Chapter 11
King Colan stood at his window in his room watching servants scurrying around and the guards standing in their position at alert.
He smiled as he looked around.
He was happy to see everything working fine in his rule.
Years ago Adrielle wasn't flourishing as it was now. The O'colan were travelers and on one of their journey they stumbled on a desert, and found out they were lost and couldn't find their way home so they made the desert their home, and with the help of the Druids who had travelled along with them, they made the desert a dwelling place.
Days after Days, Weeks after Weeks, Months after Months, Years after Years The ancestors got accustomed to the place and worked towards making it a better place for their Children and Children to come.
When O'colan became King he worked so hard with druids to remove the last atom of infertility in the land which he had done successfully.
'At last everything is working out well' he thought sighing.
At that moment a thought had struck him and sadness began to loom over his happiness, he had remembered how Alina had left the Royal Court, he remembered seeing how sad she was and felt so confused.
He had no idea that marrying her off would take a huge toll on her.
He felt so helpless at the thought of Alina hating him.
"What do I do to fix this?"
"What about the Custom?" he said asking no one in particular.
"You can forgo the Custom, you know"
Colan eyes opened wide in surprise on hearing the voice he had so much wanted to listen to,he turned to face who it was.
"Axin"
" Colan"
"What brought you here?" he asked
"Alina My friend, She's so devastated "
"Colan I only came here to give you a piece of advice, I hope you take it"
" What's that?" Colan asked, willing to take any advice his friend Axin has for him.
"Make your daughter happy" Axin Said.
"The future of this kingdom depends on her, and she depends on your decision"
" But What about the Custom and the…."
"Make your daughter happy Colan and you won't regret it" Axin interrupted Colan.
King Colan nodded.
He watched as Axin disappeared into thin air.
A smile appeared on his face as he had an idea.
He would try his possible best to prevent her from getting married unwillingly.
He knew at that moment he only had to do one thing which was to make his daughter happy, the safety of the kingdom depended on her and She his decision.
