It was a light night this one and for that reason Kassandra had left home. Maybe it was dangerous for a vampire to walk when the moon was shining full, but she didn't care. She liked the kiss of that werewolf icon on her face, it made her look even more beautiful, the unique shade that light gave her. Maybe in everyone it expressed something different, but in her you could note the innocent form of the naughty mind as she moved through the road with easy steps.
The Forest of Shadows was her home, a mysterious majestic place that belonged only to vampires and werewolves. No human dared to visit the forest, none of those who entered made it out alive. But sadly both the kinds who lived there didn't know how to share, which became reason for them to hate each other. The forest was immensely huge, with huge trees, some younger and some old thousands of years, some alive and green and some dead and black. There were few roads in between the woods and someone used them, but Kassy loved to enjoy them. She had come out on the Ghost Road, the one that stretched from the High Hill of the witches to the city, dividing the Vampire's Kingdom from the Werewolf's Kingdom. In both kingdoms the houses were way from one another, out of sight, since neither of the kinds could get along with their neighbors. That created the sense of an empty, yet haunted place, you could be alone and still feel watched, especially from the eyes of the animals, owls and bats, deers and dogs.
She walked for a bit catching small parts of the sky, it was hard to see it from the tall trees that seemed to stretch in infinity. Than in a moment she became like the wind and in a short time she found herself in the city, which they called Granada. The city was more populated than the forest, but not scarier and more alive. People liked to move around all night, to pubs and brothels, both men and women, but less of the second ones. As she walked down the streets it was dark despite the moon, because of the shadows, but Kassandra was a vampire, her eyes were made to see in the dark more than humans in daytime. She came across a pub and saw men talking and laughing it up, drinking beer and smoking cigarettes. She could also see women, most of them were serving the tables and talking on the laps of the clients, and rarely were sat.
Her eyes particularly noted a young girl, a badass by the looks. She saw her removing her apron and Kassandra became curious enough to concentrate her strong ears and overhear.
- I'm leaving boss., - her charming voice echoed as she turned to the owner of the bar, - It was enough for today.
- Okay, be sure to come earlier tomorrow, - he answered, - I'll miss you.
"Today" sounded strange to Kassy, although she had heard it so many times. By her parts they said "tonight", since the day was for sleeping.
Soon she found herself on the back of the wooden bar waiting for the girl to pass. And when she did Kassandra grabbed her by the shoulders with the speed of light and gently pulled her against the wood. Her deep look in the girl's eyes prohibited her from screaming. They were pale brown and her hair dark brown, wavy and long, her nose thick and turning back light, the body irresistible.
- You are calm, - Kassy's voice echoed in her white soft ears, as the stare lost the eyes and lowered narrow on dark full red lips on a white skin, - there is no reason to be afraid of, for I'm not here to hurt you.
The girl looked enchanted as gentle voice came out of her mouth, letting there a view of flesh and white teeth:
- Of course! I trust you.
- Just relax, you will love what I do. And after you will go way and forget everything.
Than she grabbed her hair with the left hand and got her closer, as the right hand went on the waist. At first she kissed on the right cheek and then went on kissing more and towards the lips, until she bit there just a bit. The girl closed her eyes as it felt delicious, but opened them again with a moan of slight pain, feeling the cold bite on her neck. Soon all of it became warmer and her body colder, skin paler, as the vampire girl sucked her sweet blood. She removed her head soon enough to make sure not to hurt her, than looked in her eyes once more and said:
- What's your name?
- Laura, - she heard an answer as she got a handkerchief out of her pocket and wrapped it around the neck to stop the bleeding.
- There will be nothing wrong Laura. We never met. Now go home and make up an excuse for the scratch.
After she disappeared like a lighting to go back in her own home. Laura came back in herself confused about what happened. She felt her neck was wet and when she put her hand, there was the red drink. But just as Kassandra ordered her, in her mind she came up with a random excuse to believe.
