"Actually… I really don't know… I can only say that it's the same color of light that I could see in that place… This crystal is supposed to be to know my elemental affinity, isn't it? But that color doesn't belong to any of the elements, does it...?"
"There have only been eight elements in this world, it has been a law that has lasted millions of years until today, so it is practically impossible that there was an element of which nothing is known, but... I have no other answer at this time…" Marjorie had responded quickly, but it seemed that it was enough for Blake to convince himself that she was right. "Blake…"
"Yes?"
"An element or something strange may be part of you now, I do not have enough knowledge to answer the questions you might have regarding this, I'm sorry." An apologetic look could be seen on Marjorie's face at once that she was bowing showing that she was totally serious.
"Please stand up, master, you shouldn't bow down or apologize."
"Hehehe, I haven't heard someone call me that in a long time." Marjorie had closed her eyes for a moment to accommodate her own ideas and then she turned to Blake to express what she was feeling. "Indeed, I don't understand what is happening to you, but I will do everything in my power to discover something, I can't let my disciple stay without knowing the truth, besides... This is totally incredible, the possibility that a new element has been born and is in the presence of it is something that must be registered, my witch vein hasn't lit up like this in years, just think of the new magic and spells that will be created with him, I can't wait to be in the front row to see it!"
Blake didn't know what to say, he could only see the enthusiasm his master showed and he felt a little bad for lying to her all the time, but he really didn't want something bad to happen if the whole truth was known, he was going to try to keep it in secret as best he could, and if he was strong enough in the future, perhaps he would tell Marjorie the whole truth.
"But it's not time for that, boy, try to cast some spell."
"Um? okay." Blake didn't take too long and an orb of fire appeared in his hand without any difficulty.
"Is nothing strange happening? Do you feel any problem?"
"No, that's the same as before, there's not much difference."
"Well, that's good news, it seems that this strange element did not affect that aspect, I was afraid that you would not be able to cast different spells, but I see that I should not worry at the moment." Blake understood that his master was only worrying about him and wanted to check that everything was ok, and after a few more tests, Marjorie gave a sigh indicating that everything was in order. "I'm still surprised, this is something you really don't see every day. I still don't know if you should feel lucky."
"Why?"
"Well, we still don't know if 'this' won't cause any problems, but what worries me is that you can't actually take advantage of it, from what you said, you don't know what it is, if you wanted to use it you would have to create spells on your own that use the runes of this element to perform and that just would be something incredibly difficult to achieve... Although, now that I think about it, will there be runes that allow it to materialize?" Blake asked himself the same question at the time, and it didn't take long for his eyes to close feeling a strange sensation when he managed to focus enough.
All around him, various runes of different shapes and sizes were floating around as if they had nowhere else to go, he could see at a glance that they were very different from the ones he had seen when learning a spell and he noticed a slight gray glow as well of the same sensation that he experienced in that place, but the most surprising thing is that these runes were everywhere, it was almost like being inside a hive with bees flying all over the place, and once he finished appreciating them, he realized that his master was calling him.
"What happened?"
"I... I could feel that there are runes around me that seem related to that element."
"What?!" Then Blake explained to her what these and their characteristics looked like so that later Marjorie also closed her eyes and tried to see the same as him, but after a few seconds, she opened them with a disappointed look. "It's useless, I only feel the runes of the elements that we already know, I can't feel or see those kinds of runes you said."
"Can only I see them?"
"We could say it like this... I can't understand all this, I already thought you were a monster with only your talent, and now you go out with this thing, instead of a monster, maybe you are an anomaly in this world, boy." Blake didn't find anything with which to refute Marjorie, not even he really understood why he was going through all this, since he woke up in the town only one strange thing after another had happened to him and he felt worried about what the future held. "Don't put that face, I don't mean it in a bad way, I think you should be proud and use all this in your favor, we don't really know how far your potential... But I had another thing to ask you."
"What is it?"
"Feel the runic energy inside you and tell me if there is something different." Blake listened to what his master told him and began to feel his whole body searching for something different, but just when he did, he was greatly surprised, and without thinking, he opened his statistics to appreciate it better.

That was when he realized that both his life and runic energy had increased greatly compared to before and he was wondering if that was also the work of that strange thread.
