"You said that you were afraid that I won't be able to see anything when all is said and done right? I'm happy to report to you that now you don't have to worry about it. Not that you'd have the liberty to do so, since you'll soon be rotting in the grave!" He pounced fiercely upon me, and I jumped over, in a desperate attempt to escape his lunge.
I grabbed the railings that were readily available on each floor and swung by. But that didn't last long. The seismic impact that was caused by the giant spider barbarian crashing through the building made the railings collapse, and I was set for a free fall.
With all the chimeras below ganging up to pounce on me, I quickly had to find a way to save myself. The falling debris. It's too small for me to even jump across them and make a safe landing. Times like these are when a human brain is challenged and adrenaline is pumped up to the limit, and sometimes even beyond the limit.
Right now, I was trying to engineer a solution from a defensive point of view. A point that would save me without hurting anyone and causing a scene. And that's a fair way of thinking. Since at the end of the day I'm nothing more but just an ordinary human being who just has access to an extraordinary source of magical powers, with untapped repercussions. The power's a supernatural resource, but the heart of the user was a human.
That was a default factor wired within my head. I'll have to stop considering that prospect of not hurting them and saving myself at the same time at this point. "You ready?"
"Waiting for your command!"
"Do you think you could annihilate all of them in one go?"
"Say no more!"
I whipped out my sword, and raised it, sliding the blunt edge with my fingers, I recited one of the spells I had learned.
"With thy power bestowed within me, I shall enact thy vow, the vow of annihilation, and complete obliteration! Rise! And shine bright! IGNIS FULMEN!" With the spell activated, the sword shone brighter than the moon in the night sky, and it unleashed its true chaotic powers! Powers enough to wipe out the life of everyone within this planet in one strike! All of that within the palms of an unstable human! This wouldn't end well surely, and that day's not far away.
"Your thoughts are fluttering."
"I thought I asked you to take care of it."
"I'm nothing more than a weapon. If given the power, I could even turn my alliance against you, and I'd rather assume you would like to end me than face me, right?"
"Hmm...You do have a point."
"Right? So get on with the task at hand, and later we shall think about your life problems, alright?"
"Sure, I don't like the idea of a spirit consoling me, especially when it's not a girl."
"You are still a kid through and through. I doubt that you'd ever act like a mature guy in your life one day."
"You don't have to worry about me that much."
"Don't tell some self-deprecating joke that would make me lose my focus now, alright?!"
"Understood! Duly noted."
"Fine, now let's get back to the task at hand."
With a flash of light that illuminated the dark sky, and everything around me for a few seconds, all that remained at the end was just piles of ashes on the snowy path, when the dust settled, and everything was vividly visible again. I'm sure the world would view this as a supernatural occurrence and will do whatsoever within their power to find the origin of this luminescence light. Sadly, I couldn't generate a domain barrier yet.
And this act would just trigger the barrier place between these two worlds. This was a declaration of war from me. If anyone were to hear about what exactly happened here. But luckily, there was only one witness left, and he was standing right above me!
"Gaaaaaaghhhhh!" He let out a rage-filled roar in fury! "My men! My men!" He repeatedly shouted like a broken cassette player, repeating the same lyrics, over and over and over again. "You, what have you done?"
"You know, your face has been annoying me for a while now." I instantly moved right next to him, capturing him by surprise. SLASH! I cut the 4 eyes on the right-hand side of his face, in such a fast and precise manner that he didn't feel it for a few seconds, until the moment he shouted like a madman.
I slit his throat, and let him roll down on the floor, desperately holding out onto his breath for dear life. "Now, let's talk."
