Chapter 1 - The Birth of the Great Dragon

Hunyuan Heaven - Wanzu Region

The Hunyuan Heaven in the Tianyuan Heaven was commonly known as the first line of defence against the elusive Sacred Race which threatened the existence of humans. The reason it was titled as such was that it was the heaven with some of the most powerful Cultivators of all time.

The Wan family were no exception to this.

The Wan family were descendants of the Supreme Sovereign Wan Zu, which the region they resided in was named after. Their family had become incredibly influential and important after he had become a double lotus saint.

"Father!"

Wan Qinlong, the daughter of the head of the family was a beautiful-looking girl. Many people had tried to court her in the past, but she had denied all of them. So when she was confirmed to be pregnant nine months ago, she and the rest of the family had been shocked, as far as they were all concerned she was still a virgin. The Wan family, undertsandably, with their high status, were embarrassed by having a bastard child and had tried to rid her of the child, but no matter what, nothing worked. Not even Qi manipulation from a Law Domain Expert had worked. It was an unerasable embarrassment for the head of the family and father of Wan Qinlong, Wan Zao.

Unfortunately for Qinglong, in a certain manner of speaking, it was a terrible day. It was the day of the baby's birth - the bastard's birth.

She had called to her father earlier to announce her water had broken and was now a crying mess, riddled with pain from delivering the boy.

"Don't worry, after this bastard is born, we will dispose of him."

Wan Zao, was the current head of the Wanzu region sitting in the Second Stage of the Law Domain Realm. Thanks to Wan Zu, talent was not absent in their bloodline, so of course, Wan Zao would be near the peaks of Cultivation. He, just like like any family head who wished to erase a mistake, was ready to dispose of the bastard who dared invade his purest daughter's body, hence their current location. They were in an empty forest on the outskirts of the Wanzu region in which they resided.

No one would find them, and no one would know.

They had long covered up the embarrassment, and would no longer allow it to see even the smallest amount of light.

As the head of the baby was slowly pushed out - the very same baby that had caused so much trouble - Wan Zao couldn't help but think he seemed rather... boring. Sure he looked gorgeous, but there was nothing special about him except for the fact he had other earthly beauty. For an infant that had caused trouble for even a Law Domain Expert, they were expecting something a lot more... powerful?

In all honesty, they didn't know what to expect. He was still a powerless baby after all.

These thoughts continued until his tiny and frail body had come fully out. As soon as the umbilical cord was severed, and he had become his own being, an earth rumbling shaking erupted, followed by an explosive roar. A roar strong enough to burst eardrums. A roar grand enough to shake even Wan Zao's very spirit.

There were stories of similar events occurring when the Sacred Dragon blessing was bestowed upon an infant at birth, but they had not seen such a dragon, nor did such an earth-shaking and powerful roar seem typical at all. The blessing that the boy was about to receive could only be speculated to be something much greater.

A faint wisp of Ancestral Dragon Qi flowed around the room before an explosion occurred above the property. Profound golden Qi sailed around the house at high speed forming into a dragon nearly as big as the forest they were hiding in.

As the Genesis Qi seemingly became a solid form of matter, the scales began to glitter and exude an authority unseen before by Wan Zao. Even when facing a Saint, their authority paled in comparison. He had never felt so compelled before.

Wan Zao's eyes widened as he felt the amount of power the dragon radiated. The Genesis Qi that encircled its body was also of unbelievable magnitutde. It swamped the house like a waterfall - covering the outside of the house. It was powerful and grand - a form of Genesis Qi that was only found in the Guyuan Heaven, and something only the Ancestral Dragon could create.

It came crashing down on the house but didn't damage anything. It was bound to the boy in Zao's hands'. Only when the Genesis Qi disappeared did they feel something extraordinary from the boy. He felt like pure Ancestral Dragon Qi, though not quite.

The amount of work they had put into trying to get rid of the boy without any questions was ridiculous. Wan Zao a few moments ago would have killed him without a second thought. But this opportunity was far too grand. The normal Sacred Dragon Blessing basically guaranteed someone to reach the Law Domain Stage, and possibly the Saint Stage if one was tenacious enough - he could only imagine what this new Blessing would do.

He couldn't pass this up. Even if his daughter hated him for it.

"Qinlong, you felt that, didn't you?"

She nodded at him with narrowed eyes - of course, she had felt it, she had even watched Wan Zao bathe in the Qi. It made her nervous.

"How could I not? Though, Father, I would like to know the relevance."

"You should already know the relevance. This is an opportunity beyond even me. Wan Zu should be well aware of what has transpired. If we were to kill this boy I would surely be punished."

Her narrowed eyes were only becoming less visible as her eyelids constrained her vision. These narrowed eyes were quickly becoming a glare. Of course, she knew where this was going. Wan Zao was not someone to miss out on such an opportunity - he probably wouldn't have hit the Law Domain Stage if he was the kind of person to let them pass up.

"So what are you going to do?"

"I think we'll keep him."

At this, Qinlong blanched, she wanted nothing more than to murder the boy she had just birthed, special or not. It disgusted her that he could even think about keeping him, let alone actually doing it.

"We'll call him... Wan Julong. Thoughts?"

She growled at Zao.

"But Father, that thing caused me such trouble over the past 9 months and is merely a bastard to our Wan family. Surely you are not truly going to let it live? You can't let it live, not just because he had some shitty spectacle when he was born!"

"Silence!

"This Wan Julong is the future of our house, whether you like it, or not. As long as I am around, I will not allow you to harm this child."

She shook her head with a scowl, "Just you wait until he finds out about today. I'm sure he'll love his grandfather."

Wan Zao shot her a glare, as the pressure of his Law Domain shook the room. She was not in any place to argue as a Divine-Dwelling Expert.

"Then I'll make sure he doesn't."

Though she couldn't do anything to him, she still was not happy. Opting to remain quiet she did the one thing she could do, just glare at the baby with murderous intent. Zao saw this, and gave her the stink eye, before leaving the room with the newly named Wan Julong in his hands.

From these events alone, it was pretty clear to see what kind of people the Wan family were.

Sure the egg of Qinglong was pure enough to call forward such a grand blessing, but the one who had produced it was one of the most rotten in turn.

How ironic.

Wan Zao, who was now fondly holding the crying baby boy was smiling wickedly. He could not even begin to perceive the sheer amount of potential the boy he was holding had inside of him. It was only a matter of time before his corroding family gained superiority once more.

He would make sure Wan Julong's name would ring through the nine heavens.
