Keefe was wandering off waiting for math class to end. He glanced at the clock. Twenty more minutes! For the past few days he was getting the urge to just travel into the book. Keefe sat there, paper airplanes soaring over his head. The teacher and class, Keefe ran to his mother's library, passing a candy store, and bumping into an old lady. He flung the library's door open, rushed to his favourite corner, and swung his backpack onto his lap. He unzipped, and threw aside his cold sandwich, and yanked his book out. He set aside his backpack, and opened the book he was reading before. He didn't care if he got sucked into the fairy world, he just wanted to read and explore. The only books he'd been reading were books that were not that fun. Keefe read for about 10 minutes and thought, maybe I won't get sucked into the book this time, but luck was on his side, and the book started to tremble, he quickly threw it away into the corner of the library.
"All I want to do is read! Why does this stupid curse thing have to exist? I'll never be able to finish the book if I keep going into the book." Keefe roared in frustration. He stomped toward the book, and picked up the book. He plumped on the coach, book in hand. He opened the book, only to find a glowing orb. A sharp, nail biting cold wind came through the library before he could throw the book. The orb of light swallowed him. And once again, Keefe was standing on a polished floor in front of seven chairs made of gold and was in the magic castle of the fairies. Keefe cursed under his breath and stood.
"Hello again, pestering child" the fairy he first met said.
"You came at the best time. Mr. Farmer's animals have been stolen by the Troll Kingdom, it is your job to get them back by the troll feast tomorrow evening, or else, the trolls will have them forever, and our cloth sources will fall. We will look weak, and may be attacked. You will take a magic mist on this journey, every time you breathe it in, you will be able to fly and have the ability to see everything. Got that? Also here is a map of all the kingdoms. Do not go out of the borders of the kingdoms. There will be creatures that even the most powerful fairies have not encountered yet."
"Why me? You can do it all by yourself,"said Keefe, he sauntered off toward the hall. The fairy fluttered after him,
"I'll give you cheese, it's one hundred years old, very tasty. I'll give you dragon scales, very powerful, always very warm. Troll toenails, they smell great. What do you want? Maybe a spell book?" Keefe coughed,
"What did you say? The third one?"
"Troll to-"
"No, I'm good. My mom solves the cheese problems, thank you very much, and I don't exactly favor troll toenails. The spell book, is that what you said?" The fairy handed him a book, he looked at the binding, it read, weapon magic. He nodded.
"Now hustle off, you have a long journey ahead of you." the fairy said. He was off on his journey.
