Everyone in the room quickly took out their quills but Erik had another surprise for them: there was a black liquid in a clear glass tank and underneath a plastic tube. Erik pressed the button and the liquid flowed into the tube for 2 seconds and it stopped.
"Tom, would you grab that small black tube with the metal tip from over there?" asked Erik.
Tom quickly walked over and picked it up and asked what to do with it now. Erik told him to use it on the paper and watch what happens.
Tom quickly tried to write on the paper and the words magically appeared on the paper without using a quill and he didn't have to dip it back into the ink for it to be used again. Everyone's jaw dropped and they all silently made a vow to follow Erik into this new world of Chemicals and what he called Technology.
Erik had given them a rundown of technology which was if it wasn't there before but someone came up with an idea for it and created it that was considered technology from swords, boats and even water wells it was all a form of technology. Also, if it made certain jobs easier such as farming and hunting through the use of tools that was also technology. In a sense making jobs more efficient through ideas was called Productivity which increased yield and decreased manpower through the use of technology.
Now, this is called a pen. It is far superior to the quill and ink method that has been used for an extended period of time. The liquid is also ink but it uses a different method from the ink currently used worldwide. This ink is mixed with dyes and acids that allow it to dry a lot faster than current ink. The casing around it makes it lighter and easier to transport around without needing an exceptional amount of ink bottle.
These pens also have enough of the ink solution in them to last months at a time reducing the overall cost of ink. Lastly, One word of advice: do not keep these pens in your pockets because they will basically explode leaving your pocket staining unable to be repaired.
"Thank you your majesty we will work hard to master this craft and to not disappoint you." said Tom.
As Erik was leaving VIKCI screamed in his ear {THE BEAR CLAN HAS MOBILIZED SPIES TOWARDS THE EMPIRE OF THE PHOENIX AND SHOULD ARRIVE TWO WEEKS AFTER THE WOLF CLAN}
Erik internally sighed as he had to deal with more ruffians from these Viking clans but that was still over five months away so he still had time to prepare for them. His only focus now was getting the farmers to start using crop rotation to ensure that the soil didn't become barren and create a food crisis among his people.
Now, he was headed over to the Farming District and met with two of the head farmers Birna and Lif. They were surprised that he was there but Erik, who had no time for pleasantries, began to tell them about crop rotations, his future plans for the Farming District, and also what to plant and where.
"So you are saying that after planting a certain crop like corn that drains a lot of nutrients out of the ground we should plant beans next because they return some of those nutrients to the ground?" asked Birna.
"Yes that is correct and I would like you to do this with each field, for example let's say you have three fields plant corn on field A and beans on field B while leaving field C empty and between field A and B." responded Erik.
Finally Erik day was over and he decided that for the next few days he would take off and rest because if he overworked himself his brain would probably burn out and he wouldn't be able to think logically so he headed home.
Erik woke up early and decided to go over his stats, his mission progress, skills and what he could create.
First, was his stats:
Name: Erik

Strength: 341
Speed: 201

Ok VICKI show me my mission progress" said Erik.
{Right Away Sir}
Side Mission #1: Create a better way to warm houses during the winter.}
{Reward: system points} IN PROGRESS
{Side Mission #2: Create basic machinery that assist in construction}
{Reward: a random skill} COMPLETED READY TO CLAIM
[Side Mission #3: Teach Sigurd and his apprentices how to make the cure for Reaper}
{Reward: Knowledge on Basic Medicine Practices and On How to Synthesize Medicine.} COMPLETED
{Side Mission #4: Open a Military Academy and Train your men how to be soldiers}
{Reward: System will Provide Advanced Military Tactics.} IN PROGRESS
{Deadline: No Deadline Set for These Side Missions}
(VICKI I would like to claim the random skills for side mission No.2)
{Randomizing Skills, Selecting Skill at Random. Skill Acquired. Acquired skill is Leadership.}
{Leadership skill is a passive skill increases productivity of those in under the skill holders influence. For example the wall would be completed in about ten months with Leadership the time to build is reduced by 80% now leaving 2 months left before the wall is complete.
This skill seems extremely broken and doesn't put a fatigue on him or the workers and to the workers and everyone around it seems that time is passing by normally but it is actually sped up.
(Lastly VICKI what are some weapons I can create)
{You can currently create produce the M9, M4 and the Model 870 as far as firearms. You can produce flashbangs, smoke grenades and M67 lethal grenade. Lastly, you can produce titanium knives.}
Erik didn't have a lot to work with but he did have some information on how to create a few more guns due to him being in the military before he became an author back on Earth. So he started planning on the miners getting the sulfur and saltpeter from the mines and have the Blacksmithing Industry start on making wood stoves which shouldn't take them more than a few days thanks to the Leadership skill and that would produce the charcoal he would need for gunpowder. He would then have the people deliver the charcoal in front of the Building Industry and those from the Building Industry would deliver all the items to the back of the Chemical Industry.
From, there the Chemical Industry would be able to start mass producing a mixture of 75 percent saltpeter, 15 percent charcoal and 10 percent sulfur. After making it Erik would just have them stockpile it in their warehouse under all safety precautions used on Earth for weapon storing. That was his plan now all he had to do was write it down and discuss it with the leaders of the Industries participating.
