Chapter 42 - Chapter XXXVI

It was a late, rainy night, casting a somber atmosphere over Kurmara's room. With Kamie away, she found herself lost in her own thoughts, reminiscing about their recent conversation. "I'm going to be home in like two days because my boss wants to transfer me. Don't worry though, I'll be back before you know it!" Kamie's carefree voice echoed in her mind, leaving Kurmara feeling a mix of longing and loneliness. Letting out a frustrated groan, she buried her face in her pillows before eventually sitting up and gazing at the ceiling with a heavy sigh. Feeling restless, Kurmara decided to leave her room and make her way to the kitchen, seeking solace in a drink, whether it was tea or something from Kamie's liquor stash, Kurmara didn't care. As she rummaged through the cabinets, the sound of raindrops hitting the window pane filled the otherwise silent house. Suddenly, she heard a faint noise coming from the living room, causing her to freeze and listen intently. But as quickly as it had come, the noise vanished, leaving Kurmara with nothing but the sound of rain as her companion.

Letting out another sigh, she turned on the water warmer, opting for a cup of tea to calm her nerves. Just as she stood there, waiting for the water to heat up, a series of knocks echoed through the front door.

Curiosity piqued, she peered around the corner, trying to decipher the source of the sound. The knocking persisted, drawing her closer to the door. With a mix of apprehension and intrigue, she unlocked and opened the door, only to be confronted by an unexpected visitor. Her eyes widened in surprise as she looked up at him, rain dripping from his hair. "What the hell? Why are you here late at night?" Kurmara blurted out, unable to contain her astonishment. He remained silent, his gaze fixed on her, his expression unreadable. "Ugh, and it's raining.. come in before you get sick." Kurmara voiced as she stepped aside, expecting him not to move but to her surprise, he complied and stepped through the doorway. Kurmara closed and locked the door behind him, the significance of their encounter slowly sinking in. Walking down the hallway, she retrieved a towel for him, her heart racing with every step. It had been weeks since they last saw each other, after everything that had transpired between them.

"Here, dry yourself before you get sick." She told him as she handed him the towel. Kurmara then made her way to the kitchen, where she prepared two cups of tea, the warmth and aroma filling the air. Setting one cup in front of him, she took a seat beside him, the room enveloped in a silence that spoke volumes, their unspoken words carried away by the rain outside. Kurmara let out a heavy sigh, placing her cup down on the table. "Bakugou," she began, her voice tinged with frustration, "I need you to explain a few things to me." He glanced at her, his expression guarded and unyielding. Silence lingered between them, stretching the tension in the room. "One thing I want to know is why you avoided me the way you did," Kurmara continued, her eyes searching his face for answers. "Especially after we... uh..." "Kissed," he interjected, his voice firm but laced with underlying emotion. Kurmara nodded, acknowledging the shared memory. "Yeah. I want to know why you did that," she pressed, her tone tinged with a mix of hurt and curiosity.

"I think it's kind of rude instead of talking about what happened." Bakugou let out an exasperated sigh, leaning back in his chair. "Because, what is there to talk about?" he retorted, a hint of defensiveness in his voice. "You did something stupid during our patrol that got you hurt. After I found you, we kissed, and then I made sure you got taken care of. That's it." Kurmara scoffed, disbelief evident on her face. "That's it? What about the part where you avoided me, and we didn't see each other for weeks?" she shot back, her frustration mounting. He leaned his head back, meeting her gaze with a mix of weariness and guardedness. "They had me working at different times," he explained, his voice sounding strained. "Bullshit," Kurmara retorted, her eyes narrowing in suspicion. Without warning, Bakugou shot back with a snarky remark, a jibe that struck a nerve. In a moment of impulse, Kurmara's hand shot out, delivering a sharp smack across his cheek, the sound echoing in the room.

