Chapter 4 - Chapter 3: Ashore

The outskirts, New Azazel Empire, Galia

A wide-eyed Aegir looked at the island with busybodies frolicking around, looking like mishmash blurs of black, brown and grays caused by ever moving tunic clad bodies.

The streets were flooded with shouts and jolting of the merchants about their commodities–mainly fishes and some bizzare gadgets.

The busy scene was enough to shock the social pariah, Aegir, whom never had further connections with other entities besides his own group of people and the dragon cub, and that too, was minimal with an exception of the latter.

The sudden overwhelming situation caused him to lower the hood of his cloak, further hiding his face.

Aegir was in humanoid form–a form he'd rarely used, if ever. He'd hated the the way gravity weighed him down, how slow and hard to use the bipedal limbs he had gained, causing each step to be filled with infinite struggle.

Aegir, as a result, hated the simple act of walking.

He would've cursed his old friend, a human deity of the past, for giving him such a wonderful blessing, had it not been for it's usefulness at strange times.

Miyu too, was in his humanoid form—with skin a little too yellowy for an authentic human, that is. Although the orange circles dotting across his orginal body had disappeared for better concealment, His poor gait still showed that he is not so proficient in using his reduced limbs.

All in all, the two of them walking side by side made for a good show of two drunk idiots threatening to fall down any second.

Except that they were not drunk.

Seeing Aegir's struggling form made Miyu want to laugh, but he dared not. For he too, was laughable.

But the slow thinker Miyu's mouth was faster than his brain. "Struggling? Why not make me carry you princess style?"

Aegir blantantly threw a dirty look his way, as if saying, aren't you worse than me?

Miyu's face became abysmal. He decidedly shut up.

When Aegir turned his head away from his foolish friend, his face collided with a wall—a literal wall of stone. It caused him to fall down due to his poor perceivement of gravity and his own weight.

"..."

"Ahsjshaha." Miyu held a hand out.

Silently, Aegir held Miyu's outstetched beefy hands, it was shaking from stopping himself from laughing.

Aegir stood up and adjusted his own dishevelled clothes, dusting himself at the same time. He pulled his robe's hood down once again, covering the bit of face that had shown.

He looked to the left, and to the right. Eyes discretly scanning over the people who might've seen his embarassing display of idiocracy. His ears started to heat up a little, thinking of it.

His butt and forehead hurts, to be honest. But still, he ignored the pain and continued to trudge onwards with just a grumble and some slight rubs on the places hit hard to relieve the stinging.

In the far east, at a high point,

Unbeknowest to them, a man, dressed in white poet shirt looked on, amused by the two's antics. His gaze stopped for a beat longer on Miyu's exposed arms. Knowing well enough to tell that the two was no human.

The man stood up from his seat in the ship's crow's nest, removing the monocular from his eye, a smile appearing slightly on the edges of his mouth.

"The storm's about to arrive at our ship." He delightedly chuckled.

".....?!" wtf. The Vice Captain halted the action of sweeping to look at his captain, sweat dripping down.

****

Aegir and Miyu finally arrived to the other side of the island; the dock.

The Siren looked at the yellow humanoid kraken, "Why are we here?", he wondered aloud.

Miyu looked at him deeply. " To the wretched." He said.

The buffed up yellow-skinned man then held Aegir's hand, dragging the latter's willowy body easily towards the row of ships aligned in order.

Aegir tried his best not stumble down. And finally, after much trying to not embarass himself by flopping on the ground once again, they arrived at the side of the largest of all the ships docked.

"I heard her say that such a mark on the ship will help me find my way to her." Miyu mumbled, almost inaudible to most, save a Siren who can hear even the ultrasonics.

Her? Aegir confusedly looked at his bestfriend, only to see the other gazing intently at something. Entirely unaware of the 'her' the other was talking about except for the fact that 'she's' supposedly a wretched, Aegir decided to ask the idiot later, but for now..

