" Yawn " Jason woke up the next morning feeling refreshed and ready to ride. He did a few push ups and had his bath. He put on a black long sleeve turtle neck and black pants. Today, he was going to the scouts guild.
" Good morning sir, good morning ma'am " Jason greeted. He took his seat at the dining table and joined them to eat. He muttered a good morning to Narla when he glanced at her. She tied her platinum blonde hair into a ponytail, wore a black tank and dark tight knickers with long boots. Jason could not get enough just glancing at her. She flashed him a smile and continued with her food.
" Davis had already left for the scouts guild so, only Narla and Jason were left. " Done eating " Narla said, " Jason, eat faster so that you can follow me ". " Okay " Jason replied.
He eventually finished his food and left the house with Narla in her chariot. They arrived at the scouts guild, and Jason ran into Elsa. " Hey Elsa " Jason called out for her. Elsa turned back to him and waved then walked away.
" What's wrong with her? " Jason asked himself. He ran and caught up with her and held her hand. " Did I do anything wrong? " Jason asked her as Narla caught up with him.
" Nothing " Elsa replied. " Narla, can you leave us for a minute " Jason asked Narla." Anything " Narla said her face molten.
" Speak to me Elsa " Jason said. He knew that by her look, she was angry with him.
" Who is she? " Elsa asked him.
" Narla? " Jason asked. " She's the scouts instructor's daughter. I hope you are not intending to ask Josh questions like her.
Elsa's face relaxed at that moment. " It's nothing, don't mind me " She said.
" Is that so? " Jason asked her stunned. " Yeah " she answered. " Have you heard the new announcement? "
" The formation of teams of three in scouting activities? " Jason said. " Can you join Narla and I? " Jason asked.
" No problem about that, I'll join " Narla answered.
" I wonder what goes on in female brains, one second she was angry, another she's okay with me " Jason thought.

" We have been given a duty today. The Nican family has been placed on security list, Maximus has escaped from prison. We'll protect the family this night along with other scouts, but will take position in front of the house " Narla said.
" Where will the other scouts be? " Jason asked.
" They deem us not strong, so the other scouts will be positioned at the street, and at the gate and one with the family inside the house through out the house " Narla replied." And we are to maintain our positions through out the night " she added.
" How long do we till duty " Elsa asked.
" Um.... till night time duh .. " Narla said scornfully. Ignoring Narla, Elsa continued " Unless you're satisfied with sitting inside this guild all day long till night time, then I say we go out "
The idea sounded interesting to Jason and he immediately obliged. That forced Narla to agree too.
" So, where should we go to " Narla asked Elsa.
" There's a duel taking place in the scouts guild field, we could watch it and after which decide what next to do " Elsa replied.
" Or we can spar ourselves " Jason said.
" Or we could join the duel " Narla said." Great idea Narla " Jason said." I'll join now ". Jason ran to put his name up for the spar.
After Jason had registered up, he began to watch the duel between the two boys there. One was Fawkes, Don's friend while the other was a bald boy. They were both using their fists to fight while the referee stood by. Fawkes looked to be getting the upper hand putting the bald boy in a defensive position. Fawkes constantly threw punches at his arms that blocked his arms and face. The boy was slowly pushed to the end of the line. Fawkes delivered a sturdy kick to the boy's leg and punched his exposed face sending him falling to the ground out of the line.
Cheers erupted from the onlookers and his fans. Fawkes took of his shirt showing his finely built body drawing more cheers. The people that came to fight him according to the list lost one by one until it was Jason's turn.
Jason's walked into the box absent-mindedly listening to the referee's rules. He didn't even bother to pull his shoes. Fawkes smiled at the opportunity to panel best Jason.
" Start "
Cheers for Fawkes rang through the air, Jason just walked in to the end of the line and out his legs there.
" What's he doing? " Narla wondered. Fawkes looked at Jason smug look look and he refused to make a move. He walked towards Jason and set himself in a fighting position and swung his arm at Jason. Jason ducked, rolled on the floor and thrust his foot Fawkes leg. Fawkes stumbled, but was not nimble fir nothing. Be supported himself with his arm on the ground immediately he stumbled and with a flip balanced himself.
" Damn " Jason cursed. Fawkes readied himself for another round. " I guess Jason's plan did not work " Narla shook her head. Fawkes swung his arm widely and Jason was put on the defensive, running from him. Fawkes increased his speed and a round house kick pushed Jason down. Fawkes ran and kicked Jason's belly leaving him groaning in pain.
Jason stood up and went into the offensive trying a series of kicks he had read about. Some touched Fawkes but had no real impact. Fawkes dodged another of Jason's kicks and held his leg before flinging him out of the ring line.
Just before he could lose, Jason balanced himself upside down with his hands I. the line breathing heavily.
His joy was however shortlived, Fawkes came back and held Jason by his arms then lifted him up. He threw Jason back into the ring. Pain coursed through Jason's left arm because that was where he fell on. He stood up and rand to head hurt Fawkes, but Fawkes was faster than him. Fawkes held him by the shoulders and again, going Jason out of the ring.
" Fawkes Wins" the referee proclaimed.
Narla and Elsa scrambled through the crowd to Jason who lay down on the ground breathing heavily holding his left hand.
" Are you alright Jason? " Elsa asked him . They turned his face to look at them. " Answer me " Elsa demanded. " Yeah, I'm fine " Jason coughed. " Thanks ".
" This was a bad idea " Narla laughed drawing a chuckle from Jason. The two girls knelt down and besides Jason taking their time to berate Jason on his inglorious fight a and stupid plan.
" Alright, I get it " Jason said. The girls helped him to stand up and took him to one of the guild rooms.
" Want something to eat? It's already noon " Narla asked Jason.
" Yeah. I just hope I can still perform duty this night perfectly " Jason said. Narla left the room to get food for them leaving Jason and Elsa alone.
" Don't worry Jason, the other scouts are out looking for him around the town, and even if he evades them, the scouts at the gate and street will get him before we can do anything " Elsa said.
Narla came back into the room with food which they ate and finally slept off in the room.