"Fuck you," she muttered, her voice laced with frustration and hurt. Bakugou's eyes widened in surprise, his cheek stinging from the impact. He met Kurmara's gaze, a flicker of anger crossing his face as they locked eyes, his gaze daring her to strike him again. In a surge of defiance, he stood up, towering over her as the air crackled with tension, their confrontation reaching a boiling point. Unspoken words hung heavy in the air, the unaddressed emotions simmering beneath the surface. "I'm sick of these fucking games with you, Katsuki," Kurmara declared, her voice trembling with a blend of frustration and vulnerability. "I'd rather you be fucking honest with me instead of feeding me some bullshit excuses." Bakugou's voice grew louder, his frustration bubbling to the surface. "They're not excuses!" he snapped back. Kurmara's gaze hardened, her voice filled with raw emotion. "Then what are they, Katsuki?" she challenged, her words cutting through the air. "Why can't you just tell me what's really going on? Why avoid me?"

Kurmara's challenging question hung in the air, the room thick with tension. Bakugou remained silent, his gaze fixed on Kurmara, his expression a mix of frustration and inner turmoil. Seconds stretched into an eternity as Kurmara waited for a response that didn't come. The weight of his unspoken words only fueled her growing impatience. Finally, with a heavy sigh, Bakugou broke the silence. "You wouldn't understand, damn it," he muttered, his voice tinged with a blend of anger and vulnerability. Kurmara's brows furrowed, her eyes searching his face for answers. "Try me," she challenged, her voice softer now, edged with genuine concern. He hesitated, a war of conflicting emotions waging behind his eyes. The turmoil within him was evident, the struggles he grappled with threatening to consume him. "I... It's complicated," Bakugou muttered, his voice filled with a mix of frustration and resignation. "There are things I can't easily put into words."

Kurmara reached out, her hand resting gently on Bakugou's arm, her touch a gesture of understanding and support. "I'm here, Katsuki," she whispered, her voice filled with empathy. Kurmara's comforting words lingered in the air, the room heavy with unspoken emotions. Bakugou's gaze softened as he looked at her, a flicker of vulnerability returning to his eyes. The softness that had once defined their connection began to resurface. Unable to resist the magnetic pull between them, Bakugou closed the distance, stepping closer to Kurmara. In a surge of passion and longing, his lips crashed against hers, igniting a fire that burned hotter than ever before. The room fell into stunned silence as they stood there, locked in the intensity of the unexpected kiss. Time seemed to freeze, the outside world fading into insignificance. As the rain continued its relentless symphony outside, Kurmara and Bakugou found themselves engulfed in a tempest of desire within the confines of the room.

Unable to resist the magnetic pull between them, Bakugou closed the distance, his eyes smoldering with raw intensity as he captured Kurmara's lips in a fervent kiss. The taste of her, the feel of her against him, ignited a primal fire within him that threatened to consume them both. Kurmara moaned softly against his lips, her fingers tangling in his hair as she pulled him closer, craving more of his touch. Sensing her desperation, Bakugou responded with equal fervor, his hands roaming her body with an urgency that left her breathless. With each touch, each caress, the tension between them escalated, pushing them further into the depths of desire. "Oh, Katsuki," Kurmara gasped, her voice a breathless plea as his lips trailed along her jawline, igniting sparks of electricity along her skin. His name fell from her lips like a prayer, a testament to the overwhelming need that consumed her. "Fuck," Bakugou groaned, his voice husky with desire as he deepened the kiss, his lips trailing along her jawline.

"You drive me crazy, Kurmara." Bakugou's touch was electric, sending shivers down Kurmara's spine as he explored every inch of her body with a reverence that made her heart race. With a swift motion, he lifted her onto the edge of the nearby table, the cool surface contrasting with the heat of their bodies. The room fell into stunned silence as they stood there, lost in the intensity of their unexpected kiss. Time seemed to stand still as their lips moved in perfect sync, their shared history and unspoken desires fueling the flames of their passion. "God, you're beautiful," he murmured, his voice thick with desire as he trailed kisses along her neck, his hands finding their way to the hem of her shirt. Kurmara arched into his touch, aching for more as he teased her with feather-light caresses. "Please," she begged, her voice a breathless whisper, "don't stop." Bakugou growled low in his throat, his restraint slipping as he gave in to the primal urge that consumed them both.

