Chapter 16 - Martial Spirit State

He was staring at the stone fixedly. "This must be some kind of spirit stone. This could fetch millions or even billions considering its size."

Raia chuckled. "Now I can feel I'm rich. I'm using a billion credit worth of spirit stone just to break through to Martial Spirit State."

Spirit stones were also a type of material that contains spirit energy. The cost of each stone depends on its size and the amount and quality of its energy.

Its price can range from a few thousand silver credits to billions of silver credits.

And like any other valuable materials, spirit stones can also be used as a form of currency. It can be used to trade for other resources. Of course, its value depends on its size and quality and amount of spirit energy.

"I am very fortunate to found this stone."

Raia placed the stone near him.

He started absorbing its energy to his body.

The second the profound energy entered his body, his spirit veins shone brightly as they welcomed it. His body shook excitedly as it was enveloped in the energy from the stone.

With his perfection state foundation and body, Raia can handle the amount of energy stored inside the peak-rank 3 spirit crystal from the alpha green tiger easily. He became a black hole of spirit energy and can refine a single peak-rank 3 crystal in under a few hours.

At Martial Physique State, the body can be considered amazing if it can refine a mid-rank 3 crystal. Most people just settle to low-rank 3 crystal because that is the most their body can handle and beyond that, will result into the explosion of their body.

Even those who have awakened a physique talent didn't dare to take a peak-rank 3 crystal when they are at Martial Physique State.

However, Raia have something that these people didn't have and that was his foundation and body reached perfection state. With his foundation and body, handling tens of high-rank 3 crystals will be a piece of cake and absorbing a few hundred mid-rank 3 crystals will be as easy as breathing.

In this note, with him having a perfection state foundation and body means he needed more spirit energy to advance to the next level or even state. The amount to reach the next level might be hundred or thousand folds higher than the normal requirement.

This situation can slow down his advancing to the next levels and states will be affected resulting to his advancement slowed down by a huge margin.

Even if he took thousands upon thousands of peak-rank 2 crystals every single day, it will take him months just to break through to the next level.

This problem was already solved by the world inside. The spirit energy in the air was dense, there are beasts everywhere with high quality crystals and there were other sources of energy like the spirit stone.

The surge of spirit energy started to enter Raia. The amount was several times than that of a peak-rank 3 alpha green tiger spirit crystal.

However, he still absorbed it with relative ease.

His foundation was emitting bright lights while every corner of his body was glowing.

Right now, Raia was bathing in a faint green light.

He was constantly absorbing and refining the spirit energy from the shining green stone.

Three hours passed.

During this time, his spirit was slowly beginning to assimilate with his foundation and body. The light around his body were a bit brighter than before.

Five more hours later and Raia felt that he will break through any time soon. This time, he was fully enveloped in bright green light that illuminates the whole dome.

Another hour and a sudden wave of profound energy burst out from Raia's body.

The walls shook from the shock. Raia was emitting a green light several times brighter the green stone.

His foundation, body and spirit were slowly being fused with each other.

At this moment, Raia felt pain all over him. It was like his foundation was in the verge of crumbling, his body was going to explode and his spirit was being torn apart.

He gritted his teeth and endured the pain.

Ten more hours passed and the pain began to decrease a little. His three aspects were only twenty five percent away from being united.

The green stone kept providing him with the energy and didn't look like it will stop from doing so anytime soon.

Five hours later and another burst of energy and light happened.

The dome trembled more violently.

Outside the cave, some of the weaker beasts felt the energy and fled. The stronger ones looked at the direction of the cave and continued to do what they were doing.

Inside the dome, Raia successfully united his spirit with his foundation and body.

He broke through the Martial Spirit State!

Raia felt like he was a new man once again.

His foundation that was already perfect expanded more and was shining more brilliant light. His body was tougher and sturdier than before. His organs were dazzling clean and strong.

The most important was that he can feel his that his spirit was much stronger than before. Raia also began having a small connection and understanding of the spirit energy around him.

Raia was so much pleased with what he accomplished.

He wanted to stop cultivating but sensing that the energy in the green stone he used was not even five percent of what it contains, he was shocked and resumed cultivating.

'What an outrageous amount of spirit energy.' Raia thought with a surprise.

His foundation kept emitting resplendent light and his body was releasing a beautiful glow while he was absorbing and refining the energy from the green stone.

On top of this, his spirit was giving a small amount of aura that made him refine the energy more efficiently and at a much faster rate.

During the process, his three aspects were getting stronger together little by little.

Raia began immersing himself on cultivating.

His goal was to absorb all the energy from the green stone.

He entered a tranquil state while doing so, cutting off all of his connections from both the inside and outside world.

In the living room of the house, Hauran was sitting on the couch racking his leg. Rose was going back and forth with her arms crossed in front of her chest.

"It's more than two days. Why isn't he still getting out?" Rose asked Hauran.

"Let's wait a bit more time." Hauran made a complicated face.

It was over two days already when Raia entered his room to break through to Martial Spirit State.

