LUNCH time was noisy inside the office. Jacob and Angeline were surprised when Madam Alecia arrived and greeted her only grandson, who was the majority heir of her estates.
"I'm sorry, Grandma. My wife's birthday came earlier, so I'm pretty full right now," Jacob said with a smile. And held his wife's hand on top of her thighs.
"You two can't just be locked up in your office as if no one's around."
The couple was shocked by the statement of the wealthy older woman.
"What are you saying, grandma?" Jacob asked. "We're not doing anything here in my office. Right, baby?"
"Jacob was right, Grandma. We're not doing anything at all. And me, I just want to be here so I can't hear what's going on inside the lady's head. They're mostly impolite."
With Angeline's statement, Jacob and his grandmother looked at each other.
