"How much longer do we need to wait?" Evan complained while spinning a dagger between his fingers.
The two of them had been waiting for over thirty minutes and it was getting on his nerves.
He and Reagan used to run the gang until a few months ago when she showed up, now they've been reduced to lackeys who follow her every whim.
"Just shut up and be patient, if she heard you complaining she would-" Before Reagan could finish, a seductive figure walked out from within the darkness.
"I would what?" She said cheerfully as she dragged her hand from his bulging arms to his face in an alluring manner.
But instead of getting excited, he was paralyzed with fear. Any other men would have jumped at the chance, yet Reagan knew better.
He had seen her do despicable, inhumane things that he didn't know a person was capable of.
Evan shared the same sentiment as he put his dagger into his dimensional ring and got onto his knees.
"Please forgive me. I shouldn't have questioned how long we needed to wait." Sweat poured down his face as he desperately tried to apologize.
Although his eyes were on the floor, he could feel her gaze piercing through him. It was as if she was looking at a bug, small and insignificant.
A few tense seconds passed before she finally responded to his apology.
"It's alright. You just wanted to know how long you were going to wait, an honest mistake. But if it happens again, you'll be punished, okay."
Shivers were sent down his spine thinking about the punishment he would.
"Thank you for your mercy."
"Now that's dealt with, let's start the meeting." Taking a seat, Kaia crossed her legs as she interlaced her fingers.
"Some of our members are missing and I suspect that a third party is eliminating them. Evan, be a dear and figure out who this party is."
Even though she says that they're missing, she knows that they are more than likely dead.
Three members disappeared and later it's discovered that two people died in an alleyway but the bodies can't be identified.
'This third party probably took the third one for information, but I don't have to worry about him giving information since he probably knew nothing.'
'What I'm worried about is who this party is, it's already annoying dealing with the brats from the Academy I don't need someone else messing with my plans.'
Though she was deep in thought about her next moves, it didn't show on her face.
"Now that matter is settled, this is the real reason I called for a meeting." Placing a bottle with a clear liquid onto the table, the two men looked at it with curious eyes.
"What is it?" Reagan asked as he picked up the bottle.
"Taste it"
"Um, may I know what it is-"
"I said taste it" Even though she had a gentle smile on her face, he could feel the true meaning behind that smile.
'Drink it or I'll kill you'
Having no other choice, Reagan screwed off the cap and put a drop of the mysterious liquid on his tongue.
He had expected something bad to happen but after a few moments, all he could taste was a sweet aftertaste. Kaia started clapping her hands with a delighted look.
"I'm glad that you're not dead despite drinking a deadly poison."
Reagan's muscles tensed up as he processed her words. Not a second later, he started coughing trying to get the poison out of his mouth.
His eyes became bloodshot as he covered his neck with his hands, waiting for death.
With her head resting on her hand, she watched his pathetic attempts with amusement.
"Did I forget to mention it's not lethal to humans?"
Knowing that he wasn't going to die, Reagan sighed with relief.
He was also angry that he was treated like a fool but he's learned to not express it unless he wanted to die.
"If it's not lethal, what's the point?" Evan said as he glanced at the bottle. He felt bad for Reagan as it could have been him in that situation.
Kaia shook her head in disappointment upon hearing his comment. If they weren't strong, she would have disposed of them long ago.
"I said it's not lethal to humans, but extremely deadly to Others. One drop of this will kill one within a few hours."
Reagan and Evan were filled with horror upon realizing what Kaia had made.
They knew how crazy she was but not to this extent. Both of them had created this gang just to bully Others and have some fun, that was until she came.
With her strength, charisma, and brutality she was able to rise to the top and with that power, she changed the view of Others.
They were now invaders that needed to be killed for the good of the people.
"W-what are you going to do with the poison?" Evan stuttered as he unconsciously took a step away from Kaia.
"Oh Evan, I thought it was obvious. Once I produce more, I'll throw it into the water sources across town."
Just thinking about how many Others would endure excruciating pain was arousing her beyond imagination.
Not being able to control herself she put a finger in her mouth as she fondled her chest with her other hand. But before she could go any further, she heard noises outside.
Reagan and Evan also heard the commotion as they turned toward the front door.
The sound came closer and closer until a gangster was thrown threw the front door, leaving a huge hole in the wall.
Seeing the situation outside, the blood had left both of their faces and an annoyed look appeared on Kaia's face.
Numerous guards surrounded the property with multiple gangsters either lying unconscious or fighting against the guards.
Yet that's not what worried them the most, it was the three figures making their way toward the building, completely ignoring the battles around them.
Seeing the figures' uniforms and the strips on their arms only confirmed their suspicion.
Once the students were about fifteen feet away from the structure they stopped as the one in front pulled out his longsword.
Pointing it toward the leaders, the student pushed his glasses up as he stared at them with his cold, blue eyes.
"As the president of the student council, I hereby place you all under arrest. Lay down your weapons and we will not harm you. If you fail to comply, I will have no choice but to forcefully take you in."
