"My lady!, my lady!. Lady Isabella!" Dani heard a deep masculine voice filled with concern, echo inside carriage. She opened her eyes and saw a pair of faintly blue eyes looking down at her, it was the werewolf prince.
His brows creased, making her to sit up straight and when she realized that she was seated beside him this time and he was cradling her like she was some breakable egg, she quickly stood to sit where she was seated before she fell unconscious. But the prince's arms which was till circled protectively around her shoulders held her back.
She looked back at him confused and scared.
"Are you alright?" Aidan asked, he didn't want any harm to come upon this woman that was now his new family, he hated the way she flinched when he held her shoulders.
"I-I am alright,you d-don't have to worry" Dani said, she felt embarrassed with the way she stammered, she saw him sigh with both relief and what she couldn't fathom.
"Isabella!" He called her name, Dani knew that it wasn't her name but she frowned which the prince didn't notice. This was another life for her, with her having another name and identity, so she had to accept her fate.
"What's wrong with you?" He asked her with the most gentle voice Dani never imagined would come from him.
"N-Nothing, your highness" Dani said as she looked down, she was clutching on her dress, hard, that her knuckles became white from it. She didn't know how the honorifics blurted from her mouth, but she thought it was the right thing to do.
"Ella!" He called her again trying to gain her full attention. She slowly turned and looked up at him, it was now that she saw him well, his black inky hair was neatly combed backwards, and with those beautiful eyes, his perfect facial features graced her eyes that she almost forgot to breath. 'How can this man be so breathtaking' Dani thought, and only one thought ran through her mind, if only he was human and she was in her world together with him.
"I am not a monster for you to be scared of, so don't act like you hate me when I am trying my best to behave with you and don't flinch Everytime I touch you, Understand?" He said to her, staring deep into her eyes that Dani felt like a needle was just an inch before her eyeball.
"Yes your highness" She replied and he cupped her cheek with his palm, while his other hand was still on her shoulder.
Instead of flinching at his touch, she felt calmed and relaxed that she closed her eyes. Right, she had to put everything away and focus on her new life.
She heard him laugh silently, and Dani quickly opened her eyes to see his smiling face but to her dismay he wasn't and he had stopped laughing.
"You are just like a chameleon that changes it's skin color, just a while ago you were brave and then you fell unconscious because you were scared. What are you up to, uhn" He asked as he leaned in on her and stared deeply in her eyes that Dani could not even look away even if she wanted to do so.
"Listen, Isabella. You are now my wife, and I have promised to keep you save with me. I am your husband, and you should stop being scared of me like I am some monster. Vampires and Werewolves rarely make promises because they don't want to break their promises, and I did it. So stop these acts, unless you want your family under my mercy" He said with controlled anger. Of course, she was now his wife and he was her husband and she had to submit...Wait submit what!?
"I am sorry your highness" She pleaded as her heart pounded fast in her chest due to their intimate position, his face was just a few inches away from hers.
"I didn't mean to scare you, I just don't like the way you reacted" He said as he removed his hand from her and rested his back on the wall of the carriage.
"I didn't mean to annoy you, your highness" she said again.
"You can call my name without the honorifics, when we are alone" He said.
"Hm?" She asked.
"I mean you should...
"No, I heard you. I just can't remember your name when you told me..."
