Xander smiled at her compliment. Part of that smile was because of the position that he had tricked her, and part of it was being amazed. The girl who had been bothering his mind was here in front of him. He thought that she was pretty, but for him, she was but a kid who caught his attention.
He knew that few girls at her age were also trying hard to be noticed by him, especially if he went to the bar or even at work. But, as always, it didn't make him interested. Most of them were too young for him, just like the girl in front of him. He even didn't know her name.
"Thank you," he replied while busy glancing at the garden's entrance, and Lizeth noticed his reaction. He seemed to be worried about something. However, whatever it was, Lizeth knew that she didn't have the right to be nosy.
He was just a gardener anyway. He probably was worried that his boss might have caught him talking at work.
"Okay, sir I got to go," she said as she had decided to go back to the maintenance office, hoping that maybe at that moment Nil and Petal were already done with their hanky panky.
He nodded with a smile that looked more like a relieved smile.
Lizeth was about to go out when she saw something along the way that caught her attention. A little bird seemed to be in trouble. It was crying as its little foot was tied with the plant vines, trapping it and preventing it from moving. Lizeth shook her head, seeing that the birds were actually in the corner end of the garden and knowing that she should go. It might take a little bit of her time if she would rescue that little birdie.
Nevertheless, how can she not?
It looked so cute and so desperate. If no one could see it and be trapped for long, it might die. Lizeth glanced towards her wristwatch again, and she had a very few minutes left 'till she would be obliged to get into the production area or else she would be marked late by their team leader.
She immediately ran to where the bird was getting into the bushes. She crouched down to untangle its tiny feet, making her mostly covered with the plants. Then, she witnessed something she must not have.
A lady in an office uniform strode fast into the garden with an extensive and excited smile. Her high heels almost got damaged with the cobblestone pathway, yet she never cared.
"Xander? Are you there?" She was calling at someone. However, Lizeth knew that there was only one person inside the garden, and it was the gardener. So, there's only one thing that came to her mind, the gardener at the same time hunky daddies name was Xander.
'Cool name,' she thought as she slowly got up holding the bird in her hands. In time when Xander came off of the pavilion to meet the lady. The lady excitedly hugged him and kissed him on the lips and as expected he responded hungrily.
Lizeth was startled while standing there staring at them with a gaping mouth. Their eyes were both closed and none of them noticed her. Xander himself thought that she was already gone and out of the garden.
Lizeth could be easily amused with love stories and a story between an office employer with the gardener was quite cute. But at that moment she didn't know what happened, her gut was telling her different things. She hated looking at both of them and she didn't know why.
Was it because she got a crush on hunky Daddy?
Lizeth shook her head once again, she didn't want to entertain that thought and would never again. But, still it was quite awkward to be staring over two lovers making out. She had to skedaddle before they would notice her.
However, with her little movement, she absentmindedly held the bird inappropriately or rather a little bit firmer, making it screech loudly. It obviously took at least one person's attention.
Zander opened his eyes and saw Lizeth watching them, yet he never stopped making out with the girl. There was a mixed emotion in his eyes, if Lizeth had to guess, he probably was scared, worried at the same time, seducing.
Lizeth never thought why she had to include seducing in that description and she hated to think that seeing hunky daddy making out with that girl was giving her uncomfortable feelings. She felt like she was shivering down her spine and unconsciously bitten her lips.
She didn't know what the reaction was about but she felt like it was so embarrassing.
Just before the lady who was kissing Zander could notice her, she abruptly scurried out of the garden.
'What the hell happened today? Why do all the people seem to be too horny?' She thought back to two different scenarios when she witnessed two couples, hiding and making out.
Lizeth, would like to wash over her thoughts and must focus on her duty, she tossed the bird, freeing it and it flew before she walked back towards the maintenance office hoping that Nil and Petal were done making out. She was relieved after seeing the maintenance office door widely open, that only meant one thing, they were done.
"Good morning!" She greeted Nil with an awkward grin while popping out his office door.
"Oh hey, Lizeth, is there any problem?" Nil replied while being busy wiping his sweaty face with his face towel. He was so sweaty as if he had been in a workout.
'Well that was quite a workout,' Lizeth thought with a sneaky grin.
"Yes?" Nil asked, wondering over her reaction.
"Uh, yes Nil, my machine was broken or kinda, I don't know what happened. It wasn't working, can you help me?" She brought her consciousness back and halted herself from imagining and reminding all that she had witnessed.
"Sure, I'll be in your area, in a minute."
