Alina rode on her horse feeling distressed, she Had no idea how on earth her father would want to force her to marry someone she doesn't know and a relative to that witch.
She had already made up her mind a long time ago and had decided to not give up.
She wouldn't get married to Duran's son, she wouldn't even get married to anyone, she would rather leave the palace and be a commoner and start a new life than go get married against her will.
She rode her horse Vigorously wanting to get to her destination before nightfall.
As she rode on, she got closer to Darkwood.
She swallowed hard.
She had never been to this Place alone before, she had always gone there with her father and his entourage mostly when they do go for hunting.
As she got into Darkwood she lessened her pace and rode slowly so she wouldn't attract the creatures lurking around the forest. She heard strange noises around her, she placed her hand on the hilt of her wooden sword as she rode on while her other hands was on the reign, ready to attack any vile animal that comes her way.
' Can I really defend myself with this?' she thought as she rode on.
She hoped to see the hut soon as she had been riding for her hours, she barely remembered what the hut looked like but still she kept riding.
"God please direct me" She prayed silently as she rode on.
She kept on riding and soon she got tired, she had already started doubting she was on the right path when she saw a small clearing . She rode towards the clearing and then she sighted the small hut which stood there alone.
She heaved a sigh of relief on sighting the lonely hut and wondered what anyone would ne doing alone in a place like this.
She felt so glad to have reached her destination.
" At last" she said
Alina dismounted from her horse and walked towards a tree beside the hut holding the reign, she quickly tied the reign around the tree and then tugged at the reign to make sure her horse was secured.
She hoped the creatures in darkwood doesn't eat it up.
She walked towards the hut and could sense a different energy around the hut.
As she got closer to the hut,she noticed the hut was a strange one with no doorkdoorand no windows. She raised her hand to knock on the door when the door opened, sending a gust of strange energy to her body.
She felt a chill run down her spine as she walked in.
She swallowed hard, she had no Idea of she was doing the right thing and was beginning to think of going back but then she summoned up courage and walked into the dark hut, squinting her eyes as she tried to adjust to the darkness in the hut.
The room was dimly lit as there was no window ,just a small candle placed on the floor.
"Anyone here?" she asked, her voice echoing around the room.
The door closed behind her and she turned around on alert a little bit startled.
"Axin?"
She swallowed hard in fear.
She turned around in fear not knowing what else to do, she had rode here to see her master but now she began to think she was at the wrong place and now with the door closed there was no way she was going to come out.
"I don't want to end my life her" she said silently as she turned around vigilantly.
Different thoughts came to her mind as she turned around.
' What if I won't be able to leave her'
'Who knows something dangerous Might be in here with me wanting to attack at the right time' she thought.
She placed her hand on her hilt preparing to attack anything that comes to attack her.
" I will rather die fighting than succumb to fear" she said aloud to the darkness.
" Don't worry no one will hurt you" She heard someone say and smiled on recognizing the voice.
She wasn't at the wrong place after all.
"Axin!"
"What brings you here my princess" he asked.
She turned around and saw Axin, his aura matching with the energy in the room. He wore crimson robe and his long hair graced his head down to his back.
" You do know what I am here master Axin, don't you?" she asked.
" 'Course I do Alina, but it's better you tell me your reason for being here" he said
'why do I really need to tell him why I am here when he already knows' she thought.
" Okay" she said.
" It's father…..he wants me to get married to someone I know not and I don't want to get married yet"
" What I want is to be a good knight Axin, besides you said I was learning fast. ...I don'twant to lose the dream of becoming a good knight" She said.
"Tell me Axin, in your visions do I get married to him?"
" What do you see?" she asked.
" What I see is not meant for me to say Alina, it's better to be oblivious about the future than to have full knowledge of the future."
"Having full knowledge of the future might push you to changing fate which might make things go wrong" he said.
"But Axin....."
" I know you so much want to know everything as you are being pressured but somethings are better left unknown" he interrupted.
" How come only you can see into the future?" she asked
"I ain't the only one who see things, most times people see visions through dreams or it can just flash through their thing, but Humans in general are ignorant of things that go on around them so they don't take note of the things around them"
" Like the dream you had the other night, was shown to you cos you are meant to know about It, but since you had no idea what it's about you had completely forgotten about it" he continued.
Alina stood still in a daze on hearing what he had said.
' Would that dream really come to pass' she asked inwardly.
"You were shown because someday that vision will become reality and there's nothing you will be able to do to stop it except...." Axin stopped.
" No, something should be done...you should be….."
"It's time to go little one" Axin said interrupting her.
" Axin you should be able to...."
Alina stopped talking as blue lights emanated from Axin's hand, she felt dizzy and could feel her eyes were becoming heavy.
Her body felt weightless and she fell flat on the floor, she could feel her eyes closing slowly but tried keeping it open.
She tried all she could to stay up but soon she gave in to axin power and she closed her eyes.
"Quite tough" Axin said.
