Chapter 33 - The Woman Who Loves A Demon

'I love Sesshomaru and that much is obvious' She thought about the time that she saved him and remembered every appealing feature of his. His breathtaking appearance made her heart flutter with each glance. She ruffled with his bangs and saw the beautiful crescent as she trace the lining with the tip of her finger. She caressed his cheek and there were two strips on each side she leaned closer to his lips and give him a kiss as she move a piece of her hair behind her ear. A droplet of water splashed on his face and sat upon the grass then wipe away her tears as it pained her just to see the sight of him. She wanted to take care of him and be by his side. She squeezes a warm cloth then places it on his head again. She ran her hands through the soft fluff and then through as she place her head down on it and looked at him. She touched his smooth white hair and measured it as a single strand stopped at his knee. The most fearful demon in this land was out of commission and was just a fragile being. It surprised her that even demons could get sick. She found it laughable and made it her mission to nourish him back to health.

She looked at her reflection in the lake and wonder if Sesshomaru recovered completely. She didn't want anything from him besides his safety and good health. Since that day, her love just began to grow stronger and she yearn for him even more. She convinced herself that it was better if they didn't encounter each other. They're from different worlds and initially, they weren't supposed to fall in love. In fact, she doesn't even know how Sesshomaru feels about her a hundred percent. It was lust in the beginning but she was the one that fell in love first. She was hypnotized by such a creature from another race and wanted to learn more.

" Child, have you thought about the offer?" a shadow merge from behind the tree in a bamboo outfit that hid his identity in public.

" I accept but not for the reasons you think." Yuki didn't want her life to be short-lived and had one year left to complete her senior terms. She had to return back to Japan one day and reunite with her family. She gave her whole life ahead of her and was too young to die. It was an unfair fate, to begin with.

" Take the pieces of the shard that Kagome has and I want you to defeat witches, wiping out their existence." He instructed.

" I understand." It was confirmed and the deal was sealed.

"Yuki-chan." the fox demon yelled but before he could spot the two together, she destroyed the puppet with the blade of her sword.

" Oh, hey Shippo-- I just wanted time to myself to wash my face it's been tough lately." She caught the fox demon as he jumped in her arms.

" Everyone began to worry about you." the fox demon exclaimed then caught the whiff of a demon when he looked on the ground there was a broken puppet. He doubted that the human met with Naraku and thought it was an old puppet used by someone else, perhaps. He didn't pay any attention as they went back to the others.

She returned back to the campsite with the others. It was supper time and there was a big clay pot above the fire pit with the most delicious stew ever. Everyone gathered around and ate together. There was even enough for seconds or thirds, for those who were still hungry. It was nice scenery.

" More." InuYasha offered his bowl to the person that was making servings for the others.

" InuYasha, this is your fourth bowl. Why don't you wait and let the others finish up?." Kagome complained, a sweatdrop from her head as held the large spoon in her hand.

" This is so delicious, Kagome!" InuYasha scarf down the food, and was stuffed after the fourth bowl he could not take another bit.

" It's really yummy," Shippo commented and raised his bowl for seconds.

" Thank you, it was just something I whip up. I had to replace some ingredients but it came out better than I expect." She was pleased that she could satisfy her friends, and it put her in a happier spirit. After not catching Naraku and countless battles of obtaining the jewel shards, they can finally relax and enjoy each other company. She loved her friends very much so and would do anything to protect them.

" There's still enough for you to have a second bowl." Yuki took the large spoon from the pot and filled up Kagome's bowl. She could not stand the thought of betraying friends but she had to make moments like these count.

" Oh, thank you." Kagome was very grateful, she was still hungry but she wanted to make sure that everyone finished their food first. It was nice that another person was thinking about her.

" Oh, I must have the recipe so I can make it for my brother when he returns home." Sango liked the mixed vegetables and the combination of meat. It was blended so well together with herbs and spices. The food melted in her mouth and left a savory tasteful favor that made her want more. It was very delightful.

" The others are right, it flavorful." the monk complimented, and raised his bowl for seconds there was only a little bit left but Yuki made it happen as she scrap the bottom of the pot.
