and put it on, then I slide on a pair of shoes. Looking up at Cam, "I'm ready when you are, hun."
A smirk runs across his face. "And what do I get after I take you for a walk, my love?"
Oh, he wants to play this game. Okay, I'll play. "Hmm, well, we can have fun if you want. Maybe take another bath together, or a shower if you want. But only if the walk is long enough."
"Oh, that does sound fun," He says, leaning in a bit as he wraps his arms around my waist. "But I may need a sneak preview."
Cheeky bastard. I love it. "Oh really?" I wrap my arms around his next and kiss him, nipping his lip as I do.
He leans into the kiss, opening his mouth to mine. We entwine our tongues, kissing heavy and hard. When we pull away, we're both breathing hard and I can feel my cheeks flush. I have a feeling if we don't go now, we won't.
Carefully working my way out of his grasp I say, "C'mon hun, lets go for that walk." I grab his hand and drag him to the door. I can feel a warmth spreading through me. I don't know how I can tell, but I know that it belongs to Cam. In the back of my mind, I can tell he's aroused and would prefer to be doing something else.
But he appeases me, walking out the front door, he leads me in the direct of a patch of woods next to his house. "Let's go this way," he says. "There's a trail that's pretty easy to walk down here.
As I follow him, I look up at the sky. The sun is setting, the sky filled with hues of orange and deep red as it sits low on the horizon. Everything looks so bright and vibrant. I had forgotten it was this beautiful.
We reach the trail, the woods bursting with the sounds of life. At first, it's overwhelming. As I pick Cam's hand back up, he looks at me, worry etched on his face. "It gets easier." He leaves it at that. He must know what was bothering me. Though I guess he would. All vampires have incredible hearing and vision. It didn't cross my mind that it would be so hard to get used to.
I can see the footpath Cam was talking about. It looks worn down, that's for sure. He must have walked it quite often for it to be that way. As we start down the trail, he says, "We won't go far, since you're still recovering, but we can go about a quarter of the way in, if you want."
"That should be fine. I just can't stay in the house all day like that. I'm so used to going to work and don't things that it's throwing me a little off." It's true. I'd often walk to work, since it was close to the house, so I was always getting exercise.
We walk for a while, maybe about a mile or so. Then, Cam leads me off the trail. " Where are we going?"
" You'll see," is all he says. Cryptic much?
After a few minutes, I hear running water and we reach an outcropping of stones. As we walk toward them I see that it turns into a short but steep cliff. We stand on the edge. Looking down, I see the water I heard. It's formed a creek, sitting into a valley its carved itself.
"This is my favorite spot to come when I need to get out of the house. And since you're my favorite person, I thought I'd show you."
Wow, I still can't get over how sweet he can be. Standing here, it's actually kind of romantic. Then my big mouth kills the mood. "I thought Lawrence was your favorite person."
He chuckles. "Lawrence is my best and oldest friend, yes. But he can be a sour pill at times. You're my favorite because you make me actually feel something. Before we met, I was in a bit of a dark spot, as I've mentioned, but it was more than that. I was starting to hate this eternal life. Then I met you, and things have gotten so much brighter. You're like my light shining in the dark. If I hadn't found you, I don't know what I would've done. I shudder at the thought."
Okay, maybe my mouth didn't kill the mood after all. I get close and lean into him as I look down on the creek. His sweet words are like warmth spreading down my body. I turn to look at him, placing a hand on his cheek, I pull him into a deep, heavy kiss.
We dance our tongues around each other's mouths, enjoying the taste of the others mouth. Getting a bit hot and bothered, I can't help but glide a hand down his chest, then when I reach the hem, I slide it under his shirt, enjoying the feel of his hard muscles under my hand.
Cam has both if his hands planted firmly on my hips. He pulls me to him hard, grinding his growing member against me. Shifting one of his hand down and around, he firmly grasps my butt.
We continue like this long enough to grow breathless. Pulling away, Cam says "lets head back now," his voice husky with lust.
When we reach the house, Cam quickly leads me to the bedroom, eager. Instead of going to the bed though, he brings me to the bathroom. Starting the water on the tub, turning it to fairly hot, he prepares a bath. " I'll set it up the way you like it, my love. In the meantime, I'd like your clothes off."
