"Really huh? So tell me how do you speak to old people? I'm a prince, I don't have time for courtesy!".
"You should be apologizing instead of claiming to be right. You do not know who you speak with!".
"I don't care. Excuse me!". He said and walking away and climbed his horse. Before his very own eyes, the old lady turned into a young beautiful lady and spoke.
"Young prince, you have no manners .Neither do you have a heart to love and care for human kind. I am a witch from the easEast clan and from this day forward, I curse you with blindness! You will no longer be able to see until you learn to love and show care towards others. Only then will the curse be broken!". She stated and disappeared into thin air.
The prince didn't flinch or take her words seriously. He got home and met his parents. He didn't tell them about the witch's curse. The prince went to bed with his sight intact.
The next morning, the prince woke up unable to see. He became a blind man. The king and queen we're devastated by the plight of their son. The prince suddenly remembered the curse. He explained everything to his parents. How could he have done that! They had to find a solution.
The king brought different witches and magicians to break the curse but none of them could break it. The solution to the prince's ailment was in his own hands. The king gathered all the maidens of the kingdom. The maiden who accepted the prince in his blind state would help to break the curse.
Sadly, all the maidens rejected the prince except for one. Her name was Amy. "I will marry the prince in his blind state". They got wedded immediately.
Amy showed the prince so much love but the prince was a hard nut to crack! He didn't care. She tried her best but he never cared or showed concern. Amy got tired of everything and decided to leave.
The prince realised that she had done her best for him. She was always there for him. She had shown so much love to him even when he didn't deserve it. He didn't know how but he had developed so much affections for her.
The carriage was about to leave when Amy heard the prince's voice. "Don't go Amy! I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. Please don't leave me. I Love You!". He confessed to her. Amy ran to hug him.
As she hugged him, two drops of tears fell from his eyes and all of a sudden, his sight was restored.
"I can see!". He exclaimed. He looked at his beautiful wife and hugged her. "I love you Amy. Please stay with me!". "I love you too and I won't leave you!".
Everyone in the kingdom were overjoyed that the prince's eyesight was restored and from then on, the prince learned to show love and care to everyone around him especially old people. The End!!
