"Oh..."
He did not invite his friends to play. In other words, he plays solo—you can call him Solo Player. He will get his members randomly, all over the world. I hope that he can get through that.
"Why, Mr. Daylon?"
"No, it's fine."
When choosing a hero, I watched him and his four team members, then wondered if any of the 4 people would want to choose a Tank Hero.
Andre is the role of Marksman, he said that earlier. He will need the protection of his members, as long as his hero damage isn't ripe or the damage is still ticklish. He needed at least until quite a while, letting him search for gold to buy at least 3 items; shoe items, and 2 attack items. He needs protection, so I hope one of them picks the Tank role.
Well, since it's Classic mode, then I'm not expecting that. To be honest, the Classic mode is the mode for selfish players, choosing the heroes they want to use instead of thinking about their team. So if Andre doesn't have Tank's protection, I'm not too surprised.
"Okay, I'll choose this... Hanabi."
"Wow..."
I was quite surprised when he chose the hero.
"What's the matter, Mr. Daylon?"
"Are you sure you chose that hero?"
"Of course. Besides, I'm good at playing this."
"Oh, I see. If you're confident, feel free to use that hero."
Not that I want to doubt that, but indeed the hero he uses is a slow hero to deal damage to enemy heroes. The hero needs at least 4 items to deal lethal damage. I mentioned "late-game hero", because it does deal damage when it has all 6 items.
"Take a look at your equipment."
"Here."
The equipment is correct. He will buy the right items, according to the hero. Of the six items, there were at least 2 items to increase attack speed, and in the equipment, it was there. Likely, he got the equipment from a recommendation.
"No problem. By the way, why did you choose that hero?"
"I just imitated what Egy chose. When he live-streamed yesterday, he used this hero. So, I watched him, looked at the items he bought, and studied his moves. He is very proficient in using this hero. Therefore, I use this hero because of his gameplay."
Egy seems to be a motivation and role model for him. Well, that's great for him. However, if I compare, Andre will not be able to follow Egy's way of playing. He will find it difficult to follow Egy's way of playing. Egy knows far better position and distance to attack, while for a beginner like Andre, I doubt that he can follow that.
But, because I was the coach, I had to teach him. I must not doubt and worsen his abilities. I have to be a great teacher for him.
"Have you ever used that hero before?"
"Of course. However, because this hero is a late-game hero, and many people don't like it because it takes too long to damage the enemy, I rarely use this hero."
He knows that the hero he uses is a late-game hero, a hero who will give possession when already has 4 items. He realized that, and he seemed convinced that he was capable of using the hero, Hanabi.
"Good."
I subconsciously smiled and stroked his hair. My hand reflexively stroked his hair; maybe because he realized the shortcomings of the hero.
"Why are you holding my hair, Mr. Daylon?"
"Well, it's a compliment that you realize what the hero lacks. One weakness can be fatal if you don't realize it. But since you've realized the weakness of the hero, I'm sure you can handle it. So, this is my compliment to you."
Yeah, I have to commend him as a coach for that effort.
After a while, I was surprised when one person used the Tank role.
"Oh… that person wants to use a Tank. You're lucky, Andre, someone will take care of you later."
"Yeah..."
Andre's team has; one Tank role, one Assassin role—which will likely focus on securing the jungle—one Fighter role, and one Mage role. Of the four roles, Andre is in charge of giving Damage Per Second, DPS, and that will make him the core of his team. However, it's a pity that the damage from the hero he uses will be scorching when he already has 4 items, which provide Physical Attack, True Damage, Attack Speed, Movement Speed... and Physical Lifesteal skills for the hero, Hanabi.
In one match, it usually takes a maximum of 1 hour and a minimum of 15 minutes, so during that time, Andre will try to deal damage to his opponents until his hero items have been purchased. Andre won't be able to attack his opponents before he gets his items; by collecting Gold that can be obtained from killing monsters or others. That way, the task of a Tank is needed to keep Andre.
But, since Andre is a solo player, who gets teams randomly and it's impossible to find good cooperation, if he is often killed by his opponents, I can still understand that and tell him not to give up.
No matter what, I have to stay calm and teach him properly and well.
"Wow..."
Not even 5 seconds when his smartphone screen showed his opponents, Andre was already surprised.
"Why?"
"Cheating… this is cheating."
"Cheating? Why?"
"Look at this!"
He showed me the smartphone screen.
I don't understand what he means. There is no cheating on his opponents, and still within reasonable limits in my opinion. Well, even though the opposing team has heroes with quality skins.
"Is it because they use good skins?" ask me.
"No, that's not it."
"So what?"
"Look at this nickname!" He pointed right at the player who had the nickname Ojan. "You know him, don't you?"
"Not."
I don't know him, but I know that the player with the nickname Ojan is the Top 3 Greater Jakarta of the hero used, right below his nickname.
"This is cheating."
"I told you, cheating why?"
"Ojan is a TikTok artist. He often uploads his gameplay videos with his friends while playing. He also has a YouTube channel, and occasionally likes to live stream on Facebook and YouTube. He is very good, many even know him. But why... why am I fighting him in this Classic Mode? He is Glory tier, while I am Gold tier, but how come they met? This is cheating… so cheating."
"Um… is his team his friends?"
"Yeah, such a possibility. He's always playing stuff with his friends, very rarely solo."
"Oh, I see."
Compared to him, who was a solo player and found teams randomly, Ojan was probably more advantageous. If Andre is right, who says that his enemy team plays together, then his enemy team can work together better than his team. Therefore, that might be the reason why he said that this was cheating.
"He must be live steam right now."
Andre quickly turned on his television, opened YouTube, looked at Ojan's channel, and saw that he did meet in this match.
"Ah... it turns out that he is my opponent."
He is lethargic, like a withered flower.
Of course, I as the teacher would be angry about this.
I took the remote he was holding, then turned off the television, and threw the remote away.
"Are you giving up? Did I teach you to give up? I am not your teacher to teach you such pessimism. I'm here to train you to be a professional player. So, Andre, if you're that pessimistic, you better delete the game from your smartphone!"
"..."
"Whoever you fight, you have to accept that. You will not be able to become a professional player if you are pessimistic like this. Being a professional player is not easy, you are capable, you are great, it's not like that. Becoming a professional player takes effort, hard work, and a calm mind. So, therefore, if you give up so easily like this, you will never become a professional player. Remember it well!"
I'm too much when I'm angry. I still can't control my emotions, even though I've changed. My words might hurt his feelings. He's still 13 years old, but I instead gave him pretty harsh words. Oh, I'm so bad.
"Sorry..."
"You want to be like Egy, don't you?"
"Yeah, I want to be like him, to be the greatest Marksman."
"Do! Do it today! Show that you can! Do it! Show that you can use a hero like Egy. Don't worry, as long as I'm still here, I'll teach you! Take it easy, believe in yourself! You can do that! Do not give up!"
"Yes, I will."
"Well, good."
As a form of compliment, I stroked his hair again.
I seem to like his silver hair too much, so it keeps my hands stroking his hair.
"Then now… you prove that you can!"
The match started.
