A man with silver eyes looked down at the crowd of gathering that had taken place in the huge and luxurious ballroom. His eyes moved leisurely towards the people who were playing the soothing and solemn music at the corner of the room.
"Will you be making your presence known?" asked the man who took a step to stand beside him.
"Let's see" hummed the man with silver eyes,
"It would have been better to have high ranked witches, but I guess it isn't so bad. We would be dealing with that soon. Right?, Theo."
"Of course, milord." the man named Theo who had his blonde hair combed to the side replied with his head bowed.
"Milord!" came a bulky man who had a very deep red eyes, dressed in armor.
"What is it now, James."
"The princess as been found, she as been brought to the dungeon" he said with his head bowed.
"I know that already, you may leave" he said and waved his hands for the man to leave. Of course, why wouldn't he know that already, he is known to be a very powerful witch.
"You enjoy the ball?" Theodore asked and he received a chuckle in response.
"You don't call it a ball, Theodore. It's a coming together of both powerful and less powerful witch against every other races so we could rule the whole world. And..., it is just treat for everyone." said the person raising his hands to drink the wine in his hands through the thin line that barely shown on his lips.
"As you said, the vampires are quite useful, especially this one" Theodore said.
"Is it James!?" He asked, smiling.
"Yes." he bowed.
"Ah, he is totally different from the other vampires we have in our control. He's a special pawn, just like Rena" His smile faded and was replaced with a wicked grin.
"I thought you really love the lady!" Theodore asked.
"One as too love a person to make them feel loved."
"Hmm, that's right. Are you planning to go down, Heanad?" He asked.
"Go ahead, I will join in sometime."
Theodore made a bow and left the King's side going to join the merriments.
Heanad looked at the crowd from the gallery with music that echoed in the room they were in. As his silver eyes moved across the room, he saw a familiar figure standing, Rena.
Her refined features graced his eyes. Her blonde hair cascaded down her back and her silky black dress exposed her delicate shoulders which was fair and smooth.
He watched the way she smiled as she spoke with other witches, she was indeed a beauty. Just as he was about to materialize down there and snatch her away from those witches who were never going to stop asking her questions just to dance with her, he saw a masked man bow at her and offer her a dance with him.
Heanad's face turned a few shades darker as he was expecting her response. He saw her nod at the man and went to the dance floor with him.
He gripped the glass cup in his hands hard until it shattered into pieces without him even realizing.
'Who is this man that dared to dance with my woman.' Of course, every damn witches know that she is his woman and he does not joke with things that belongs to him, then who was this man.
Without hesitating, he materialized just in front of the two that were dancing, causing everyone in the ballroom to be surprised and at the same time fearful. This man could kill anyone without moving any muscle, he is the most powerful witch amongst them now.
"How dare you." Heanad roar as he grabbed Rena to stand beside him. The music stopped and all gaze were on them. It was obvious that the masked man was smiling because his mask covered only half of his face.
Heanad could not see through the man's mask with his dark magic, which was weird. He could feel the man's threatening aura even though his demeanor was calming, even the magic emitting from him felt so strong that he never imagined that someone could possess it. Who was this man?
