Following her command, I just slowly drifted along holding her hand, making sure not to get lost. I wasn't thrilled to get lost in this space again. Weird noises were popping in my head. I was having some slight pain in my head. And with every passing moment in this space, it was just rising rapidly.
Slowly, I started tightening my grip. She started to sense something wrong with me. She turned towards me. "What's wrong?" I couldn't speak anymore. I suddenly let go of my hands that held hers, and hugged her tight, holding onto dear life. I could feel her ample bosom touching my chest. I wanted to apologize for suddenly embarking on her private space and just pushing over myself onto her, but I was in a desperate situation.
"Axel? Axel!"
Agh! It's happening again. I'm starting to see those memories...those visions, I'm going back there. I could still hear the faint voice of Emily. But that also faded away.
"You alright, young boy?"
"Ah, yeah! It's nothing much. Just the usual."
"That won't do! You must take care of your health."
"Ahaha! You're too concerned about me."
"Well, obliviously. A beauty like you could be mistreated in this day and age, with just one wrong step."
"Well, you don't have to worry too much about me. I can handle myself."
"You can never be too careful."
"To think a young lad would worry about me, oh my."
"I'd rather die now."
"C'mon, you can't take a joke?"
"Well, it would be a joke if it were from a normal woman. But when it's from you, it seems like a roast."
"You certainly are the cheeky type. Sadly for you, I'm already taken. But I do have a daughter."
"Nah! I'll pass. Worrying about one person is enough. I can't handle another one."
"Haha!"
Those never-ending waves of laughter. I wonder who they belong to?
"Wake up...Wake up...Antoine! Please! Talk to me!"
"You...better...run! Your daughter's wait..."
"Antoine! Antoine!"
Antoine, eh? So, that's who these memories belong to? Who was that lady? Why did her voice feel so familiar?
"Axel!"
I felt a strong shrug over my body! I think I must have latched onto her too tightly! No wonder she would hate me now. "You all right?" Contradictory to what I had imagined, she's actually concerned about me.
"Yeah, I'm alright! Nothing out of the ordinary. Sorry to invade your privacy." I tried to push myself away from her, but she refused to let go of me. "You know, your ample yet soft bosom suffocates me." This was sure to get her angry but I can't sugarcoat stuff. I was ready to take upon the wrath of her but again, for some reason, she's being quiet, and dare I say, sympathized with me. Wait, did she pity me? Or my existence itself?
She pulled me closer. My face was literally resting on her soft bosom. This definitely felt awkward, and very out of character, unlike her usual self. Anyway, the light started to enter my sight, which was clearly adjusted to the black space I was around. As we went closer, it seemed like a mountain that exited in free space with hot molten lava flowing around it.
Finally, we landed on a pavement kind of path. The path was isolated, as there was no living soul in this place. We had to walk down the path that was laid down before us. I slowly regained my composure and control, both over my brain and body. We walked for a further few hundred meters before we reached a gateway. There were two giant statues at the entrance of this grand canyon, that was past the gate that captured our view.
There were some ancient lyrics on the walls of this cavern. I rubbed my fingertips around the wall and could sense some heat from the walls.
"Careful! You might burn yourself!" I instantly pulled my hand away from the wall. "Thanks for the prior notice." There was a very subtle hint of sarcasm or lack of it. Either way, she received my criticism, or gratitude, however, she sought it.
"This place was one a cathedral. This is where the strongest of warriors fought just to gain acknowledgment from the God of war, Aries. But over time, with humans at a rate where violence was no longer the key for anything, this place was abandoned. But still, because it has a rich history, it's hard to remove its existence. So, the archmages decided to store it away in this temporal space."
She just decided to not talk about the Archmages? Oi, I'm sorry, but I want to replace my master now! She doesn't tell me anything at all. Anyway, as we walked towards the grand canyon, we saw that, at the deepest part of the canyon, there shone the brightest of light.
"C'mon, let's get going!"
"Huh?"
"What's the matter?"
"What's the matter?! How are we supposed to go there?"
"Just Jump."
"Huh?"
Wait...wait...wait! There's something wrong. Even someone like me who had given up on life suddenly feared for it. She pulled me suddenly and jumped, and I, following the laws of physics, was forced to accompany her. Surprisingly, all the fears that I had were blown away. Before I knew it, I was at the center of the source of that light.
"This is it! The Chamber of Vows!" Emily slowly started to walk around, probably inspecting the area. "Yeah, here it is!"
She pulled out a sack that roughly was around the size of her palms.
She started to pour out the sawdust that was in the pack in the form of a circle. Soon, she designed some inverse loops within it. "Step in!" She said.
I obliged her command and did as so. Suddenly, the light illuminated from within the round. A red crimson light! A mythical beast emerged from the ground within us.
WHO DARE SUMMON ME?
