Chapter 53 - Day 53: One-rune wizard (III)

"I can tell by your expression that something is up." The look of surprise was not lost on Marjorie and it seemed that her suspicions were correct.

"Yes, my runic energy increased several times, moreover, it's like something has formed inside of me."

"So that's it, you never cease to amaze me, boy." Blake didn't say anything, from his master's reaction he could tell that she knew what was happening and he remained silent waiting for the explanation she was going to give. "What you feel inside you is a drop of runic essence, that is the reason why your runic energy reserves have undergone such a change, it is really difficult for an ordinary person to generate this since forming only one means something."

"What is it?"

"That you just became a One-rune wizard." Just hearing that, Blake stayed still in his seat, a few hours ago he didn't know anything about wizards and witches, and suddenly he had become one.

"Wait, how did I become a wizard, and what is that drop of essence you talk about?"

"It's what you heard, it seems that this phenomenon you suffered was enough for your runic energy to condense enough to form that drop, that is the first step of every wizard or witch to be recognized as such, this drop contains a large amount of runic energy and helps you more efficiently absorb and materialize runes from the environment, it also makes your energy reserves increase several times, this is the reason why you just became a One-rune wizard."

"Really? So it was easier than I thought... Ouch!" And as before, Blake was hit with a broom that was already very familiar to him.

"If it were that simple, everyone would be a wizard or a witch, do you think anyone is a monster like you?! A person who is just starting on the path of magic would take years to condense just one drop of essence, even decades! but you didn't even know what magic really was and you still did it, if I was someone else, I would have hanged you already for what you said." That's when Blake understood that he had done something unusual again, and after rubbing his head, he could see his master sighing for some reason. "Well, it seems that we more or less have some answers, but they are still not enough, I hope you don't tell anyone else about this, boy, you will end up getting into trouble."

"Okay, I won't tell anyone about what happened." 'Even though I didn't plan on doing it.'

"I think we can finish this whole thing for today, there have been too many surprises and I don't know if my old body can withstand anymore, of course, if you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask."

"Well..." Blake wanted to ask something related to the system since he had the opportunity, but after thinking about it for a bit, he really doubted that anyone else would go through the same thing as him, so he tried to change his question. "I thought of this before and I don't know if it's possible, is there a way to use magic to store things in a different space, like a sack, but without needing one?"

"Um, that's interesting, why do you ask, did you even see something like that?"

"No, it's just... I saw that everyone uses a bag with a space spell and I had the idea that maybe there would be a way to create your own space to store things, but maybe my idea is ridiculous."

"Don't think like that, boy... Magic is born from the craziest ideas, anything you can think of might be possible, but... If you talk about creating your own storage space, that's just something that the Five and Six-rune wizards or witches who have an affinity with the element of space would be able to achieve, but people with an affinity for space are even rarer than a Six-rune wizard or witch, the closest thing is these bags, but they are not capable of holding too many things or too big, maybe there are ancient items that have those capabilities, but they are not things that anyone could have."

'Then I must assume that it is not normal to have my own inventory.' Putting that doubt away, Blake could focus on others that he had. "And, now that I am a One-rune wizard, is there anything else I should know? Will I be able to use One-rune spells?"

"I already told you basically everything, but if you talk about the spells, you already know how to use them, the spells I gave you, even though anyone can use them, they are considered One-rune spells, of course, since you are a wizard, these spells they will be greatly enhanced, so if you feel that they are somewhat different in terms of their potency, you should not get upset." And with that last, it seemed that Blake was satisfied for now.

"Okay, I think that was all that was on my mind. Thank you for everything, master."

"Hehe, you're my disciple, you don't have to thank me." Blake felt that there were still many things he needed to learn and he still had to absorb all the knowledge he had acquired, and when he was about to say goodbye, the door of the place opened revealing someone he knew.

"Good evening, Marjorie... I see Blake is here too."

"Oh, good evening, Blaise, by the way, thanks so much for the counter, if there's anything I can do for you in the future, please don't hesitate to ask." The town chef had arrived and Blake took the opportunity to quickly thank him.

"I see you're better now. Don't worry about it, I'll just ask that if you see an announcement on the bulletin board from me, you can help me."

"Well, well, what brings you here, Blaise?" Marjorie didn't feel awkward with Blaise's presence, but she had to make sure what he was doing there.

"Collette hasn't returned to the restaurant, so I thought she was most likely here."

"You are not wrong. She is lying in the patient room, Marian gave her a potion and she ended up asleep, sorry about that."

"It's okay, you don't have to apologize, we've been through this so many times that it doesn't surprise me anymore, I'll go get her to take her away."

"Okay, maybe she'll wake up tomorrow, but if something weird happens, don't hesitate to bring her."

"I appreciate the advice... By the way, when I was coming, I saw Marian in the square, it seemed strange to see her there, did something happen?"

"Sigh... That girl, don't worry, she just threw one of her tantrums."

"I see, well see ya, thanks for taking care of Collette. By the way, that cologne smells really good, Blake." And after saying that, Blaise left the pharmacy with Collette on his back who looked like she wouldn't wake up anytime soon at the same time that Blake reconsidered not wearing cologne again.