" ALL SCOUTS ON DUTY, HEAD TO DUTY HALL NOW "
" Elsa, Narla wake up " Jason tapped them and relayed the message to them. They ran down to the duty hall sloppily due to sleep. There were a lot of scouts in there too.
" That's a female changing room " Elsa said pointing to a sign that indicated just that. " See you on duty " Road said as the two girls ran into the room.
Jason walked into the male changing room. " Look for the cupboard with your name inscribed in it and change quickly " a scout told him.
" Thanks " Jason replied. He walked across cupboards checking for his own and finally came a across his with the name Jaliel marked on it. He opened the cupboard and his eyes fell on the black boots, stripped beast core created pants and red chest armour made if beast cores as well. Hand gloves were stacked at the side with the same quality of materials. Dark helmets with red on the region his eyes were to be was also included among his armour and finally his dual blades. All in all, the status of the armour was tier 1.
" Cool suit " Jason muttered. His eyes quickly went to the the badge on his chest piece. " Bishop? that's my code name " he complained, but now, he had to put it on. Every other scouts also had identical armour. This was the scouts uniform. The only difference was their code names.
" Cat and Shussy " Jason said on the verge of laughter. This was Elsa's and Narla's name respectively.
" Bishop is yours, what's so funny about ours " Narla asked pouting.
" We've got one hour to be on duty, we don't have much time " Elsa said. Together, the three of them walked out of the scouts guild towards Nican family house. Jason jammed the hands together and the rims of his armour lit and his speed increased exponentially enabling him to be faster than usual. The girls did the same thing too.
They finally at Nican's family house and made the duty shift.
" So, you're the one who was posted here? " Don asked. He was the one who guarded this place along with other scouts since morning.
" You can leave now, we'll take over " Jason said. The three of them took their positions around the building to watch till dawn.

" This night, you die Thomas Nican " a man draped in black said as he walked towards the house street.
