"I am sorry, it was because you..."
"It's okay, I get it. My name is Aidan, Aidan Thyia. So you can just call me Aidan when we are alone." He said without glancing at her.
"A-Aidan, A-Aidan, Aidan" She repeated.
"Aidan, Aidan, Aidan" She repeated again and Aidan could only sigh in frustration.
"It's not a spell for you to recite over and over again" He told her and Dani kept quiet, it's just that she found this weird names amusing.
The inside of the carriage was enveloped in silence, Dani sat still beside him while the prince also sat there while his hands rested on his knees and his head dropped down.
"I thought werewolves and vampires do not ride in carriage. You are a werewolf, right?" Dani's thought came out as a word from her mouth.
"No" He answered, causing her eyes to widen out of shock.
"A vampire?" She asked
"No, I am both. I'm a lycan" He answered and Dani's shocked expression was replaced with awe.
"L-Lycan!" She murmured
"Lycans are offsprings from a vampire and werewolf, more powerful and stronger than both creatures excluding the Xars" He said turning his face to look at her.
So this man beside he is not just a werewolf but a lycan.
"Who are the Xars?" She asked and when she saw a small smile curve on his face, she felt her face go pale.
"Xars are aged witches, stronger than the young ones. Xars are usually more than a thousand years old." He answered and she could only shook her head in disbelief.
"Is your father a werewolf?" She asked him, although she didn't even know why she was asking these questions, but she knew that she needed to know more about everything and everyone in this world.
Dani could sense him feeling a bit uneasy at her questions, so she decided not to ask him further questions, she would just find out by herself.
"Uhm, it's okay if don't want to...
"No, it's fine" He said to her.
"My father was the king of the vampires before he passed away, and my mother is the only heir the werewolf kingdom has" He said blankly.
"I'm sorry about your father" Dani said to him, she really knew how it felt to lose someone one loved dearly.
"hm" he only replied, and the inside carriage was silent again.
Dani could see the night getting deeper through the short curtains in the carriage, and she could now feel the fatigue and dizziness from the rollercoaster of emotions. She felt light headed and dizzy, when she tried to lean leftwards to sleep the carriage bounced on the rough patches of the road and she cursed inwardly.
This was the first time in Dani's entire life to ride in a carriage, cabs were even more comfortable than this, however she couldn't complain she just as to get used to it.
"Feeling sleepy?" he asked her and Dani nod her head almost very fast. And the prince stood up and sat opposite her, where she was seated before.
"You can manage to sleep there for a couple of hours before we reach home" he told her to lay on the long seat and Dani immediately complied.
She really felt weak and hungry, but she needed to take a nap first. Dani looked at the man in front of her before she dozed off.
