"I finally caught you, fucker. Now die!" Luis said excitedly as he pulled out more daggers from his suit.
'Shit!' Jayce thought inwardly as he watched the three remaining gangsters surround him.
Before he could get a chance to pull out the dagger in his foot, more daggers were launched at him. Simultaneously, the three thugs attack from the back and the sides.
Seeing the attacks coming toward him, Jayce raised his hands toward the sides of his body.
Grabbing both weapons with his gauntlets, his arms bulged as he lifted them and swung them in front of him. Their bodies smacked together as the daggers pierced their backs.

"Argh!" Jayce screamed as he felt something pierce through the bottom left side of his stomach.
[-93 HP]
[Arterial bleeding detected. The host will lose 10% HP every 20 seconds.]
[Life-threatening injury detected. The system recommends the Host use Synchro immediately.]
Jayce shunned the messages as he turned his head and glared at the perpetrator behind him.
Fear crept through the gangster's body as he let go of the sword and took a few steps back. Sweat ran down his forehead as he stared into Jayce's eyes.
"Please don't ki-" Before he could finish his sentence, Jayce's hand had already pierced his chest.

Blood spurted out Jayce's foot as he quickly pivoted on it, using the corpse that his hand was in, he blocked the daggers heading his way.
[-10 HP]
'How many daggers does this bastard have?' Jayce said inwardly as he gripped the blade of the shortsword. Gritting his teeth, he pulled the sword out of his back.
"Ugh," Jayce grunted as the sword clattered on the floor.
[Arterial bleeding has worsened. The host will lose 15% HP every 10 seconds.]
Quickly pulling out a potion from his inventory, he used the corpse to block Luis's line of sight as he drank the red liquid.
[+30 HP]
Even if the system didn't tell him, he could feel his wounds healing at a rapid pace. After a couple of seconds, the wound in his stomach had stopped bleeding.
[Arterial bleeding cured]
"I don't know how this brat is still alive, but the second he goes to take the dagger out of his foot he's dead.' Luis thought to himself as he grabbed the last of his daggers.
Not wanting to make this go on any longer, Jayce held the corpse tight as he bent his knees. As he launched himself toward Luis.
"Wha-" Contrary to his thoughts, Jayce didn't even try to take the dagger out of his foot but instead ripped the floorboard.
Taken off guard, Luis didn't have enough time to react as Jayce chucked the corpse at him. The corpse slammed into him, sending him flying into the wall behind him.
Pulling the dagger out of his arm and foot and holding them in his hand, Jayce took out another potion from his inventory and drank it.
The rest of the wounds covering his body were sealed shut as he walked over to Luis.
[+30 HP]
Gripping his hand, Jayce lifted Luis as he stabbed one of the daggers into the hand, nailing him to the wall.
"Aahhhh!" Jayce ignored the man's cries as he nailed his other hand to the wall in the same fashion.
"What kind of barrier did you set up around the smithy?"
"Go to hell!" Luis screamed, Jayce was unbothered by his response as he walked over and picked up a knife off the floor. Fiddling with the dagger, he glanced over at Luis with a smirk on his face.
"I was hoping you would say that."

"Sorry, but the Headmaster is currently not seeing anyone at the moment."
"But I need to speak to him now!" Oliver yelled as he slammed his hands on the receptionist's table.
"If you would like, you can leave a message or wait until he is done with his business." The receptionist responded in a cheery voice, completely unfazed by his aggressive behavior.
Taking a few seconds to think about his decision, Oliver took a deep breath to calm himself down.
"Please notify him to contact me as soon as possible, tell him it's urgent." Closing the door behind him, he sighed as he looked up at the ceiling.
'It's the worst possible timing for him to be gone now. If he was here, he could reduce the casualties from both sides, but I can't wait on him or we'll lose our chance at rounding them all up at once.'
Feeling a tap on his shoulder, Oliver was snapped out of his thoughts.
"How did it go?" Yuko asked although she could tell by the look on his face that it didn't go as planned.
"We'll have to proceed without the Headmaster's help," Oliver responded as he began to make his way down the hall. "Has there been any update from our informant?"
"As of now, no. But we have found out that the mole is within the guard unit and we have narrowed it down to a handful of them." Yuko responded as she read the information off of the tablet she was holding.
"Good, the mole needs to be found at the latest tomorrow for the plan to be uninterrupted."
Just as he was about to open the door to the Student Council room, Yuko gripped a small piece of his shirt.
"You wouldn't happen to know where Jayce is, would you? I stopped by his dorm room but he wasn't there." Her cheeks turned red as she looked to the side.
"Sorry, but I haven't seen him since this morning."
"Oh, sorry for asking." She replied with obvious disappointment in her voice.
"I'm sure he's fine." Oliver smiled as he rubbed the top of her head.

"Please...kill...me," Luis mumbled as tears ran from his lifeless eyes. All of his fingers and toes had been cleanly cut off and cuts had been made all over his body.
It was clear that he had gone through lots of pain, not even counting the multiple fractured and broken bones in different parts of his body.
"Not yet." Yanking his mouth open, Jayce popped open a potion and forced its contents down his throat.
The cuts and bruises around Luis's body healed at a rapid rate as Jayce readied himself to cut him again.
At first, Luis wasn't very cooperative, anytime Jayce asked him a question, he would just curse Jayce out.
So, one by one, he removed each of Luis's fingers. Then, he moved on to breaking his ribs, arms, and legs.
Anything that would cause immense amounts of pain but not fatally wounding him.
Inspecting his stats, Jayce knew when Luis was close to dying to which he would then feed him a health potion before restarting the process all over again.
He had just used his last healing flask, but in his mind, it was well worth it.
Right before the knife made contact with Luis's skin, his hand suddenly came to a halt. Jayce turned around and he saw a dwarf holding his arm.
"Kid, ya need to stop."
The dwarf said with a voice filled with pity and worry. Hearing the constant screaming, the dwarf peeked his head out from the forge.
As he looked around the room, he couldn't help but be surprised as he saw all the gangsters lying on the floor.
He knew that Jayce was somewhat strong but not strong enough to take on a group of armed thugs by himself.
But his amazement stopped when he noticed one of the thugs pinned against the wall. He was screaming as Jayce sliced into his stomach, blood flowing out of the wound.
Bile raised up his throat as he witnessed Jayce continuing to torture the thug.
All the while he was carving up Luis, he had a smile on his face, almost as if he was entranced by the act of carving someone.
If he didn't stop Jayce now, he knew that he would regret it later on.
"Think about the gal." Hearing those words, Jayce finally remembered why he had come to the smithy in the first place.
"Fine, I've gotten enough information anyways," Jayce said as he stabbed the dagger straight into Luis's head.

Yanking the dagger from the thug's skull, Jayce walked over and finished off any of the gangsters he had knocked out during the fight.
He didn't want the Exterminators to know about him just yet and he couldn't let all of the experience points go to waste.
