Chapter 14 - The Empress

She moved her hands to her neck to pull it off. But there was nothing for her to pull. She struggled trying to catch some breath but something invisible was gripping her throat harder and harder. As the invisible grip tightened it started pulling her up and knocking her onto the floor. After a few heavy jumps she finally got some peace. She kept lying on the floor, panting. She wanted to get up. But something within herself was preventing her. She was out of control of her actions again. She felt like she was waiting for someone else's commands to act on. She couldn't manage to do anything other to breathe. Sweat was pouring down her face which mixed with the blood of the pond. Then it started again. She struggled more and more, her hands wrapped around her neck. Gradually she felt the pain of something sharp piercing through her flesh. She took her hands off her neck. Her nails were long and they had already wounded her own neck. They were as long as they had been on the day the murder in the Cottage Of Barnia was done. But they weren't red like before. Instead they were grey, but yet attractive. While she kept looking at her long nails her body started transforming further more. Grey fur started growing out of her skin and soon her body was fully covered except for her eyes, mouth and nose. Her ear lobes disappeared into her skin and two wolf like ears appeared. Next, a fluffy wolf tail came out from her back causing a pain along her spine. After an intensely painful and exhausting procedure she came out looking like a descendant of that wolf man himself. She had to take off her sporty shoes as her legs could no longer fit in. She walked back towards the coffin. Then only she saw the shiny letters which were written on the inside of the opened lid.

*"The True Empress Of The Wolfs-Mane May Acquire Her Powers_~ ."

"These letters were not here when I opened this." Kett told herself. "And what's this empress thing about? Wait! Is it me? Am I the empress? What is this nonsence?"
