She opens the window. I didn't care about anything. Honestly, all I wanted to do was sleep. For eternity. There was no purpose. I swing out of the window, almost forgetting it was two stories. I slip and fall all the way down. It was kind of euphoric. I fell on top of a bush.
"There was a ladder for a reason," she laughs, "that works too I guess."
I get up slowly. I grab my arm.
"Are you ok?" She asks.
"I'm fine." I state coldly.
"We have to hurry before sundown!" She blabs.
We started running into the middle of a forest. I'm getting cut by thorns. My shoes are all muddy and I just feel terrible. My eyes get heavy and I feel like passing out.
"How much farther?" I beg.
"Almost there!" She cheers.
Jeez, how much energy does she have? She leads me to a ravine over a stream. There is a ginormous tree. You could stand 4 men on top of each other and still not reach the top. It's the same for width.
"Aww," she said, "come on."
"You didn't reserve it," a girl yells from inside the tree.
Fay flipped through the paper stapled to the tree. "Neither did you!"
"Oh shut up," the girl comes out from a trail. She was cute. She had dark curly brown hair covering a potion of her eyes. "What are you looking at?" She spits near my shoes.
"She's new here," Fay continues, "everyone is a shiny new toy."
"Oh shut up," I smack her playfully.
"Please, Carly," she whined.
"Ugh," she walked away.
"You didn't have to scare her off!" I joke.
