(A Few Hours Later)
"Phew, finally back home all safe and sound," said my father as we arrived right in front of our undamaged home because there are many traps and protection I have laid all around the house since last month.
"Whew, it seems like our house is perfectly fine," said my mother as we got out of the car to see that our house didn't get damaged by the rifts.
"Good thing that there were those people who protected us from the monsters, I wonder who they are," said my father as we went towards the door with Shiro tailing behind me while gripping my hand with a tight squeeze.
"Aw, Shiro, everything is already fine, we're all safe, there's no need to be scared anymore," I said with a chuckle while ruffling his hair as he took me into a tight hug with our parents chuckling at our interaction.
"Sniff, I was so scared back there nii-chan," said Shiro as I felt his tears rubbing against my shirt.
"There there, let's get inside first, you can talk to me in your room," I said while I let out a grunt and carried him on my back and walked inside the house and towards his room so I can comfort him.
"Sniff, I thought I was going to lose you and papa and mama, I was shaking back then," said Shiro as I put him down on his bed but he still hugged me and cried his eyes out while I just chuckled and patted his head.
"Sigh, who would have expected those rifts would appear, there there, you can cry all you want," I said while Shiro cried on my body with me comforting him for a few minutes straight with our parents leaving us alone because they know Shiro is closer to me than them.
(A Few Minutes Later)
"I- I'm fine n- now nii-chan," said Shiro as he wiped off his face with my shirt which I just chuckled at.
"Mmm, are you sure you're fine now?" I asked Shiro as he nodded with a smile and red puffy eyes.
"Well you should take a rest for now, and I need a shower," I said with a smile as he cheekily looked at my snot-ridden shirt.
"Sorry nii-chan!" said Shiro as I just patted his head and got out of his room and towards my room to grab a shower and went downstairs.
"Is Shiro fine now? He was crying for a few hours already" said my mother who was watching the TV along with my father.
"Yeah, he was crying his eyes out… on my shirt," I said with a wry smile while showing them my disgusting shirt.
"Well at least he's fine now, go take a shower already, didn't you at Hope Academy was riddled with rifts a few hours ago?" asked my father.
"Yeah, but me and my new friends help the other students, I even healed many of my fellow students," I said with a smile.
"Good good! My son is a real hero now! Did you take any pictures with Hope?" asked my father.
"Oh yeah, this was us in the academy after we went back," I said while giving them my phone and showing them the picture of us standing there covered in blood with Hope behind the four of us.
"Uoohhh! Did you get an autograph?" said my father with stars in his eyes.
"Yeah, I already got your favorite book signed which you lend me a week ago," I said with a smile and showed him the picture of the book.
"Oh my god!!!!" said my father with his exaggerated Engrishu accent coming out.
"What about your mother!" said my mother in shock.
"I also got your book signed," I said while showing her another picture as she gasped in shock.
"OH MY GOODNESS!" said my mother with the same Engrishu accent as she stood up in shock.
"The books are inside my bag in my room, you guys can get them yourselves, I need a shower right now," I said with a chuckle and walked towards the bathroom while I saw my parents rushing towards my room to get their books they lend me a week ago which I have specifically done to get them the autographs, I'm such a good son, I thought with a smug smile and entered the bathroom while humming a song.
As I took off my clothes and felt the water droplets hitting my face, I started to think about how my actions would change the future.
From my estimates, the world would be in chaos right now and many would have died due to the rifts while the government desperately went to stabilize the whole continent-sized country of Spes.
But due to my organization, I would gain the trust of the government which is still ways off from making them my undead but I would slowly make the country mine as my agency becomes the source of protection from the rifts and monsters, I would also lead the development of monster related objects and tech with my team already getting results from the hunted monsters as we found something quite interesting that would perhaps grant as a fortune.
But that's for the future, I still have to announce my Hunter Agency to the world and its goal, origin, and how I can gain the trust of the world.
As I finished my short shower, I walked out of the bathroom with a towel on my waist and back to my room with a yawn.
"Any minute now" I muttered while I walked back downstairs and sat down on the sofa with Shiro also there scrolling through his phone as our family of 4 were all in the living room.
While we watched the news with interest about the recent events that happened all around the world, the news reporter said something that got all of our attention hooked.
"Even though many tragedies have occurred, all of them were luckily taken care of by a certain organization that suddenly appeared all over Spes, taking care of the rifts, hunting down the monsters, rebuilding the broken infrastructure, the mysterious Hunter Agency. We have luckily gotten in contact with them and they will now announce their existence to the world!" said the news reporter as the screen changed that showed a person with short black hair, black eyes that demands respect, wearing a black suit, he appears to be the person in charge of Hunter Agency.
"… Hello, let me first introduce myself, you can call me… Hikaru Nakayama. I know many people are questioning me and my agency and I will explain it all in the following so I must ask for your patience" said the man as my family watched with bated breaths.
"First of all, what is the Hunter Agency? It wasn't supposed to be for hunting monsters in the first place, instead, it is an agency I made myself to recruit heroes willing to… let's say, hunt. I recruited people who were a bit unfortunate and helped them at the expense of giving their services to me, each and every one of them has been professionally trained for combat, support, and logistics to do their previous original goal but times have changed" said Hikaru as a video appeared beside him that showed monsters rampaging around cities.
"After seeing the monsters appear all around, I knew that my agency could help, and help we did. I made my men go all around the continent to hunt down the monsters and saved the civilians. But I know you are asking more questions like where did our funds come from? Well we're not only a hunter agency, but I'm also the owner of a certain company called Blessed Inc, a hundred billion dollar company, yes, I'm the owner of that company" said Hikaru as my parents gasped in response.
"And now, what would be our future actions? We plan to be a full-on Hunter Agency as rifts are appearing all around the world as we speak it right now, we plan to team up with the government and Hope Academy to gain talented Hunters to take care of the rifts around the country, and later we would want to team up with other countries. Gone were the days when the main foe are villains, an otherworldly threat has appeared called Rifts that are now rampaging all around the world! We must work together to bring peace to the land!" said Hikaru with a passionate voice.
"But there must be an incentive right? Well, we plan to change our agency to accommodate the rapidly changing world, we will pay you with money if you give us the dead corpse of the monsters you hunt and we are already making the quality to value ratio right now, and later on, we would also set the price of this! A crystal inside the dead corpses of monsters!" shouted the man as a blue crystal appeared in his hand.
"With this, we found that it could become a source of energy that could rival those of the strongest energy sources in the world! Not only that, but it seems to also hold many secrets and we plan to better our understanding of them. We are also willing to buy skill books, so any one of you who are willing to join us can earn money at a ridiculous rate, but!" said Hikaru as he looked at the camera with serious eyes.
"We need the approval of the government, so are you willing to allow us to continue our activities?" said the person as another video suddenly played on the screen.
"Yes, we are willing to join hands with your Agency, we are even willing to let Hope Academy change so that they could become professional hunters but they must get better treatment and better gear," said the president of Spes.
"Thank you mister president, and for Hope Academy, we will decide on that later, they are still kids and we don't want to put minors into unnecessary danger. More data will be given later so please wait for the oncoming news later" said Hikaru as the news reporter came back.
"… Aki, if that does happen, you must take care of yourself and don't let yourself go in harm's way," said my father who looked at me with serious eyes.
"I… I will" I said with a smile as we continued to watch the TV with chaotic thoughts.