With a swift motion, he rid them of their remaining barriers, leaving them bare and vulnerable to each other's touch. Their bodies melded together in a feverish embrace, the heat of their desire driving them to the brink of madness. Bakugou's lips trailed scorching kisses along Kurmara's skin, leaving a trail of fire in their wake. "Fuck," he muttered, his voice rough with desire as he hovered above her, his gaze burning with intensity. "I need you, Kurmara. Now." She nodded, her own need matching his as she welcomed him into her embrace. With a shared gasp, their bodies joined in a passionate union, the intensity of their connection leaving them both breathless. As Bakugou moved above her, their movements synchronized in a dance of ecstasy, Kurmara lost herself in the sensations that washed over her. Every thrust sent waves of pleasure coursing through her veins, igniting a fire that consumed them both. Feeling her nails rake down his back, Bakugou groaned in pleasure and a hint of pain, the sensation only fueling his desire further.

With a primal growl, he pressed his body against hers, his hardness pressing against her core as he claimed her lips in a searing kiss. "Fuck," he muttered, his voice thick with desire as he buried his face in the crook of her neck, his hands gripping her hips with a possessiveness that sent shivers down her spine. "You drive me insane, Kurmara." She arched into his touch, her breath hitching as he rocked against her, the friction sending waves of pleasure coursing through her veins. With each thrust, he went harder, deeper, pushing her closer to the edge of bliss. "More," she begged, her voice a desperate plea as she matched his rhythm, her nails digging into his skin as she urged him on. "Don't stop, Katsuki, please." His response was a primal growl, his movements becoming more frantic as he gave in to the overwhelming need that consumed them both. With each thrust, he pushed her closer to the brink, his name falling from her lips in a chorus of moans and gasps.

"Fuck," he groaned, his voice rough with desire as he felt her tighten around him, her walls clenching in ecstasy. "You feel so good." Their moans mingled with the symphony of rain outside, adding an extra layer of intensity to their shared ecstasy. Sensations washed over them like a tidal wave, overwhelming their senses and blurring the lines between pleasure and pain. Kurmara's nails dug deeper into Bakugou's skin, leaving trails of red in their wake as she clung to him, her moans growing louder with each passing second. Bakugou's movements became more frantic, his control slipping as he surrendered to the primal need that consumed him. With a primal growl, he pressed his lips against hers in a fervent kiss, his tongue exploring every inch of her mouth with a hunger that matched her own. Their bodies moved in perfect synchrony, the rhythm of their lovemaking echoing the pounding of their hearts as they reached the pinnacle of their shared ecstasy.

With one final thrust, Bakugou buried himself deep within her, their cries of release mingling with the symphony of rain outside. For a moment, time stood still as they basked in the afterglow of their passion, their bodies entwined in a tangle of limbs and sweaty skin. Kurmara's chest rose and fell in rhythm with Bakugou's, her fingers tracing lazy patterns along his back as they savored the warmth of each other's embrace. In the hazy aftermath of their lovemaking, Kurmara and Bakugou found solace in the quiet intimacy they shared, their breaths mingling in the air as they lay tangled together in the dimly lit room. Outside, the rain continued its relentless dance, a soothing lullaby that echoed the rhythm of their hearts. Wrapped in each other's arms, they found a sense of peace that had eluded them for so long, their bodies still humming with the residual energy of their passion. In that moment, there was no past, no future, only the sweet, intoxicating present they had created together.

As they lay there, lost in the warmth of their shared embrace, Kurmara and Bakugou knew that they had found something truly special in each other, something worth fighting for.
