Jeffrey opened his eyes, the blanket covering him and the light came in from the window.
"So sleepy", thought Jeffrey.
Eventually the fight over the impulse to stay in bed lost to his daily responsibility of having to go to school. Jeffrey changed from his pajamas to casual clothes, washed his face, brushed his teeth and prepared a bowl of cereal.
Somehow his parents were already dressed. His father had a cup of coffee and helping his mom cook breakfast. Dad was cooking bacon and eggs, mom was making french toast.
"Morning Jeffrey, Did you sleep well?", Jeffrey's dad asked him.
"I slept quite well, the weekend was exhausting", Jeffrey mentioned.
"We'll if you don't mind could you go wake up your sisters and tell them to get ready for school?", Jeffrey's dad asked him.
"Oh all right", Jeffrey accepted his request.
Jeffrey headed back upstairs and knocked on his sisters room door.
"Wake up, Wake up!", he yelled.
Hearing them groaning he heard Saoirse say, "Five more minutes"
Jeffrey turned the doorknob and walked in. He shook both of them out of bed.
"Come on, get up. We're going to be late for school"
They both looked at him sleepy and grumpy.
Raine and Saoirse started to grab their school clothes and prepare their backpacks.
Jeffrey headed downstairs to prepare his back, checking to make sure he brought his homework. His lunch box was already prepared and he soon put on his shoes and was out the door.
They dropped off his sisters first and then he arrived at school early as usual. His father headed off to work carpooling with his mom.
A strong wind blew as soon as he got out the car.
"fuuu, it's cold today", thought Jeffrey.
Thankfully the band room was open and Jeffrey got to stay warm inside. Talking with a few friends and listening to the gossip, he eventually saw Samantha come in.
"Samantha", he called out to her.
"Hey Jeffrey", she said back.
"Here's a few jars of Perfume slime and Glow-in-the-dark Oobleck", Jeffrey reached into his backpack and pulled it out.
"So how many have we sold in total and what are we looking to reach?", Samantha astutely asked.
"Currently we're at about 19 or 20. For now let's try to reach 30", Jeffrey talked about the business part of the project.
"Ok, how many do I need to sell?", Samantha looked at Jeffrey.
"Let's start with 2 and tell me how it goes at lunch", Jeffrey handed 2 jars of perfume slime with The Slime Factory gear logo.
"Ok, I'll join you and Preston for lunch", Samantha agreed.
The band teacher, Mrs. Browne had everyone tune their instruments before she started practicing their songs. Steven and Gavin were given solo parts for the school Holiday concert. The class continued practicing together to sound closer to what the intermediate and advanced classes were like.
