Ben, slamming his hand against the counter, spoke with great difficulty through his gritted teeth, " What have I done that has made you so angry " trying to calm his nerves as he looked at this broad man.
Placing the mug down against the counter, as I went to look at him lazily"I am currently staying in room seven" expecting a great response.
After Ronin said those words, you could visibly see Ben become confused, as he couldn't understand why a strange man would suddenly talk about the man who brought him a great amount of shame.
Seeing as Ben didn't recognize me and at the fact, I could be asked to keep this up, I let go of the grudge as it seems, after the cultivation, the new look intimidates more people than I expected. Anyway, I came down from smelling food, so I asked "where's the food?"
Ben looked at Ronin taking his feet off the counter after he asked, Ben was speechless seeing Ronin move on thinking that maybe he had the wrong person when he directed his anger towards him and it, seemed that this was his way of trying to move on.
"The food is busy being prepared in the back " As Ben pointed to some double doors behind him.
Drinking more beer, I wondered how many days I had been in that room for him to forget a face. Looking down into the mug, I saw it was empty. Remembering something and before I forgot I quickly asked, "By the way, which way is it to get into the bathhouse?"
Ben, seeing I was holding out the mug towards him grabbed the mug from Ronin's hand, as he started thinking of ways to give the directions towards the bathhouse as he filled up the mug "That's 4 copper. The only place I know that has a bathhouse is down Huntington's street, and it's next to the Hunter's Church." as he gave the mug back.
Hearing this perked my ears, because if that really is the Hunter's Church I am thinking about, then it would be bad luck for them, but right now I can't be asked to look for it just yet "Where is Huntington's Street and how do I get to it"
Ben sighed under all the questions but didn't feel like angering this man, so he answered "It's not that far away when you leave the alley to the right then 2 lefts, and you should see the street"
Setting the mug down and placing the 4 coppers neatly on top of each other, I walked out heading for the bathhouse, but whilst I was there I might as well try to scope out the Church and see if it belongs to the twins.
Following the instructions, I headed through the crowds, completely unaware of just how easy it was to knock people into a stumble, plus it didn't help that this time I could see over their heads allowing me to easily navigate the streets but not see them below me.
Spotting a green sign with the Huntington's Street name written in a bold, bright white brought a devious smile to my face as I knew that those pricks never change. Their sign was painted in their favourite colour of green, and this was the only green sign I could spot.
I couldn't help but get my hopes up, to ruin their plans of spreading their reach, but if I was mistaken, I don't think it would be too bad, however, I needed to get far stronger in order to kill them if they find out.
Looking over at the Church I saw the symbol for a bow and arrow, but the bow and arrow were standing next to each other, aiming up at the sky, this in their minds represented the equality between the two and in their own words "We are both the weapon and the tool"
Frowning, as I searched for the bathhouse along the street, because I wanted this dame grubby hair to stop sticking to my face.
Holding my head up high as I walked off trying to shift my mind in knowing the twins were close, but nonetheless. Keeping myself extremely focused, trying to find this mysterious bathhouse, I didn't realise I had been hitting into almost everyone, until someone placed their hands on my shoulder.
Turning around in a bit of anger as my concentration had abruptly been broken, to see a man with a well-trimmed red beard beaming with a smile.
Putting his hands up in surprise after seeing this mans eyes, as the breaded man spoke trying to calm Ronin's anger "Whoa, whoa, calm down son, my name is Wilstus, nice to meet you" as he held out his hand.
Glancing at the man's hand, I noticed he had a ring in the shape of a lion rapping around his finger, almost like it is chasing after its own tail. Looking up, I could see he was a pretty strong-looking man, with most of his body covered in leather.
Not interested in greeting him, I told him "Don't call me son" as I turned around to try and walk off.
Wilstus wasn't discouraged at all instead he showed teeth with his smile "See, that's what I like, a strong overbearing sense of pride" as Wilstus tried to swing his big frame around to get in Ronin's way, "My I know your name"
Seeing him obstruct my way on my search, irritated me even more "Fine, but first time me where the bloody bathhouse is" as I waited for the reply.
Seeing Wilstus smile as he scratched his temple whilst he visibly struggled to think "Well it's just over there" as he lazily pointed over his shoulder with his thumb, beaming with a smile.
Giving him a cold glare, "You think if I knew where 'there' was, I would have asked you for directions" seeing as he might know where it was I pushed harder "Point it out"
See the cold dead eyes that sent him danger sings, the smile vanished "Oh, son, you better not glare at me like that" as he stepped forward to get into Ronin's face "Or else someone could take it the wrong way"
He called me son again, with a slight bit of anger I wanted to cause he fear for the fun of it. With Wilstus face so close to mine, he wouldn't see my hand reaching to grab his throat. Clutching his neck, you could see the surprise on his face.
Lifting him off the cobblestone floor, I uttered with a cold and deep voice "I told you to not call me son didn't I" holding him in the air I completely forgot that we were in the middle of a crowd, as they started muttering between each other.
Feeling Wilstus Ki rise as I held him, he shouted, "Put me down!" But my plan to scare him was now complete as I started to circulate my Ki, through my body and made it follow my veins until I let it extend into Wilstus body through his neck from my hand.
With my Ki attached to me, I started to devour his Ki and you could see it on Wilstus face that something was wrong as he tried to strike down on my arm, but it felt more like he softly pressed into my arm.
However, from Wilstus side, he could feel his energy was busy draining, making his muscles ache as well as his joints started to become rigid now he had no strenght, but suddenly see Ronin spat blood brought a diffelct smile to his face.
Suddenly dropping him "What the fuck was that" as I spat out some more blood, thinking my body was in danger I was quickly searching through my body when I found the problem.
It was a bit of divinity attached to a sliver a Ki I absorbed even though it was divinity, my body was not prepared for it, causing some backlash from my body and needing to quickly subdue it before it's too late.
I needed to quickly find how someone like him could have divinity, and that would mostly mean someone else planted it within him or more lazily gave him an item meaning I could take it and use it later on.
Needing to search Wilstus but luckily he was out cold, but his body was twitching, and I paid it no head. I searched for any kind of jewellery, taking off the ring, two bracelets and a neckless, but left the crystal wristband.
Darting through the crowds of people and off into an ally as more blood seeped from the sides of my mouth. Stumbling through all the garbage, I couldn't contain it anymore as the sliver of divinity kept damaging my internal organs.
I was unable to contain my anger, as I kept thinking how on such a backwater plant did I meet an Apostle's apprentice and why of all things now. Thinking maybe that's why he was so weak.
Leaning against the wall because the pain was too unbearable, and this body just wouldn't listen to my commands to move anymore. I had to find a safe place to properly digest the sliver of divinity.
Seeing a boarded-up doorway, a promptly made my way over.
The wooden board had been so weathered and rotten that I could easily just push them to splinters.
Tripping over the little lip that I hadn't spotted and having no energy to counteract the fall, I just let it happen and gritted my teeth as I thudded against the ground.
Seeing there were more doorways, I glanced around, guessing which one I should go to because I don't think I have enough energy to get up right now.
Crawling into one of the rooms, so I could be out of sight from the main entrance. Pulling myself up, putting my back upon the wall to stable myself, I quickly focused on putting all my energy to try and contain the divinity with my Ki.
Finding it, and locking it down just by my right kidney, that's when I started to absorb Ki from the air to make the container stronger, so the divinity won't surprise me when I try to heal.
Then proceeded to get more Ki and spend a good amount of time healing myself, so I could have feel good enough to absorb the divinity into my arsenal.