Aegir followed Miyu's line of sign, with his landing on the same Large sculpted Sun on the middle of the ship as his friend's.

"Solaris?" Aegir said, a bit overwhelmed.

But Miyu didn't seem to hear him, continuing to drag him to a man that looked to be a pirate, though a pirate that looked to be more like a lackey amongst the group.

Without a word, the Kraken took out a letter with a stamp containing the very same Solaris Emblem.

Aegir looked onwards as Miyu let go of his hands and walked with feigned steady steps, well, as steady as a giant squid can to the pirate lackey.

"Greetings, " The kraken's gruff voice sounded,"May I request a session with your captain? We were sent by Ms. Myrre, she said this matter is quite urgent and must not be delayed. "

One Siren and One human looked at the Kraken with wide eyes, As if looking at an impossibility. Aegir, because how could his idiot bestfriend have such a way with words? The lackey, because of the person's audacity.

But the two had to step back as Miyu presented the letter, showing the back side of the envelope instead of the front containing the seal, which actually had the words he'd just said. All. Of. Them. Including the "greetings." Down to the very last letter of "delayed".

"...." Aegir embarassedly face palmed.

"O-oh. I meant to show this." Miyu's yellow face suspiciously showed signs of pink coloration, so gaudy on his exposed chin.

The lackey took a good look at the seal in front, face draining of life. "A-ah yes, will do. I'm gonna get the captain. Yes, right now. F-follow this lowly servant, dear masters."

Aegir and Miyu looked at each other but said nothing, following the lackey in a serious manner.

They arrived by the ship's decks with tens of eyes following their every movement. The smell of sweat and masculinity seems to waft in the air, causing the two newcomers to inhale the strange, new odour.

The young pirate lackey did not notice and continued to skillfully avoid the rough men aboard, with Aegir and Miyu on tow, pinching their noses without inhibition.

"Pussy!" A voice said, followed by a load of loud laughter.

Aegir chocked whilst trying to snort sarcastically.

"Atleast we pussies don't smell."

There were boos, but Miyu punched his elbow, smile obvious from his widened chin.

The lackey didn't pay any of it any mind and continued walking towards the frontmost part of the ship, where Aegir assumed was the Captain's location.

And sure enough, he heard the lackey mumble, " Hear we are."

The skinny human then began to knock on the door,

"Cap'n, Ms. Myrre got you some guests."

That Ms. Myrre again. Just who is she to be held in such high regards by even a captain of the Solaris Union? They are known to be quite some aroggant idiots even back then in his glory days.

"Let them Come in, Tobi." A lazy voice dwaddled after a few seconds, disrupting any of Aegir's thoughts.

Tobi, as the captain called him, opened the door to the Captain's Cabin, revealing the messy insides of the enclosed space.

The rays from the sun was the only source of light, but because of the attached windows on the front of the ship, the room was as bright as the outside, which Aegir assumed was also for better viewing for the captain, who steers the wheels.

The opening of the door resulted in a gush of air, a thing that blew the hoods of both Aegir and Miyu's cloaks.

Aegir found it strange, for how could such small movements create that big of a disturbance? Even he, someone whom rarely get out of the waters could tell. It was really weird..unless..

Aegir looked at the man who just came out, not focusing much on the other aspects but his narrowed gaze landed on the man's hand, which he, sure enough, saw the green glow of used air mana.

But it was a different tale for Miyu, whom was still cussing the winds.

Aegir looked helplessly at the idiot, wanting to smack but not daring to.

The captain took away his own dumbfounded expression after seeing the two's appearance and quickly smiled at Aegir's scrunched face.

"My dear lady, " he said. " Allow this humble gentleman to kiss all your worries away. Forgive this humble I, for such unworthy welcome of your divine prescence, blah blah blah blah.."

Aegir was rendered a stone when the captain reached out for his hand and kissed the back of it.
