A few hours later, Jayce used the cube to return to his bedroom. He was covered in sweat, making his clothes stick to his body.
'I need to take a shower.' Jayce thought as he sniffed himself, which he quickly regretted.
After he finished cleaning himself up in the bathroom, he left his dorm to the Academy.
As he made his way to the medical room, he was thinking about how much he should tell Ms. Moore. He wasn't planning to tell her the full truth, just an altered version of it.
Deciding on what to tell her, Jayce opened the door to the nurse's office. Just like before, Ms. Moore was doing paperwork at her desk.
"Take a seat." Ms. Moore said as she pointed to a chair in front of her desk.
Jayce closed the door behind him before sitting down. He looked over at the hospital beds but the girl he saved yesterday wasn't there.
"Where's the girl?" Jayce asked with a neutral expression.
"She's fine. Now tell me what happened for you to come in here with a girl in your arms and covered in blood." Ms. Moore stated while looking Jayce straight in the eyes.
Jayce started telling her what happened while changing a few small details. Such as what part of town he was in and how the three perpetrators had fleed when they saw him.
While he was explaining what happened, not once did he break eye contact or show signs of hesitation.
Ms. Moore was quiet as she listened to Jayce's side of the story. Even after he had finished, she remained silent.
"I believe you." She said with an aloof expression.
"I have to thank you, if it weren't for you the kid would have died." As she finished talking, a young girl walked into the nurse's office.
She was wearing a white shirt that was tucked into her red skirt that clipped at her shoulders. Her white hair had been neatly brushed and flowed down her back.
Jayce then realized that the girl was the one he had saved in the alleyway. When she saw him, her cat-like ears perked up as she ran to hug Jayce's leg.
'What's with girls latching onto me?' Jayce thought as he tried to wedge the girl off of him.
He didn't want to use too much strength since he might hurt her, which resulted in him being unable to get her off his leg.
"When she woke up, she refused to talk to me, let alone look at me. But when I mentioned that you were coming today, something ignited within her. I asked if she wanted to clean herself up before you came over." Ms. Moore said with a very small smile.
Jayce couldn't tell if she was happy for the kid or enjoyed watching him suffer. "I also need to ask you for a small favor."
"A favor?" Jayce said as he gave up on trying to take the girl off of his leg.
"Let her stay with you for a few days while I look for her family. It shouldn't take too long since her white hair is rather uncommon."
Jayce looked back down at the girl who was wrapped around his leg. He didn't want to take responsibility for her but he also didn't want to abandon her.
"Just for a few days?" Jayce asked to make sure. Getting a nod from Ms. Moore, he thought he would be able to handle her if only for a few days.
"Fine. But first, she has got to let go." Jayce said as he lifted his leg off the ground with the girl still attached.
After thirty minutes of trying to convince the girl to let go of his leg, she finally did. She was now holding his hand which was much more manageable. They walked together back to Jayce's dorm while gathering some students' attention.
Jayce was used to getting stared at and ignored them like usual. But Jayce could feel the girl squeeze his hand and hide behind him as more students gathered.
Seeing the girl shiver out of fear, Jayce turned and glared back at the students.
"You're scaring her!" Jayce yelled, making them look away and disperse.
Ever since Jayce killed Isaac in the duel, they were afraid of him and they didn't want to be on his bad if they could help it.
Arriving back at his dorm room, the girl was finally able to relax. Although she wasn't shivering anymore, she wouldn't let go of Jayce.
"You can let go. I'm not going anywhere." Jayce said as he tried to let go of her. Like before she refused to let go of his hand. "What's your name?"
"A-A-Ashley." The girl mumbled while she was looking at the ground.
"My name's Jayce." He said as he thought it would help her let go; however, it did nothing as Ashley kept an iron grip on his hand.
Knowing there was nothing he could do, he started working out for his daily quest.
When he went to do push-ups, she sat on his back, when he did sit-ups she sat on his shoes, when he began doing squats she sat on his shoulders.

Jayce put the two stat points into his strength and dexterity putting him back at two percent Synchro.
Even while making dinner she wouldn't let go of his hand, Jayce was starting to worry about what would if she didn't have constant physical contact with him.
It was getting late as Jayce lay in his bed, Ashley fast asleep while latching onto him. He couldn't fall asleep so he just lay there, staring at the ceiling.
Ever since he became a demon, he didn't need to sleep as much as before.
"No..please stop...Mom!" Ashley cried out in her sleep. Jayce reached over and grabbed her hand which seemed to calm her down.
'She must be dreaming about yesterday.' Jayce said inwardly as he thought about the alleyway.
It was still fresh in his mind and with his current Intelligence stat, he could remember every detail. He thought about the tattoo which only made him angry.
'After she gets back to her family, I'm going to destroy them!' Jayce thought as he raised his hand in the hair and clenched it into a fist.
As he steeled his conviction, a notification appeared in front of him.
