When Willow's ship arrived, Jia moved her stuff into the cargo hold before she bowed to her uncles one by one till she reached her dad. He helped her put on her gloves one by one before tucking a stray curl behind her ear.
He quickly put his arms around her and hugs her tight, "Take care and call me whenever you need me, Bolt."
Bolt was a nickname her father had given when she first displayed her lightning magic at the age of six.
"What if you're in the middle of an operation?"Jia mumbled into his uniform. He released her and kissed her forehead, "Nothing is more important than you."
"You're taking this awfully well." Jia mused with a smile.
Marcellus chuckled, "Don't be fooled, I'm freaking out on the inside."
Jia nodded before asking the question that had been really bothering her, "Why are you letting me go now?"
"Your aunt Willow, Uncle Elias and I had this argument a month ago and they say that I've kept you hidden from the world long enough, "Marcellus answered as he put both his hands on her shoulders and squeezed them, "I need to allow you to grow and experience life. I was so scared when your mother ...left us...that you would be a target so I did what I thought was best. I realize that I was wrong."
"And you're okay with this?"
Marcellus gave her a sad smile, "I'm your dad, I'm never going to be okay with you leaving me."
"I'll be alright," Jia stated with a sad smile."Bye, papa."
She then turned and walked into the ship where her aunt and cousin Roy were waiting patiently. Both mother and son had the same hair and eyes color. While Jia was her mother's copy, Roy was the boy version of his.
"That wasn't hard was it?"Roy asked with a smile. The door closed before the ship flew off.
Jia rolled her eyes and took a seat beside him," No dearest cousin but I will miss them."
"Are you nervous Jia?"Willow asked.
Her stormy grey eyes taking in her teenaged niece. Every day, she was looking more and more like her deceased sister-in-law.
Jia nodded,"Yeah. It's going to be my first time going somewhere without my papa."
"And your uncles," Roy added.
"I hope I can at least make some friends at school."
"Of course you will dear," Willow reassured her.
"So excited about Viola?"Roy asked.
Viola being Viola Institute was a school for girls with magical powers. It was a boarding school where girls went to learn how to control their powers and become Guardians of their kingdoms, Towns and countries. Jia felt lucky, Willow was able to get her admitted considering the fact that she lived in another country but her aunt was a miracle worker.
"Definitely, I can't wait to get there, your mama's told me so much about it that I feel like I've already gone there."
"The wonders of imagination," Roy mused. Jia smacked his hand.
"Ouch! Not to hard!"Roy pouted as he pretended to rub his hand.
"Please, that didn't hurt much, I didn't even put force, "Jia teased him and held her hand up again, "Want me to do it again?"
Roy leaned away from her,"No way, Jia."
Jia smirked and turned away only to feel him smack her hand. She gasped and turned to glare at her brunette cousin.
"That's enough you two!" Willow said with a chuckle.
The flight was about an hour long and Jia sat still going over how she was going to introduce herself. Her father agreed that she use her mother's name and title because she hadn't decided whether she was going to keep her title or give it to her other cousin sisters.
That however was a decision for another time. She was thinking if just say' Hi, I'm Jia' or 'Hello, I'm Jia, I'm from Azazel.' Either way, she really wanted to keep her life private from everyone.
When the ship finally landed, Jia stood with Willow and moved out. Roy waved inside the ship as her three bags floated behind her thanks to a levitating spell Iris taught her.
Jia's wide eyes took in the lilac building that had four pillars surrounding it.
Everywhere around her, girls moved around greeting friends or moving with their luggage into the dorms. The school was actually huge castle and a beautiful fountain in the centre of the assembly area. There seemed to be dancing water spirirts jumping in and out of the water greeting the girls. Her aunt willow said the school had gardens behind the school filled with study benches and a field for every sport the girls could play. There was even a pool! A huge library, four combat rooms and an amazing Mess Hall with all kind of food.
The dorms were of each year the girls would be in and six girls had to share. The best thing was that, they could have visitors if they wanted! That meant Roy could come and see her if he could.
They moved to the Registration desks in front of the school front doors, where a green skinned elf sat down marking off girls on a check list he had in hand.
"That's Maze, "Willow whispered to Jia, "He teaches Ancient Languages."
"Awesome," Jia gushed.
"Name?" Maze asked without looking up.
"Duchess Jia of House Norvel," Willow answered.
Maze suddenly looked up,"Oh, you're here."
"Yes she is," Willow stated. Jia felt a little awkward standing there as the Professor hummed thoughtfully.
"Very well, she is Room Four in the First Year Corridor, "Maze said as he gave her a key and ticked her name off the list.
Jia started at the key as Willow led her away from the table and towards the First Year Dorm building.
Her first official room key! How exciting! She never had a room key back at home.
After hugging her one last time, Jia marched into the place that would be her home for the next five years. It was a fairly long walk there but she loved every moment of it. It was like her own little rite of passage. She was now finally beginning her teenage life in this castle.
The courtyard that housed the First years was charming in a princess age kind of way. When she entered the building and into the courtyard, the smell of perfume and hair-spray hit her hard.
She flinched before continuing on. She never did like the smell of thick perfume. There were rooms on both side of the corridor which seem to go on and around a corner. Her aunt Willow mentioned that there were ten en suite rooms that housed six girls each.
When she reached Room Four, she pushed open the door and entered with a feeling of joy.
Inside there was a small living room with two black couches that pink throw pillows on it, a table with six chairs, an l-shaped counter and a television set. The walls were a soft blue and the light from the big window in the center of the room let in the light from outside, creating a sort of homey glow. The walls were bare but the green and orange blossoms were great decorations for the room.
There were two doors on one side of the room and two on the other side. There was a paper taped on the doors revealed the names of the girls who would soon be her roommates. Her door had the name 'Zoey' beside hers. The other names were Clary, Kyra, Rose and Fiona.
Their names sounded really, feminine and girlie
