Chapter 8 - Hungry Wolves (II)

After a little chit chat, Mr. Cho take a quick glance to everyone in room and whispers in Amanda's ears, "Our branch in DC is acting up pretty badly these days. The number of scandals piling up have already reached to alarming volume. Master is quite worried."

Amanda understood the agenda of today's meeting. She thought, 'So now all the old hags gonna give suggestions and one of those from PR will go to the branch to fix it up. Urgh, I lost my peaceful morning schedule to this boring meeting.'

"Its not going to be easy this time." Mr. Cho comments worriedly as if reading her lazed expression.

"So, what it has to do with me? Its not my company anyway." Amanda said while blowing her perfectly manicured nails. She still hasn't settled the grudges for her parents to act lovingly and show any care to them.

"Cupcake, try to understand. Its dangerous this time. Someone definitely holds deep enmity to our company and decided to attack our weakest branch. Shares have been manipulated, stock price is going down hill at alarming scale, if this problem isn't solved, we might have to give up on this branch." Mr. Cho comments. After much analysing the situation, he finally caught hold of it. He's sure that his master too knows about this and maybe knew who the real culprit isโ€ฆ but still haven't take any strict action.

"Mam these are lists of activities going on in that company." Said Mia holding a tablet.

Amanda took it from her hands and starts checking out the issues.

"Interesting. But I still have other works than worrying over this." Amanda said and goes back to check her documents of the day.

'Like hell I'm going back to that place. Its high chance I'll meet him too. Which I certainly don't wish to do now. He's happy in his place. And I'm happy here. This collision of stars will cause destruction in both of our lives.' Amanda have already made up her mind not to go back because she still was coward she used to be in past. Not now, not ever.

'Thud!'

The door opens by two burly bodyguards as a man in mid 50s entered the room with powerful steps. Round rimless glasses set on his sculptured face and his grey hair swept across the head, styled by wax. Wearing a soft smile on his face, though everyone knows how much a devil this person is, he walks into the room with unhurried pace. There was a pin drop silence in room as Mr. Cho greeted in low voice, "Good morning Mr. Chairman."

While doing a whole 90-degree bow. Others follows one by one as a part of discipline. At last, Amanda mimicks the poker face a give her greeting.
