Theo woke up on a bright and early morning, the first day of school. As he made his way to the academy, he thought of how his last "First day of school" went. Surprisingly, Theo laughed at the thought.
Theo arrived at the open front gates of the academy with Leon. Crowds of students that were different in many ways had already started to gather and enter the school. It looked like a normal high school except for all of the mythical creatures and all.
Theo walked inside the school with a bright smile on his face. On his wristwatch (The Wrist Holograph will now be called Wrist Watch.) he could see all of his classes. His first-class was of course homeroom. This is where Theo would learn the basics of combat, magic, and mana based.
From here, he could choose different electives in things that he liked to do like blacksmith, adventurer, alchemist, and many more. He arrived to his homeroom class. It was quite large and spacious. It looked like a college lecture hall back on earth.
Theo and Leon were one of the first ones present in the class. They went up to the top floor and sat down on one of the desks. After a little while, students started to gather in and the classroom filled up quickly. Loud chatter could be heard coming from everywhere in the room.
Suddenly, all of the chatter stopped. It was again, Glis Silandra. A high royal. In the hierarchy of Anaviotis academy, your mana potential and social status placed you higher in terms of the hierarchy. Glis Silandra had a red mana potential along with the second-highest royalty status behind the royal family of the region.
Glis walked up to the top floor and sat down on one of the seats. Everyone on that floor moved down one. They knew the reputation of the Silandra family. Theo looked over to Leon who this time, didn't seem to mind disobeying Gils's orders.
Glis looked over to Theo and Leon who were at the other side of the classroom. Theo bumped shoulders with Leon. "Hey man, why aren't you saying for us to move down a seat? I thought you didn't want to problems with the royal family." Said Theo.
"When did I ever say that? Last time, I only told you to sit so that you could get out of trouble, I don't care about getting myself In trouble, I don't ever bow down to royals." Leon said.
Theo was confused however. "Wait, weren't you sitting down as well?" Theo questioned Leon. Leon stared at the wall comedically before answering. "I was already seated... if I was standing up at that moment, I wouldn't have sat down." Leon said as he pulled out some peanuts from his bag and started to eat them.
Theo was flabbergasted. He shook his head in confusion before looking back to Glis who now was staring down at the board. Confused, Theo decided to stop thinking about all of that. As he did, the teacher walked in.
"Jan Carter is the name, remember it well." A man said as he walked into the classroom and in front of everyone. He was a tall but slender man that wore an all-black suit and had slicked back black hair. He spoke in a low and slow tone. "For the first day of school, I won't be doing much teaching... you will simply listen to my rules and move on to your next class." He said as he began to say some basic rules of his classroom.
Jan wasn't a very interesting fellow, as the class ended, Jan left the classroom and so did all of the other students. Every enhancer's second class was the combat class. This was the one that Theo was especially excited about. He had been thinking of it all class while trying not to fall asleep because of the boredom.
He didn't know why but even the thought of fighting ignited a fire in his heart, an utmost desire to fight, to be on the battlefield, and to feel the excitement of the battle. Every time he thought of it, a raging fire burned in his heart as it started to beat faster and faster. He had never felt like this before but ever since he was transmigrated into this world, this thirst for battle grew along with his neverending thirst for power.
As he walked through the halls talking to Leon on their way to combat class, Theo saw what he had been dreading. A kid was getting pushed up against some lockers in the hallway by an average-looking bully.
It instantly reminded him of his past days. There was still a slight bit of fear left in him, but as he remembered those days of despair, he also remembered his vow. He wasn't going to let anyone walk over him. As for other people, however, they could do what they wanted. Theo had already built a small reputation around the school for what he did in the entrance exams.
Some people even had given him a nickname. It was the opposite of god, the Devil.
Theo and Leon arrived at their combat classes. It was a large gymnasium. Around 40 students had gathered. There were multiple small rings that looked like boxing rings around the gymnasium and one larger in the middle.
As the students gathered up, Theo's second teacher of the day could be seen walking in.
A legend. That's the first impression he gave off just by his appearance alone. A 6 foot 7 old man with muscles popping out of his clothing and a bald head. He had a long white beard, and multiple slashes and scars all over his body, including one over his right eye.
Although his multiple slashes, he still had a bright smile on his face. "Hello! I will be your teacher for this class." He said as he went in front of all of the students. He explained some basic things. His name was Greek Harlock. For the first day of school, he wanted to get everyone sparring at least once.
"But before everyone starts to spar, I want you all to know that the most important thing in the battle for an enhancer is his weapon. For today, you will all choose your weapons, unless you already have a good one that suits you." He said, looking at Leon for the last bit.
Theo hadn't really thought of a weapon, but now that he was, he thought that he wanted something that could help him in any situation. Something that was versatile. Greek took all of the students down to the weapons hall. It was quite a place. It looked like a large library except the books were weapons plastered all over the walls.
All of the students were let off to look for their own weapons. Theo walked around a little bit before getting a close look at a staff.
[Weapon class: Basic
Weapon: Staff of elegance. Allowed one to perform magic better.]
There wasn't really a big description, probably because Theo hadn't leveled up too high yet. Although it was a fine choice for some, Theo couldn't learn magic, so it was quite useless. He looked at other weapons and scanned them all, trying to find one that suited his demands.
Finally, he saw something that caught his eye.
[Weapon Class: Basic
Weapon: Rod of the Sun. A powerful rod that can be used in close combat. Can shrink down to the size of a hairpin. ]
'This, this would be good for close and long combat since I can shrink it as well. It would also be pretty handy carrying it around. I think I'll choose this one.' Theo thought to himself as he picked up an iron rod that had a carved dragon flowing all throughout it.
'What!?' Theo was quite shocked. He had heard of this ability from Leon. Whenever an enhancer chose a weapon, they would be able to evolve their melee skill to a weapon skill that boosted their power.
Quite happy with his decision, Theo went back to the Gym where Leon was waiting for the students. It seemed he was the first one to arrive. Greek saw Theo and was quite confused seeing him with no weapon.
"Where's your weapon kid? Did ya forget to choose one?" Said Greek.
Theo didn't say a word, he simply pulled a small hairpin looking thing from behind his ear and it immediately grew into a metal rod. Greek looked at the rod and paused for a little bit as if he was in thought before bursting out laughing.
"Hahaha! So you chose that one eh? A fine choice, fine indeed." He said as he continued to pick his teeth with a toothpick. After a little while, all of the students had returned from the weapons hall. "Now that everyone's done choosing their weapon, it's time for you to spar!" Said Greek.
Greek then called out two names to be the first ones to spar. "First up, Hughes and Theo!" Greek yelled out.
