Chereads / The Worlds Within / Chapter 17 - Exit

Chapter 17 - Exit

The time that Raia spent in the world inside was more than fifteen days. Outside, three days have already passed.

Raia completely forget about the time difference between the two worlds.

Maybe it was because he was very excited about his new strength that this fact slipped his mind.

He also entered a tranquil state while cultivating that allows him to lose the sense of time during cultivation.

It was still day time outside the forest.

He stood in front of a huge tree about four meters in diameter and punched it. This time, he used half of his strength.

'Boom!!'

His fists clashed with the thick tree trunk.

A huge chunk of the trunk disintegrated and the force continued up to the ones in the back. They also took some damage from the punch that Raia released.

There was a huge hole in the tree and the remaining sides couldn't support the whole tree and it collapsed to the ground. It crashed to the other trees and made the earth shook from the impact of its fall.

Raia smiled with contentment. "I should try hunting beasts around the place."

He said while still forgetting to check the time that passed.

With a kick to the ground, he dashed away. "With my speed, I can now cover a larger area." He quickly traveled a few kilometers in a span of few minutes.

He was searching for beasts and plants like the blue tear fruit.

And he was not disappointed because he immediately found some beasts.

It was a group of four-horned goats. They number a hundred and they were feeding on a grassy part of the forest.

He rushed to the goats and annihilated the whole group in just a few minutes. He collected all the bodies and sent them all to the storage space.

Raia then continued to hunt beasts and a few minutes later, he encountered a pack of spiked-green tigers.

He quickly killed the ten tigers, gathered their corpses and moved on.

Two hours passed. These past two hours, Raia killed over 200 four-horned goats, 30 spiked green tigers and 15 black-tailed beasts.

It was a fruitful adventure.

He hunted more beasts in the last two hours than all the beasts he hunted in this world in the past.

This was because he can move faster and can cover a wider area of the forest. The area he covered this time was three times than what he traveled before.

With this, he also discovered new beasts.

The first one was a thirty five meter long high-rank 3 gray-scaled python. In the past, Raia would be afraid of it but now, he battled it without fear and with such ease. He encountered two of them and killed both even he doesn't have any weapons except his fists.

Their fangs were huge and can be used as weapons. The scales were high quality too and so was its spirit crystal.

The second beast was a group of low-rank 3 jackals. They were the size of a feral dog but much faster and fiercer. Unfortunately, they were nothing in front of Raia.

A single punch was needed to kill one jackal.

The third one was a mid-rank 3 spiral-horned antelope. Raia encountered a group of fifty antelopes and killed them all. The antelopes were fast but their speed was not enough to get them to escape from their predator.

He was interested in their two spiral horns. It was at higher grade than the horns of the four-horned goats after all.

After two more hours, Raia stopped hunting.

"This should be enough." He now had a good guess of where his strength was. And that was what he really wanted.

"It's time to head out."

He exited the world inside. When he looked at the time, he was shocked.

"It's been three days?! That means I spent fifteen days inside."

Raia sighed. "I was too immersed in myself that I completely forgot to take note of the time. Stupid!"

He smacked his head.

The first thing he did was to wash his body.

Afterwards, he came out to see his family.

In the living room, Rome and Rina was playing while Rhea was in the kitchen. It was weekend so they have no classes.

At this moment, a figure came down the stairs and greeted them.

"Elder brother!" Rina jumped straight to Raia. He caught her and raised her in his arms.

Rina embraced his neck tightly. Rome and Rhea came close to him too.

"Are you alright? Did something happen? You were inside your room for a few days so it made us worried." Rhea said with a concerned face.

"Nothing happened. The break through just took longer than I expected." Raia answered with a smile.

"That is good to hear. We were all worried about you. We thought you've encountered something while breaking through." Rhea breathed a sigh of relief.

Rome confirmed that his brother was fine so he asked. "So brother! Did you break through the Martial Spirit State?!"

Raia saw the anticipation in his eyes and replied. "Of course. I successfully broke through the Martial Spirit State."

With a wide and excited eyes, Rome jumped around. "Amazing! Amazing! I can't wait to be a Martial Spirit State too!"

Raia laughed at his little brother and said. "Just work hard and don't slack off in cultivating."

Rome nodded. "Of course!"

"You too. If you need something, just ask me, okay?" Raia turned to Rhea.

"Sure." The girl nodded.

Raia patted Rina's back. "Rina, I'll go to father so you need to go down."

"You will leave me again!" Rina shouted.

"I won't. I'll just talk with them and after I come back we will play!" Raia tried to convince her.

"Today and tomorrow too!" Rina screamed in his ear.

"Of course! Tomorrow too!"

Rina went down and stared at Raia while he was walking away.

Hauran was hammering in the smithy when Raia walked inside. He saw him and stopped his work.

"Raia." He approached his son and sized him.

'Oh Sh..This kid already broke through? But I didn't feel any burst of spirit aura. What happened? This kid! He is so strong! His physique talent is really great! He is already stronger than me.'

"Father. I am sorry for worrying you." Raia quickly apologized.

