It's been several minutes since the fight started. All her assailants are still up and fighting.
She didn't know what they are planning. She felt that they use some sort of magic, but she didn't know what. The magic in this world is different than hers so she can only sense that they are using it, not know what it is.
Another wave of magic tries to destroy the drone and distract her so she won't be able to protect it, but her control over water is so great. She easily created a massive wall of water that blocks those attacks.
There are those who tries to sneak behind her using their stealth abilities, but they were easily repelled by her barrier. It is thanks to William always warning her whenever someone tries to sneak behind.
Still, this is bad. She is in a bind here.
She can't kill these people. It contradicts with her sworn duty. But these people are so persistent. They won't stop attacking her. She can't even do a finishing blow to knock them out. Their coordination are good that they cover each other whenever someone is going to be incapacitated.
Even those who are attacking behind her were being healed right after she blows them away.
It is frustrating. Seeing that anything she is doing to knock them is not working. As the fight goes on, she is becoming more convinced that killing them is the only way.
'No! I shouldn't think like that!' She quickly stamps down on that thought.
She is a hero. A hero's duty is to help people, even if that person doesn't deserve it. The only enemy that they must strike down are monsters or beings attuned to evil.
These people are normal humans. They might have some nefarious purposes, but they are still humans who have no hint of evil in their soul. This meant that they are not demons in disguise, just normal humans.
She can see some of them are beastmen and some seems to have pointed ears, but all of them are still part of the humanity. So she won't kill them. She can only apprehend them.
She tries changing her pattern of attack once more. This time creating a large amount of water behind her. The water turns into many tentacles and then it shoots out to them, trying to entangle these people.
But it is easily countered. Lightning fell through the sky and counters all the tentacles that she have deployed to incapacitate them.
She felt irritated by this. The mages on the back are making sure to counter every strikes that she did. They are cornering her.
"You know, you should just give up." The one leading them said.
"Shut up! I am not done yet!" She created more water on her surroundings and let it throws it on the sky.
The thrown drops of water falls on the sky, raining them with sharp drops that can cause a wound on their flesh.
"Deploy the barriers!"
The mages behind raises their staff, and then a large dome of light appears above them. The sharp drops were easily repelled by this dome, making her attack useless.
"This is just a waste of time. Don't you know, your just prolonging your loss?"
"Why are you doing this? Is it because we rejected your offer that night?"
"No. We want you."
She wanted to ask more but she was interrupted by the guy as he smirks on her way.
"It seems like this the end. He have come...!"
"What do you...!?"
She felt something dangerous approaching so she quickly created more barriers of water. Multiple domes of water were erected surrounding her.
Suddenly, something slams to her barrier, breaking one of her layers to pieces. Then multiple something smashes through, destroying all of her layers.
Feeling a sense of danger, she quickly created and compressed water on her surroundings before letting it explode, blowing the invisible assailants that are destroying her barriers.
She heard a growl and a snarl as she got a small time to rest. She looks around and see the appearance of her mysterious assailants.
These mysterious assailants are clad in reddish fur, and they are beastly in nature. Their fangs are bared as they glared at her. Some hints of flames blinking in and out in between their breathes.
There are eight of these beastly creatures that spouts flames from their breathe. They have a terrifying aura.
["What is that!? I didn't notice them!"] William exclaimed.
"You. What is the situation?" She looks on the side and see a group of people with red uniforms appearing behind the trees.
"Second Captain!" The one leading these people awhile ago saluted to him in respect.
'Second Captain?' Elio thought in wonder.
The one leading explained to him. "We have the girl in our grasp. She is just being too hard to capture."
"I see." The Second Captain nodded. "This is expected. Good job on holding her off!"
"I am honored for your praise!"
After that, the Second Captain turns to her.
"You. Come with us. If you don't comply with our demands, we will make it hard for you. We're also going to destroy your guild!"
"If you don't want that to happen, then you should obediently surrender!"
Elio bit her lips, not knowing what to do. She can see that these people seems to have control over these red furry beasts that seems to walk on their two feet.
She have faith on that guild. The Guild Leader seems mysterious, so she thinks he can handle himself just fine.
The only problem is her. She don't know how to escape from this predicament. She didn't want to kill these people so her options are limited.
["Why don't you kill them?"] William suggested.
Unlike her, William sees these people as truly hostile. He is not that averse to killing them. They are the one who decided to be hostile, and have declared their intent to destroy their guild.
If it was like that, then he won't just stand and let them do whatever they want. He will fight back.
The only bad thing here is that he have no fighting prowess, so he can only suggest things from his members.
"That's preposterous! They are people that I have sworn to protect! Killing them is the same as betraying the trust of the Heromaker!"
["I don't fucking care about what that bastard told you! You should protect yourself first before thinking about that!"] William said angrily.
He can't understand why she is being this stubborn. He didn't know how much they respect the Heromaker. For him, he is just a sorry excuse for a player to acquire characters. He didn't do anything relevant to the plot of the storyline.
"You...!?"
She felt indignant at the way he casually insulted the prophesied heavenly son, but she is stopped from arguing with him when she felt some danger.
She quickly erected more layers of barrier, though she seems to have been a little too late as her newly erected barriers were destroyed, and she felt something hitting her stomach.
She felt a shortness of breathing as she flew to the air and hit the tree on the side, making her almost lose her consciousness. She barely hears the screaming sound of her guild leader, before it was quickly squashed by the fire werewolves.
These fire werewolves are quick. They move like a bullet shot, and their strikes are capable of destroying even steel.
She tries to stand by her feet with her hands, but can only groan in pain as a foot suddenly pressed itself in her head. Her head has been planted on the ground, making her groan in pain.
Without her noticing, Simeon has already come besides her. There are some streaks of fire surrounding his body before it dissipates.
"It is futile to resist..." He said with a calm smile on his face.
Then he saw some drops of water forming on his surroundings. He smirks before slamming her head to the ground with his feet, causing the ground to crack.
"Whoops. Sorry, I don't meant to do that. Your being too defiant that I used a bit of force in there." He said with a shrug of his shoulder.
"Carry her to the guild." He turns to the people behind him and say it.
"Yes Second Captain!"
He moves out of the way, leaving the unconscious body of the girl as he walks to the one leading this group.
"What is it, Second Captain?" The guy asked.
"Look at her Guild Card. Then destroy the guild she is a part of."
"Yes, Second Captain!"
With that, Simeon leaves the area and let them do their own work. He is not worried about it because he thinks they are the strongest in that residential district.
It is easy to know where they are affiliated. They just have to look at the Guild Card of that person.
The members of the Red Wolf Guild quickly take the unconscious girl. Her face seems to be bloodied because of the faceplanting awhile ago.
Before they carry her out of this place, they check her body and look for the Guild Card. They managed to get it in her jacket's pocket.
