"Oh ho ho what do we have here? Another green out like broad daylight." Hank, one of the blue mana potentialed students said as he walked over to Theo and Leon. "It seems he has a bodyguard with him though." Zak, the other one said.
Leon put his hand on the hilt of his sword. Before he could move, he noticed that Theo had already appeared behind Hank and Zak. 'Streak Step' Theo thought to himself as he dashed behind the two blue cores. "Shock Rod" he said as he pulled out his rod and slammed it into one of the boys.
Zak went flying and hit the side of the store. He was instantly knocked out. It was so much easier than Theo had expected it to be, almost too easy. Jan saw this and immediately turned around. That's when he felt a slash on his back. Leon had drawn his sword.
Out of nowhere, Zak got up again. "Wow, your stronger than I thought." He said. Zak was putting his hand over where the rod had hit him. A green glow was coming out of his hand. Theo instantly knew what this was.
That was healing magic, meaning this conjurer would conjure more than one type of magic. He was more advanced than many new magic users, this was going to be a difficult fight.
The constant speed in his healing was quite concerning. Hank quickly ran over to Zak and got healed to full hp as well. Theo had spammed his skills a little bit because he had forgotten just how bad his stamina was in the real world. He only had one more shock rod in him.
Thinking of his horrible stamina, Theo imagined that Zak's stamina or mana must also be depleting quickly. Theo thought of a way to defeat their opponents. He looked over to Leon, signaling with his eyes for Leon to come over to him.
After quickly discussing their plan, they both nodded in agreement. "What are you dorks mumbling over there!?" Said Hank. Immediately, Leon ran towards Zak and Hank, as they were distracted by Leon, Theo ran behind Hank and kicked him in the back. Hank turned around. "You little-" Hank was interrupted by Leon's slash. Hank started to become extremely flustered. Leon then went after Zak as Theo started to pressure Hank with his rod. Slowly, Hank and Zak were getting separated.
"Shit" Said Hank as he looked over towards Zak struggling against Leon. "Pay attention to what's in front of you!" Theo said as he jabbed the rod in Hank's stomach. "Aghh!" Hank exclaimed as he held held his stomach. "You green core, don't underestimate me!!" Hank said as he used one of his hands to cast a spell.
Suddenly, multiple stone bullets came at Theo. He easily dodged and defended the bullets, they weren't accurate at all. Hank still had a slash on his back from Leon and had sustained a hit straight to his stomach.
He couldn't concentrate enough to perform spells now, he had to use melee combat. Hank pulled out a small dagger from his shirt and ran towards Theo with a hand on his stomach. To Theo, this looked like a desperate attempt of a pitiful animal trying to survive.
Theo jumped forward and slammed his rod on the top of Hank's head, knocking him out cold. He then looked over to Leon, who almost seemed to have finished his battle. The two of them gave themselves an air fist bump before Theo looked at the unconscious body of Hank.
Theo then proceeded to transfer all of Hank's credits over to himself. The wristwatch now showed; <60 rans added> Theo was quite happy with the results, they must have stolen from a lot of sorry losers to get this money, but Theo wasn't just going to waste it by giving it back to them, who knows when they might lose it again.
Theo went over to Zak who wasn't unconscious but was bloody and beaten on the floor. As Leon took his credits, Zak cried in pain. "Arrrgh! Stop! Don't take this money! We need it to pay off Harold! Stop it!" Zak said as his precious credits were stolen. In the end, Theo and Leon decided to not buy anything, instead, they had found a pretty surefire way to make some money. After their little squabble, they decided to head back to their rooms as they had enough fun for the day.
The next day started with a normal schedule, Leon and Theo arrived to their first class like normal. This day however, they were to choose their electives. After Jan explained some more class rules, it was time for the students to pick their electives.
At the front of the class was a table with multiple papers. Each paper representing a different elective. You were to sign your name on the two electives that you so chose. The electives consisted of; Adventurer class, Alchemist class, Blacksmith class.
This was a difficult decision for Theo. Each class had its importance, with the adventurer class, you could go out to different caves and dungeons, fighting beasts upon beasts, getting mana cores and many other valuable resources. With alchemist, you could make different elixirs and pills that would be able to boost your power and make you much stronger. With blacksmith, you could create various weapons and armor that would strengthen you greatly.
They were all amazing choices, but because Theo could only choose two of them, he chose the Adventurer and Blacksmithing classes. The adventurer class was a no brainer, being able to see different creature and be able to fight was a big advantage. The real tough choice was between alchemist and blacksmith. Although alchemist was promising, blacksmith lined up perfectly with adventurer. With the materials and mana cores you would get from the monsters and beast drops, you could create amazing armor.
However, Theo still didn't want to give up on the idea of alchemist just yet. Although he couldn't learn it now, later on in the future he would definitely pursue alchemy as well. It was a helpful thing, and Theo believed in the master of all trades instead of master of one or jack of all.
After choosing his elective, Theo looked over to what Leon sheets that Leon had signed. It was adventuring and alchemy. Looking around the papers, almost no one choose blacksmithing. It looked like only about 4 people in class choose the blacksmithing class. Theo started to get slightly worried about why no one had chosen blacksmithing, but he decided to just forget about it for now.
Leon and Theo split parts as they were going to different classes. On his way to blacksmithing class, Theo noticed that some people talking about it in the halls, even some teachers were mumbling some things.
"Did you hear who the teacher of blacksmithing class was this year!?" A boy said.
"Yeah I know, apparently he's the most charming and handsome man on the planet!" A girl yelled excitedly to her friend.
"Hey, don't just stuck in his trap! Apparently he's a horrible teacher that never lets anyone pass any of his classes, although he is such a big figure, he is still an impossible teacher to learn under!" Another kid scolded the girl.
A lot of talk was going on about this teacher, Theo started to get more and more worried. Finally, Theo arrived in class. The room was pretty normal sized and it had burning hot forges in the back, the heat of the forges hit Theo's face as soon as he came inside.
After sitting down and waiting a little bit, only around half of the classroom was full. Finally, the last person came walking in. A man with dark red hair, wearing nothing but tropical shorts and a tropical buttoned shirt with nothing underneath. He wore sunglasses on his face that was especially big. They looked like futuristic glasses and they covered his eyes like a sleep mask.
He looked like a complete buffoon to most people, a jokester that didn't take his job seriously. He came walking in with both hands in his pocket and stood in front of the classroom.
"Whats up yall!?" He said in an excited tone out of nowhere. "Not that type of class huh? Well whateves... names Julius yada yada you all know me anyways so there's no need to get into the specifics. This is my first time teaching blacksmithing and yes, I am an expert." He said as he walked around the room and looked at everyone closely.
It was so silent that gulps could be heard coming from nervous students. After a little bit of walking, he stopped. The student that he stopped on started to sweat excessively. "You, fat face, get out." He said at the overweight student that he had stopped on.
"W- Why me!?" He yelled out in frustration. "It's not because your fat- well, it kinda is, but that's not the main reason alright! In this class we will be doin' some stuff that takes a lot of activity. I don't expect to get that from you and I don't care about what your going to say next to get out." Julius kept the same laid back tone always as he talked.
Everyone was quite confused about what kind of blacksmithing class had a lot of activity. 'The fat kid probably choose blacksmithing because of the lack of activity...' Theo thought to himself.
Julius stopped at some other students and kicked them out with an insult on how they looked. It was brutal for everyone in the class to watch as kids held back their tears and left the class room, but Julius didn't seem to care.
After walking a little bit more, he arrived to Theo and stopped.