He felt guilty of what happened.

"It's fine. Congratulations, you've broke through the Martial Spirit State. That is great news. We should celebrate." Hauran patted Raia's shoulders.

"Thank you, father. I'll help you in your work."

Hauran shook his head while waving his hands. "I am good. Go to your mother. She is really worried about you."

"Okay."

"Let's talk later."

Raia left to find his mother.

'At the end, I couldn't get angry at him.' Hauran thought as he sighed.

In their shop, the moment Raia entered, Rose left all her anger and embraced him. Her plan of scolding Raia crumbled when she saw him.

They talked for a bit before Raia came back to their house to play with Rina and Rome.

Evening came.

The family was sitting in front of the table eating.

They talked about mostly about what happened to Raia. He answered them all and lied about some things to hide the fact about his world inside.

"We didn't feel your spirit aura burst when you broke through to Martial Spirit State." Hauran commented.

"I was trying to control it as much as I can because of what happened in the past." Raia lied.

"We should have just sent you somewhere where you can break through without suppressing or controlling you aura for us." Rose said.

"It's fine."

'They couldn't feel my presence these past few days and that made them really worried. I really should stay away from them when I am breaking through. They would be suspicious if they discover that I am not inside my room.'

"Ah! Right. Your adviser came and asked if you're going to take the final exams. I said you are going to so take it." Hauran said with a firm voice.

"Oh Sir Timothy?" Raia asked.

'Well, I've been away weeks before the final exams so he sure is worried. What a nice person.'

"Yes. You've been absent for long so he came to confirm that you are taking the exams." Hauran added.

"Thank you for telling me. I will go back to school and take the exams." Raia responded.

"You should do great on the final exams so that you can enter a good university." Rose advised. "Right. Have you chosen where you want to go? Don't tell me you still haven't decided yet? How many times should we ask this to you?"

Sensing her slight upset voice, Raia gave an answer. "I have one in mind."

"Oh. What is it?" Rose asked with anticipation.

"Wolford Central." Raia answered.

Hauran and Rose almost coughed their food out.

"W-Wolford Central University?!" Hauran asked with wide eyes.

"Y-yes."

"The top one university in our Planet?!" Rose also questioned his son.

"Y-yes. That one. Why are you reacting like this? Is something wrong with it?" The puzzled Raia asked his parents.

He already made his mind a while back but didn't tell them because he first wanted to make sure that he have what it takes to enter that university. It was the number one school in the whole planet Rhost after all.

He didn't want to embarrass his family after he enrolled in the university so he tried to at least have a good state.

Raia assumed that his parents will be shocked when they hear this but their reactions were more extreme than he had pictured.

Hauran realized their reaction and coughed.

"It's a good university. If that is the one you've chosen, we will support you." Hauran assured Raia. He tapped Rose.

"That is right. We said you can choose any university you want to go. If the…Wolford Central University is where you want to go, we will gladly support your decision." Rose said with a smile.

"Thank you."

"If Wolford Central is where you chose to go, then you really need to do your greatest in the exams. Entering that university is difficult after all." Hauran gave Raia a firm advice.

"I looked up to it and I think I can enter it. I have all the requirements needed to be able to enroll in that university. I just need to get a recommendation letter from the school and I am a bit confident that I can get it." Raia said with a straight face.

"If that so then we will trust you." Hauran said.

At this moment, Rose sighed. "It's seems like you will really leave us after all."

When Rina heard this, she started crying and shouting at Raia.

"We can move to Wolford City together if you want to." Raia suggested dumbfounding the family.

After pondering for a bit, Hauran talked.

"We will think about it. But you should go to Wolford Central if you can. That is the number one school after all."

"I understand. I will do my best." Raia assured them.

"About moving to Wolford City, we'll discuss it again after you pass the final exams." Hauran pointed out.

Raia nodded.

They finished dinner and went back to their rooms.

Raia was tired to he rested for the night.

The next day, he stayed at home and played with Rina and Rome. Rhea was cultivating in her room.

He opened his phone after a long time and he was flooded with messages and calls from Aaron and his other friends. They were asking about him and why he was not attending school.

He replied to them with brief answers and searched for Wolford Central University and tried to find everything he can about the place.

Such as their rules, facilities, their departments, activities and even professors. He also browsed for their achievements and the like.

In the evening, Raia was informed by his father that he would be starting to sell the amber swords and daggers the next day.

This is good news for them.

They talked and after they were done eating, returned to their rooms to rest.

In his room, Raia decided to enter the world inside to hunt for beasts.

Unlike the other times, when he entered the world inside, it was already night.

He was standing in the middle of the forest calmly.

"This was the first time I am wandering around the forest at night. I am stuck at the canyon last time."

It was dark but with his strong connection with the spirit energy around him, he can feel the small fluctuations in the energy around and with this, he can sense what was around him.

At this moment, he sensed a danger and the very next second, a pair of yellow eyes approached him in a split second.

He instantly exited the place after knowing that it was something he could not defeat right now.

Raia appeared in his room with his racing heart.

"I'm sure that that is a peak-rank 5 beast."