A normal break through to Martial Spirit State would at least take a few hours and Hauran knew this.

He could also understand that with Raia's 'Physique talent', his break through could take at least half a day up to a whole day. However, it had been over two days and he was still not exiting his room.

And what made Hauran and Rose worried was that they didn't feel his presence inside his room when they were checking it from the outside.

They took this as Raia suppressing his aura to not scare his siblings. However, time already passed.

They were also thinking that he was having some problems and couldn't break though because they were still not sensing a burst of spiritual aura that will happen after someone broke through the Martial Spirit State.

However, there was this feeling that came to the both of them. It was like and instincts of a parents. They both knew that Raia is still alive, they're just not sure if he is in good state.

Even if they are very worried about their son, they still didn't barge into his room.

It would be a disaster if Raia was really breaking through and they interrupted him. The damage of that would be irreversible.

"I'm sure he will be fine. Let's trust him." Hauran embrace Rose.

"Okay." Rose nodded.

The next day, Raia still didn't come out.

This made the family worried.

In the afternoon, someone came to visit them.

It was the adviser of Raia from school, Sir Timothy.

"Good Day. I am Raia's adviser from school, Timothy Dale. I am here because Raia was didn't show himself these past week in school and it is just a week before the final exams. I would just like to talk with him for a moment." Timothy said calmly and with a smile.

Hauran and Rose looked at each other. Signaling to the other one if they should tell him about what is happening.

In the end, they decided to keep the situation to themselves.

"Sir Timothy, Raia was out hunting so he is not here. If you have something to tell him, you can tell us and we'll just relay it to him when he come back." Hauran explained.

Timothy didn't doubt this and gave his message to Raia.

"Alright. It's nothing much really. I'll just need to know if he was fine and if he will be still attending the final exams. But I think he is fine considering he is hunting beasts in the forest. Now, I just need to know if he is still going to take the final exams." Timothy asked Hauran.

Hauran smiled. "You don't have to worry about him, sir. Raia will attend the final exams."

"Well, I'm very glad to hear that." Timothy breathed with relief.

Raia was a good student of the school. He was diligent, hard-working and very nice too. However, he has a low cultivation state. Timothy sympathizes with Raia because he too came from not rich family and it took him decades just to reach his current 6th level Martial Warrior State.

But this was all changed when he sized up Raia more than a week ago.

That time, he was shocked to see Raia's cultivation state jumping from 9th level Martial Foundation State to 7th level Martial Physique State in just two days.

This gave him a great surprise. He assumed that Raia had his hands on something good and this made him break through to the next state and levels at a quick rate.

He didn't take it as an abnormal phenomenon because with a high grade resource, one can break through to a state easily during the early states.

This just gave him hope for this kid. With his cultivation state, he can at least go to a mid-tier university. That would make a huge impact in his life.

That is why Timothy needed to make sure that Raia will take the final exam because if he missed it, a year of him would be wasted in waiting for the next chance of getting into the universities. The others will be ahead of him then.

The three talked for some more minutes before Timothy left.

Back in the living room, Hauran and Rose were discussing what they should do.

After an hour, they still ended up just waiting for Raia to come out from his own room.

"I think I need to scold him a little after he comes out." Rose's brows were creased.

Hauran nodded. "Yes. Let's do that."

In the center of the dome, a figure was constantly emitting bright green light that illuminated every part of the dome.

Moments later and the green stone in front of Raia lost its color.

The bright green light dimmed slowly.

A few minutes passed and Raia opened his eyes.

He breathed out a visible haze of spirit energy.

Raia then stood up and stretched his body.

He looked at his hands and clenched it. He could feel the brimming power in him.

After he refined all the spirit energy from the green stone, he reached mid-1st level Martial Spirit State. This might not be a huge leap but for Raia with his perfection state foundation and body, this was considered a great achievement.

His foundation and body was strengthened once again.

However, the best thing was that his spirit improved the most out of the three.

He also now has a deeper connection and understanding of the spirit energy around him.

In addition to all these, his combat power jumped from mid-3rd level Martial Spirit State to mid-5th level Martial Spirit State. That was a two level leap!

"With all I have right now, I can kill the alpha-green tiger in less than ten punches."

That is far from more than hundreds he released just to kill the alpha green tiger the first time.

"But low-rank 4 is still impossible for me."

The difference between peak-rank 3 and low-rank 4 beasts was heaven and earth. The low-rank 4 beasts would just prey on the peak-rank 3 without effort.

It was the same as peak-9th level Martial Physique State and 1st level Martial Spirit State. The latter could kill the former with ease.

Raia was happy with what he achieved and wanted to test his strength.

He walked in front of the stone piles he created as a seal to the dome.

Raia used a quarter of his strength and punched the stones.

'Boom!!'

The stones exploded into bits and dusts revealing the large pathway of the cave.

Raia nodded with satisfaction. "This is good."

He exited the cave to find some more targets to test his new strength.

Completely forgetting to check the time that passed at the world outside.
