An unknown planet floated on the outskirts of a galaxy, with very strong impenetrable clouds that stormed above the surface, that has never let, the light of the red sun it orbited, get down to its surface.
On its surface, there is a vast ecosystem that had learnt to survive without light. Plants had adapted to produce their own light in multiple different ways, however, most of these plants emitted blue light, giving most of everything on the plant a blue tint.
A man was dressed in very grand looking clothes which resembled that of a suit, but with the fabric mostly being in black silk with the stitching being bright red, giving off a sense of elegance, to most of his actions.
Looking over the city he had been sitting down, letting the time pass, as he pondered, as he was looking out at the blue glow of the horizon, he furled his brows as no matter how much thought he put into his conundrum nothing was coming to mind.
You wouldn't have thought if you looked at him with his mat black hair and with his blacked-out bread that he was old and by a lot as well, but in his clan, most of his people die when they choose to because they just get fed up with their long lives.
He stood up, trying to calm down his frustration because he couldn't solve the dilemma he was having. Glancing down at the city that his family so proudly built over the centuries, and went to step inside his castle.
When a slight shudder run across his body, this shudder was not out of fear or anger, but out of pure bliss. His father had told him that one day such a feeling would come over him, but he did not expect it to be now.
With his sense of duty coming back to him as the feeling faded, his deep brown eyes had a cold glint to them as he dashed past the servant who did try to give their greetings, but his speed didn't allow him to hear.
He made it to the front of a majestic metal door that the image of a demon with large horns standing over his subordinates who were bowing in front of his presence. It had been a while since he had been here, he thought.
The man smiled and spoke for only him to hear, "I have always wanted to see what was behind this door" He remembered that the door you had to put your hand on the imprint and his father told him that when the time comes he needs to put his hand there.
Placing his hand on the imprint, lights started shooting across the surface on specifically laid outlines of the door giving everything thing a nice glow and one specific line had coursed the demon's eyes start glowing an eerie red.
With that being over, he thought the doors would open, but nothing happened except the lights turning on, and he was a little disappointed when he heard a strange noise coming from behind the wall.
On the wall, a panel opened up to extend a bowl that had a red crystal at the bottom, he had recognised it because it was when he came down here for his orientation. Pulling up his sleeve, he drew out a decorative dagger, he sliced his arm open, allowing the blood to fall into the bowl.
The crystal started to burn red as it sucked in the blood, and that was when a metallic voice rang throughout the cobblestone tunnel.
[Initializing… Identity found… Welcome to the chamber of ancestors…] As the robotic voice bombed throughout the tunnel.
Looking around to find where that voice was coming from led him to discovered nothing, as nothing was out of the ordinary from when he came down here. Putting away the dagger, he glanced at his arm, which had already fully healed, and brushed away the blood that stayed.
He turned his head to see that the bowl went back into the wall, with the panel closing soon behind it and with the bowl gone noises could be heard shacking then shortly after the large door cracked open, shaking the dust from it.
The door took forever to open, but he understood why, as when he saw how wide the doors were, he initially became very dumbfounded trying to understand why and how was someone able to build and place those doors that were about 2 meters thick.
When those doors finally opened enough, he was able to slip through the gape, but what surprised him the most, was when he came out of the gape a very old man was standing the like a dead man hunched over with a walking stick staring at him, which caused him to flinch.
The old man, seeing his reaction chuckled, seeing the boy jump back, he did that for a little bit of entertainment, after all, he had been down here for a very long time, so he couldn't help it.
However, the old man needed to get back to formalities and in leaving that mindset he introduced himself with a bow "Hello, King Cain the 4th child of the Blood Clan, you may call me Walter"
Cain regained his composure after Walter said his greetings, however, Cain couldn't seem to take his eyes off Walter because he looked so old, his wrinkles looked like they were falling off his face and he was even more surprised that Walter could see with that much skin hanging in front of his eyes.
Walter noticed the stare, but wasn't offended, since this would be the first time Cain had seen someone so old before. Walter moved his cane towards the tunnel and started walking off, not before saying "This way your majesty"
Cain followed on and now that he could get a proper look he spotted holes about 1 meter tall by 1 meter wide filled with what seemed like coffins as he was able to spot that each of them had names written on them.
The holes littered the walls from the entrance all the way down to where the wall ends and that's where Cain saw four strange coffins, which were grand in size, and they were laid out on raised platform with some soft light shining on them.
Walter strolled up to the coffins on the right, and Cain watched him enter a code into the lock that could be seen stretching around the lid and pinning it to the base. When Walter inputted the code, you could see each of the pins that had held the lid in place shot open.
Walter looked over at Cain and said: "I am not allowed to open the casket" raising his hand, at the coffin for him "Please Cain go ahead" as he moved out the way, so he wouldn't be imposing.
Cain stepped up to the coffin and placed his hands on the lid, preparing to open it, when he heard footsteps coming from the tunnel and fast. Glancing over, he spotted his dad running like a mad man over towards him.
"Cain, my boy... Wait for me" As he ran some more, he finally reached his son's side. The father's name was Viktor, he was wearing almost the same clothes as his son because that was the usual royal attire, he just didn't have the red seams.
His hair that was a light brown had become dishevelled as he had been running for quite some time. Viktor noticed Cain had his hands ready to open the coffin, so he looked to see if the lock had been opened.
Slightly surprised that his son knew the pin he was about to pat him on the back when he spotted Walter, then began to converse with him "Oh, sorry Walter, I didn't see you there, so you must have been the one to release the lock"
Walter leaning on his cane replied "Yes, sir"
Hearing his answer, Viktor became quite chuffed as Walter was still alive and kicking even after all these years, so he apologized "Sorry, Walter I thought Cain opened it, but I am glad to see you're still alive even after all these years"
Walter sighed softly, so Viktor couldn't pick up on it and replied "Thank you, sir"
Cain kept hearing, his father and Walter bickering back and forth until his father ended the conversation by turning to him and uttering in excitement "Go on, my boy lift the lid" and Cain nodded.
Viktor then went to glance back at Walter, "Can you go open my mother's coffin as I think my dad would like to see his wife the first chance he gets" he exclaimed with a smile.
Walter didn't want to talk to Viktor anymore, so he moved his cane and went onto the great queen's coffin. Whilst that was happening, Viktor waited for Cain to open the lid, and he didn't have to wait long until the lid flipped over and Cain became dumbfounded to see someone laying there so peacefully.
Cain didn't really have time to observe the man in the coffin when blood started to hit him in the face, he quickly looked up to see his dad had a cut along his wrist.
With the blood flowing into the mouth of the sleeping man, Viktor had a noticeable smile on his face and he went to look over at his son to advise him "Cain take, a couple steps back"
Listening to his father, he took a step back and saw that his dad had already moved onto the next coffin to do the same to the woman that was also laying in her own separate coffin.
Suddenly a wave of pressure pulsed out from one of the coffins, Walter was able to stand like nothing was happening, but Viktor and differently could not stand, especially when the pulses got stronger with each second.
Walter slowly made his way over to the men who crumbled to the ground and put up a barrier to shield them from any more damage, as Cain had fainted with blood leaking from his eyes and eyes whilst Viktor was conscious, but he just spat out blood.
A hand grabbed the edge of the coffin and crushed it as he shorted in excitement, "Finally he's back!"
