The Professor got up after he got through the portal and pondered the words of the Phoenix. He then called Professor Adara and then Mrs Ferg to meet him in his lab once the school lockdown was over. Once all the monsters were confirmed dead and it was safe to exit the buildings and announcement went to each dormitory, "Attention all students, the threat has been neutralised, but we ask that you stay in your dormitory until tomorrow, thank you."
Once the announcement was over Professor Adara left the Year 6 dormitory after making sure that Emily was safe and uninjured. Mrs Ferg then sent all the Year 1 students to their respective rooms to sleep after they had had dinner. She opened the portal outside the dormitory and walked through to the school building. Once through she went down the corridors towards Professor Nara's lab without making a sound or being noticed.
She had accomplished this by using a magical artifact called a Silencer that would surround it's target in a shield that wouldn't let sound in or out and she only travelled in the shadows of the corridors to not be noticed. Professor Adara didn't have to do that as she was allowed to travel the whole school as Head of the Senior Years whereas Mrs Ferg was only a Dorm master and wasn't supposed to enter the school.
Once all three individuals had gathered in Professor Nara's lab he activated all the protections around his lab to prevent intruders from getting in and from anyone overhearing their conversation. He then cast some new protections just to be safe. All three of them sat at the table that the Student Council had sat at a few hours prior.
"I need to discuss with you two what I have recently discovered thanks to the Phoenix's insight and my own battle with the monsters." The two woman sat up straighter then they were and leaned in to listen to the Professor as he was even whispering to decrease the chances of someone overhearing.
"When I was fighting the army outside the Year 1 dormitory their was an Ogre that didn't fight it's fellow monsters as we have been told they do. Instead, it fought alongside them and when I was going to kill the Ogre after trapping it the other monsters protected it." Professor Adara stood up in outrage.
"How is it that even possible! Ogres would never fight alongside another type of monster, and they would never protect an ogre. This doesn't make any sense. Are you sure it was an ogre?" Mrs Ferg looked up at the young professor.
"Sit down child. I am sure that Professor Nara has the answers to your questions, but you must let him speak first so that we understand what is going on." Mrs Ferg spoke in such a calm and soothing tone that Professor Adara was able to calm down and take here seat, "Please continue Professor Nara," Mrs Ferg said as soon as Professor Adara was calm.
"As I was saying the Ogre was protected by the other monsters. I killed them all and as soon as I was about to kill the Ogre a man in a cloaked uniform stopped me. He then opened a portal to an unknown destination and sent the ogre through after he collected all the mana in the air from the dead monsters and inserted it inside the Ogre. The Ogre started to change, it became big and looked like it would explode but it didn't. Instead, it shrunk and became smaller then it's original size. Before I could see anything else the portal closed, and the Ogre was gone."
Mrs Ferg sighed, 'If this is really what I think it was then we have a huge problem on our hands,' she thought to herself. "Let me ask you one question Professor. Did the man say anything about what was happening to the ogre before it disappeared and if he did then what did he say was happening to it?" Mrs Ferg looked directly at the Professor for answers.
"He did say something, he said that he wanted it to 'evolve naturally' but I didn't understand what he meant by that. Do you have any clue about what he meant? The Phoenix didn't tell me anything about it and didn't ask me if I knew anything about."
Mrs Ferg gave a deep sigh this time as she thought, 'Dammit this is terrible news, if the Phoenix didn't say anything then it knows too and won't let these young kids in on it.' Mrs Ferg looked at the two young Professors, "Alright I'll tell you what I know, but only what you are allowed to know and under the condition that it isn't heard by anyone else unless you are given permission." The two professors nodded for her to continue.
"What you saw Professor Nara was the Ogre transforming into the appearance of it's ancestors. Monsters used to be magical beasts, but they were tampered with by the dark arts, or they used the dark arts on themselves. And before you ask, no I will not tell you what dark arts are or where they originate from. All you need to know is that these arts affected the beasts in such a way that they deformed and became lesser versions of themselves."
The two professors were shocked at Mrs Ferg's words, "What you saw Professor Nara was the Ogre returning to it's original form that it had a millennia ago. Which in turn means that they have become powerful creatures that threaten the natural balance of the world and that we must stop these people at once."
"What do you mean the natural balance of the world. Is the world going to be destroyed or is something else going to happen to us?" The two professors said in unison. They were worried at what the consequences may be from this creature being brought into the world.
"Unfortunately, I cannot say. You see I can only guess the outcomes not know which one will come to fruition. All I can say is that balance of the world has been altered and the only way is to stop these people who are reverting the monsters back to their original power and form. Did the Phoenix say anything about these individuals, what faction they are aligned with or something like that?"
"Actually, it did. The Phoenix said that the group was known as The Seven." At those words Mrs Ferg shuddered. "Is everything alright Mrs Ferg." Professor Nara and Adara looked at the old lady. She looked extremely pale as though she had seen a ghost of the past. Professor Nara went over to examine her to see if she was alright. She pushed his hand away before could examine her.
"I never thought I would hear that name again. Are you sure those are the words the Phoenix said, and you are not mixing thing up somehow?" The Professor shook his head.
"The Phoenix was certain of it and said that the man who appeared was one of The Seven. He even identified himself as the number seven of the group." The old lady seemed to go even paler at those words.
"Then you are extremely lucky to be alive and we are in for a load of trouble."
