His smile was a little weird, and it sent fear to my bones.
"Kyran?"
He looked at me and his smile widened a little. Seeing his smiling put me at ease a little, but I was still majorly concerned.
"Yes, Audrey?"
He never replied me like that.
"You didn't quite answer my question."
He nodded, then walked to a sofa and sat, making himself comfortable.
"The average wolf lifespan...I already exhausted that. I am living on borrowed time."
He shrugged and muttered under his breath. "I am not even sure I want to live anyway."
"How can you say that?"
He looked up, intertwining his fingers into each other. I wished he was doing that on my hand, and we were talking through this. But we weren't. He looked like he was on the verge of pushing me away.
"What do you mean? What is it to you?"
I walked closer and squatted to his sitting height and placed my hand on his hand, but he suddenly retracted them.
